Emporio Cancun stands out for its prime beachside location and for the inviting atmosphere that many guests enjoy, with a special nod to the hotel's overall cleanliness and well-kept grounds. While some travelers find the packages to offer good value, others caution about hidden fees. The service receives a mixed bag of reviews, ranging from friendly and attentive to slow and disorganized.
Room experiences also vary, with certain guests appreciating the spaciousness and views, but others pointing out maintenance and service shortcomings. Amenities like pools and beach access are popular, though improvements in evening entertainment and pool upkeep are suggested.

Very efficient room service and staff usually greets you when passing by.
The breakfast buffet is very good and has everything for every taste.
We did not choose the all inclusive fare they offer since we preferred to visit
the Restaurants on the main Hotel strip and in and around the market in central
Cancun. (Coming from Brussels with over 1200 Restaurants we are a bit spoiled)
The Emporio is just about to open 2 more Restaurants with sea view which will certainly be greatly appreciated by guests. Yes, with some staff communications can be quite a challenge...but it helps to practice the basic Spanish before arriving to Cancun to get by. The airport is only about 17' away from the airport which helps after a 10h flight. We would recommend that the music loudspeakers around the pool area would be tuned down. (One can hear them up to the 11th floor) The Hotel operates on a no cash basis but leaving a tip in your hotel room for your room maid can make their day. Peter & Didi H.

+1
We booked a 5 day trip with the Oasis Palm initially, after checking in the 1st day we realized we made a HUGE mistake thankfully we were able to get a good last minute
deal at Emporio.
Construction: Yes there’s construction going on, no it did not bother anyone as you can’t hear the noise and they’re done early, it will be out of your way. Promise.
Check in: It was quick, the hotel gave us a nice partial ocean view room no extra cost.
Room: You will find a fridge/waters, safe, toothpaste, vanity kit, a small kit with band aids aspirin and alka seltzer (this came in handy) coffee maker. Very modern looking room, comfortable with cold A/C and plenty of outlets. Comfortable beds.
Wifi: Free and fast.
Staff: Everyone was nice and polite, wait staff were quick and attentive.
Food: The food was really really good, you can get the buffet or you can order off the menu. (for the all inclusive package). Never had an issue ordering by the pool or at the beach. They had wait staff available throughout the day all over the property. Chicken wings, fries etc all included no issues.
They have a café inside a small convenience store (on site) with cold cut sandwiches and coffee drinks (all inclusive). Store items do cost money but they’re 711 type of items, all priced reasonable.
The BEACH: Hands down best in the area because they’re ONLY hotel that cleans up all the sea weed that washes ashore. They do this first thing in the morning, errymornin. It is fantastic.
They have a ramp with direct access to a cabaña for handicapped folks. This was nice to see.
The Pools: They have plenty of pools around the property so you don’t feel trapped. Crystal clear water. Really good areas for small children.
Gym: The gym is open and it is very basic just enough to keep you active away from home. Some free weights, bench, treadmill etc.
See pictures for more.
We would go back 100%.
We traveled with two little kids, my wife loved it the kids loved this place even more.

I want to start this review with saying that we had a fabulous vacation, the resort contributed to a part of that but certainly not all. We’ve travelled all over Europe and the Caribbean and have a wealth of experience as to a good or bad resort, and this one was just meh...
Cons:
The main entrance was shabby, small and dimly lit which did not give a good first impression. The resort grounds were quite small, and not much to do for entertainment other than swim. At night there was NO entertainment which was very surprising, made for early nights. It is definitely a family resort however there was no place where kids could actually play. There was only one place to eat which is the main buffet, located in the centre of the resort but an eyesore due to the blue tarp that is wrapped around the building. The breakfast was great, lunch was alright but dinner was not good. We chose all inclusive however opted to not eat dinner on the resort and went out for dinner every night but 2. The selection was limited, and not overly appealing at times. When getting food I felt that people were everywhere feeling quite congested. For some reason, we had to sign a bill every time we left a meal even though we chose all inclusive which left us waiting around needlessly at the end of our meals. There was one al a carte place for dinner other than the buffet but getting a reservation was difficult. The rooms are tiny and needed some updating, which they are in the process of completing. It was also a strange layout, where some rooms could connect to others, so if you were in a connected room (not the main) you had access to a large balcony that you could not actually use and had to keep the shutters closed, very weird. This resort appears to cater to spanish speaking people or Mexicans on vacation which made communication hard at times. There was not any servers walking around during the day offering service or drinks by the pool, when you did get a drink at the pool bar, they wanted you to stay close so they didn’t have to collect the cups. There was construction going on all day (except Sunday) but it wasn’t bothersome like others reported.
Pros:
We never had a hard time finding a seat around the pool, plenty of space to choose from and people didn’t hog chairs. The beach was beautiful and clean, and again we were always able to find a seat. The resort was great for location, able to travel easily to Plaza de Isla, or walk for dinner. Room cleaning service was consistent with great black out blinds. We had a few issues with the air conditioner and the power but they were promptly dealt with. The pools were a good temperature and very clean, as well as the grounds, very well maintained.

We spent 12 days in this hotel on an all-inclusive basis. This proved a gigantic mistake on several levels. Though both rooms had a beach view, the hotel is adding a new wing right in the centre of the complex so the construction works start at 8am each morning. This is unacceptable. The food was deplorable - poor selection and even poorer presentation - of any of the three meals a day. We had to eat out every day in order to savour the great Mexican cuisine, which added to the cost. One needs to make special requests every day if one wants to have more than one bottle of water in the room. And despite the all inclusive arrangement, one must pay for an espresso which resembles more to a filter coffee than to any espresso I've ever tasted. WiFi is not available 24/7, especially in the rooms closest to the beach. We feel cheated.
The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean. The beach is divine, but that cannot be attributed to the hotel.

This was my first trip to Mexico and was solo at first. Being a female I was a little nervous. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. Everything was clean and the food and drinks were outstanding. Check-in did take a while but worth the wait. This happens at many hotels and to complain about it does not make sense to me. I thought the room was great and the cleaning staff did a beautiful job of cleaning every day, including washing the floors (no carpet thankfully) The staff was constantly keeping the entire resort tidy. There is a convenience store on sight (24hrs) and a short walk will take you to other convenient stores and the bus. There are scheduled activities for adults and kids (volleyball, ping pong tournaments, dance lessons etc.). This is what I would consider a laid back resort which is what I was looking for. So if you want to "party" it's probably not your kind of place, though there were many people doing that just not into the wee hours. My only complaint is that I had to go home. I would definitely go back to this resort.

Visited here with my partner and we were really pleasantly surprised that it is as good as it seems! There is excellent WiFi across the whole hotel; multiple pools and hot tubs; and the hotel goes right down to the sea where there is the nicest stretch of beach (no rocks, which other hotels have by their seafront). There was never a time that we could not find a deckchair which was a huge bonus. The pools are cold, as other reviews have mentioned, but it's 30 degrees so that is a huge bonus. Hot tubs are hot (I found them too warm in the sun, but in the evening it was lovely).
We were not all inclusive and all cocktails were around £4 which you could get from the swim up bar in the pool.
Sad to see other people unhappy with the staff as Cancun is one of the politest and friendliest places I've ever visited, including Emporio's reception staff, cleaners, other staff, taxi drivers, etc. Even though I only speak limited Spanish they were helpful and friendly.
There is a Starbucks and snack/souvenir shop in the hotel and a fresh beach towel whenever you want one. By reception there is a stand where you can get good discounts on activities (and they arrange taxi pickup and drop off from outside the hotel which is included). In the evening they put on some fun shows (including a celebration of Mexico, with dancers showcasing different regions of Mexico).
The hotel is in a great location - 7/11 opposite, walkable to some great restaurants, or a bus goes outside every 30 seconds for 50p a ride!
It was quiet in the room, with working aircon, a safe, ironing board, balcony, walk in shower, etc. On our last day we were able to leave our suitcase with the reception so that we could sunbathe after checking out and before we had to leave for the airport (book the airport taxis through the hotel, much cheaper).
I am not a paid reviewer (promise), just really glad we chose to come here. In other Caribbean countries we have visited, for similar price hotels, things have looked great but actually been quite old and shabby in reality. Everything in Cancun was fantastic and new and the people are great. Would recommend Emporio for couples, families, friends.

After months on lockdown we were finally able to take our family trip. Emporio is a nice little hotel on the beach. This hotel is very clean and the staff is on point. They check your temperature at the door before entering the hotel and at the restaurant. I purchaed the all inclusive deal because food can add up fast with a family of 4. I noticed a lot of complaints about the food but honestly it's about the same as any other all inclusive meal package but maybe one smaller scale. On the second day we discovered a menu that you can order from at no extra cost and we were much happier with those options even though we could always find something to eat with the buffet options.
Overall I thin m that the best thing a bout this hotel is the service. ESPECIALLY in the restaurant. Daisy Daisy Daisy,, thank you so much for your wonderful service. You move so gracefully through the restaurant making sure everyone is well taken care of as well keeping a beautiful smile on your face and an upbeat personality. The bar tender at the main bar also makes a really good blue mojito he said its his special drink. Beach access was a breeze and its always easy to get what you need in the towel department.
There's also a small play area at one of the pools for families with small children. Thank Emporio for a wonderful experience

This is a very family friendly hotel, but even though we were just two adults, we enjoyed our stay very much. Based on some of the pictures I saw here, our room and many of the hotel facilities have been renovated. The beach has plenty of beds and chairs available and the hotel did a great job of cleaning up the kelp/seaweed each morning. I saw some negative reviews regarding the breakfast, but as a Mexican American, the breakfast was an authentic Mexican breakfast and I had no complaints. The only negative is If you’re not doing the all-inclusive option for dining, there are only 2 restaurants within walking distance around the hotel. The hotel also offers onsite Covid-19 testing for $25.

Last summer I went to Cancun with my all friends as a graduation trip and we stayed in this hotel and let me tell you it was amazing.
First of all, the food was delicious, the buffet menu was very varied and it had different thematic every day, like one day it was Italian, other day Chinese, Mexican, and so on, I never got bored about the food.
Also I have to recognize how clean everything looked, when we got to the room I remember smelling fresh air with a little bit of mint, also the bed sheets were whiter than snow and were folded very nice, everything looked so organized.
The only complaint I could have about this hotel is that is constructed a bit weird, it took us years to find our room every time we leaved it, but anyway maybe it was only us that struggle with that.
