Sure, this place is super cheap for an all-inclusive....but read the title again. YOU DON'T EVEN GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. You could stay at a cheap hotel down the street and get a better value than you do here. Pictures look nothing like the real deal. Beach....what beach?! Two pools, both filthy. We even dubbed one of the pools as the "hair pool". The room is minimal. No fridge, microwave, hair dryer, or ice machine. Gym was closed, washer and dryer in building were out of service. The wifi only works in the lobby where there are sales people constantly harassing you. Literally will chase you down to try and sell you day trip deals. Most of the staff were rude and didn't speak much English. Other then the bartenders. They were cool. Shout out to Genner. He was the best and he worked his tail off. And we were the only ones who left him a tip! One bartender for a full house is ridiculous. The food was mediocre and little options. Had to get there early before it was all picked through. Needless to say, we spent most of our time away from the resort and even spent extra money on food and drinks away from the resort because it was that bad. I would never go back here and would highly recommend looking elsewhere if you are considering staying here. You'll spend a couple hundred extra dollars on food and drinks in other places anyways! …
First of all, all the amenities they offer are just words on paper. No coffee maker, no coffee anywhere in the hotel. They had a Starbucks in the lobby but was never open, i had to walk to the gas station every morning. No microwaves, no fridges, no hair dryer, no room service, broken tvs, no full buffets, no food or drinks after 10pm and no clean pools. Food and hair floating in pools because they weren't cleaned. Hallways were dirty, food was not allowed to be brought into rooms, and the dining area was more like a church potluck with dirty tablecloths. Food was the same everyday, and was not that good. Snack bar by the pool was closed for good. The ONLY good thing was the bartenders. Very friendly and they were the only ones who spoke English. We were not informed of all the construction that would be happening all week or that half their services would not be available. No outdoor spa, no outdoor dining and no actual beach to swim in. Very grassy, muddy and too much seaweed to go into the water. I would never waste my money here again. Lesson learned.…
GABRIEL BY POOL BAR THE MOST INCREÍBLE SERVICE 6 STAR FoR HIM Just cause him I will back for sure and then hotel is so relax it's a perfect agape from the routine just make sure you have Gabriel by your bartender
The staff were very helpful and pleasant, this hotel needs some more renovations to call themselves a resort. It was all inclusive but there were vendors on the premises selling snacks/food items, we say a vendor selling souvenirs out of a kiosk stand and there was no direct access to the beach. The buffet was subpar and there was hardly anything to consume that did not have pork or for anyone vegan. I would not recommend this place to anyone, they should've left this as the Holliday Inn that it was prior.
We went to celebrate my friend's birthday and we ask for a waiter three times, no one came I was going to the pool bar for the drinks and I couldn't take more than two glasses with me. So if we were 5 how many rounds I we had to do from beach to bar??? It wasn't until I said we were celebrating birthday and we had a champagne and we nedded some glasses that they send us a waiter (2 and a half hours later of our arrival) So thanks to Luis Moreno and Manuel for taking care of us excellently.... So not the best experience, but better when they started to take care of us. .
I’m writing this to give you a heads up about this place. First of all I was very disappointed I stayed there for 7 days. The Ocean View Arena in NOT a Holiday inn.The room was ok sheets were clean beds are acceptable the WiFi was not working or was really slow that you couldn’t used it. Some stuff was friendly but some of them were not especially in the bar inside the building and at the snack bar. We Had all inclusive but the food was not good it didn’t had any flavor they served rice, veggies every day for dinner and they have some options for protein. The pool was soo crowded that we couldn’t even get in we were too afraid because of the COVID 90% of the guest were not wearing masks in the hotel and it was too risky to get in the elevator because it was so small and they were getting in with no mask even though I had a mask we were shoulder to shoulder, I don’t think the elevator gets clean I was there seven days and I didn’t see anybody cleaning it not even the ones during the day. Guests were walking into the lobby with clothing soaking wet that the floor was so wet that I almost fell a couple times and no one care about mopping the floor. There is no beach room the water in the ocean those not look blue or green it’s duty do to all the boats around the area. I can write a lot more about my experience but my advice is just DO NOT STAY In this place for you on safety.…
I want to say from the get-go that my wife and I stayed there for 4.5 weeks when the virus shut down almost all the other hotels in Cancun. I figured the Holiday Inn brand can’t be that bad. We were happy to at least find a place that was opened. Well, it’s no longer named Holiday Inn. Their name is now “Ocean View Cancun Arenas”. I think they lost their franchise or just didn’t want to pay the franchise fees. First, all the staff in all areas were extremely friendly. The location is quite close to the downtown area but still on the beach. Also, it’s got to be one of the least expensive hotels in the whole 15 mile strip of hotels. That’s about it. There’s a hostel that’s cheaper. Now the negatives: Unfortunately the property is very old. (40-45 years) One of the two main elevators was broken almost the whole time. Another elevator was also out of service the last week. The internet was non-existent or very poor. My wife had to go to the lobby nightly to work as that had WiFi (barely). Unfortunately the lobby also had mosquitoes and no a/c. The hot water also was non-existent or Luke warm 90% of the whole stay. Perhaps the worst part was the lack of a beach or clean water. The rocky 2 meter strip does not constitute a beach. The mucky seaweed covers most of the small swimming area which is seasonal I admit. But the thing is there are boar piers on both sides and oil and gasoline make the water dirty. I did not swim there even once! The stock photos are years old. The ocean progressed inward and now there’s no space for lounge chairs. Also unacceptable was the odor of raw sewage coming from the pipes in the bathroom. Obviously the pipes in the building need to be changed. We had changed rooms a couple of times. The food was ok though not great for a vegetarian. The waiters rarely got the order correct but they were all so friendly. Antonio, the entertainment guy was great and livened up the pool area. So, I hate to be negative overall but the place needs work. It’s frequented by locals I believe whose budget is limited. Just don’t expect much and you’ll be fine. Howard S.…
I am writing to tell you of my huge disappointment with this hotel. This hotel is marketed as a 3.5 star all-inclusive hotel, however, my stay from the dates of 25/6/2020 - 28/6 was horrific and unbelievable. First, the way you describe the hotel and the pictures you show does not match the current condition of the hotel. In addition, you describe amenities that do not exist. First, the wifi service in the rooms is very limited. Next, no water aerobics classes were offered, and there were no activities on the beach. There were not enough beach chairs to accommodate the guests. My room being over the pool had no sound insulation so I heard the activity at the pool all day and night long. The food quality was sub-par and they often ran out of things before the meal time was over. Finally, and more importantly, this hotel is not taking safety seriously during the COVID 19 pandemic. Before visiting this hotel, I stayed at another hotel in Cancun where my temperature was taken before every meal, silverware were delivered in sealed packages and each and every worker (bar tender, waiter, service person, cleaner, etc.) wore gloves and masks (worn correctly) at all times. In fact, guests were required also to wear masks when moving about and when ordering drinks or going to the tables in the restaurants. Here, there were multiple people not wearing masks ever. For example, most of the bartenders had masks around their chins, not covering their mouths or noses. Many servers in the restaurants, the hostess by which everyone passes, and even the towel keeper were not wearing masks at all or were not wearing masks correctly. There is only one server who consistently wore his mask correctly and often gloves, named Diego. I am not sure if this is acceptable by the mostly national guests, however, for this American, this is not acceptable. Even the hourly cleaning chart in the public restroom by the pool had no marks on it in days. This hotel clearly does not care about the safety of its guests. I sent an email with my concerns to the hotel management and the travel agent (which also forwarded it to the hotel management), and I received absolutely no reply. Do not risk your health with deals at this hotel. Do not go.…
I Stayed in Room 2221 From May 9, 2020 to May 17, 2020. I was very grateful to the helpful staff to stay there. The staff were wonderful. Special appreciation for Gabriel the Bar tender, Gabriel , Diego, in the Restaurant,The Maid who serviced my room Sandra - She made many animals out of towels - each day it was a pleasant surprise. Eduardo Garcia was very helpful in helping me with my reservation details. The whole staff was really friendly and very helpful. Thank all of you for making my stay more enjoyable.
From our arrival the people were very courteous. Rooms were simple but very well kept. The beach by the hotel was not pretty due to sargassum season, however the hotel is not at fault. The food was delicious the servers were beyond helpful. Bartenders both inside and outside were polite and respectful. The animators are such joyful people. If you’re looking for something fancy and want to feel like a tourist would recommend closer to the hotel zone. However, this is a place has locals working who can give you the tips & secrets of Cancun. Only complain is the TV & blowdryer are outdated. The restaurant as well could use better ventilation not only for the guests but for the workers who are dripping in sweat yet always with a smile on their faces! 100% will and have returned here
