My boyfriend and I stayed at Terracaribe for one night out of our 7 night stay. The toilet and shower didn’t work and the bathroom wasn’t clean. They agreed to give us a refund for the remaining 6 nights. This was a month ago. Still waiting….. They haven’t replied to my messages or my emails

Don’t be fooled by the reviews and pictures and descriptions. The area isn’t the best of areas for Cancun and that doesn’t even include a review on the room. It wasn’t clean, the bedding was not washed properly, the walls were mouldy, not entirely good for health so I had to leave after 1 night. Will deffo contact the bank for refund. The upside was the hosts are very friendly and the wifi was good too

This was my second stay in Terracaribe. My first time was a pleasant friendly experience and that’s why I decided to stay in this hotel again. What a mistake! 1st room I got, the toilet wasnt working so I was given 2nd room (the bathroom wasn’t clean: used shower gel and some wrapping on the floor) I would get over that. Checking out next day: What made my stay absolutely shocking was behaviour of their receptionist (older guy) who asked for 100 pesos for a damaged towel otherwise I cannot leave the hotel! The damage was make up on a towel!!! Yes I washed my hands after putting make up on and make up stains are the damage. I told the receptionist to call a police because I’m not paying for a dirty towel & want to leave. Then he asked me to wash it in the sink! Shocking ridiculous and absurd that’s how I would describe my last experience in this hotel. There are hundreds of hotels in downtown. Save yourself money and stay somewhere else.

I went for 4 days with my family. Hotel was nice, clean, neat rooms, pool area is very calm and nice/ clean, A/C and wifi was great. Staff was helpful. Breakfast is very very poor ( toast, eggs, coffee). Bus stop R1 is 3 blocks away, about 8 min walking. Location is a pro. There is a mall very near, across the street there is a go mart with plenty of food and drinks. Taxis stop right outside of the hotel. Overall I would visit again due to location and clean rooms with all the basics!

I booked this hotel for a night to catch a flight to the airport having stayed in Tulum for most of trip Pros: Clean rooms Helpful staff Ok location to mingle with locals with plenty local dining options Cons: No in-room refrigeration In-room wifi did not work despite efforts to get it working (probably hasn't worked for a while) Overall, a budget friendly option for any travellers. Would have been great if the wifi worked in room Ideally, a score of 3.5 if that option was available.

We were looking for a cheap hotel so we were not expecting something great. The hotel is clean, which is why I gave 2* instead of 1. The whole staff did not care at all about us. Check in took for ever, we were missing the "do not disturb sign" so we ask reception for it and they said that they couldn't help, except asking for our room not to be cleaned (who would want that?). The staff starts walking in the corridors with walkie-talkies from 8 in the morning, making it impossible to sleep. We arrived for breakfast at 10:30am, and even though the breakfast was supposed to be served until 11, the staff was just there, eating and not paying any attention to us. Once our order arrived, it was obviously pretty bad. We felt so uncomfortable there that we left 3 days early, not even asking for our money back. The reception did not even ask us how everything went when we told them we were checking out early. A hotel should be your "home away from home", if you work in hospitality, you should make your clients feel welcome and not like they are bothering you

Your experience with the hotel will depend on how much you need WiFi in your room and wether or not you have noisy neighbors. If your plans in Cancun are to visit other places most of the time, like the beach or the mall, then the room is clean with AC, it has Satellite TV and a private bathroom. There is a pool and a lounging area for sun. You can buy all-inclusive passes at the major hotels on the beach for about $100 USD per person. If you're looking to explore Isla Mujeres, spend a day or two at an All-Inclusive, visit Puerta Cancun for shopping and dinner, then this might be an ideal hotel. If you want to spend a good portion of your time in your hotel room, this is not the hotel for you. While there is a table with chairs in every room, there is no refrigerator and no WiFi. It's also not a proper desk. You'll have to walk 10 minutes to the mall for food (Subway, McDonalds, Chinese, Tacos, etc.) or order delivery. There are grocery stores in the city, but you can't store perishable items; they'll spoil. The rooms are also not sound proof, so if you have noisy neighbors, you might find the experience less desirable than you were hoping. The noise from the street traffic is minor, but the acoustics of the hallways will make your neighbors entering and exiting their rooms audible. I'm giving this hotel 4 stars for being very clean, having a comfortable bed and offering excellent AC, but it is not like spending a night in the Marriott. This is not a good hotel for doing laptop work, there's no WiFi. This would not be a great place to be intimate with your spouse, it's not sound proof. It's a cheap, but clean, room in a central location to explore the city of Cancun. It's a good hotel for exploring Cancun. You can take a quick taxi or bus to the beach or city center.

This is a great hotel for a great price. The place is very clean and has very spacious rooms and bathrooms. If you’re looking for a place that isn’t overly expensive but still in range of the hotel zone this is your place. Cabs go from 150-250 pesos to take you there don’t pay any more than that. Everything at the hotel is very nice and much better than you’ll expect. The only downside is that it’s located on a weird corner which makes it hard to get to exactly if you have your own rental vehicle. The traffic runs a little different where it is.

This hotel was disappointing from the start at check in, after traveling for 14 hours we got told via google translate that there was no hot water in out rooms and wouldn't be for 3 days! We stayed a total for 5 nights.. We little english we managed to get moved to a much smaller room after a night with no hot water. This was all they offered us and we still had to pay full price! The location is in downtown so far from the main attractions, no tours will pickup from this hotel so you have to find an alternative stop. Even to get a bite to eat for breakfast is hard as the nearest food place was a 30min walk away. Pool and outside amenities are nice and very clean. Would only recommend this hotel for 1-2 nights max!

Me and my family were excited to arrive at this hotel. It was our first time visiting Cancun and boy we were so naive to what was coming in front of us. I wish I knew of the timeshare scam prior to our arrival and we would have enjoyed Cancun to the max. We booked Terra Caribe through booking.com and after reading the reviews, I was afraid that I was getting a bad hotel. It turns out that the hotel did offer the amenities of the pool, hot tub, wifi in the lobby and hot and cold showers in our rooms. We stayed in room 303 for 3 nights in December 2017 from 22-24 checked out on 25th. Upon checking in, my husband paid with his credit card to the receptionist by the name of Daniel. Me and my mom along with my daughter was approached by a friendly young lady who started to ask from where we were and if it was our first time in Cancun. We were tired but excited to be there, she then offered us half price tours to isla mujeres and captain hook. I was excited about the offer because I had seen in the internet the cost of these tours and indeed she had them at half price. We told her that we would think about it and give her a reply the next morning. she then proceeded to invite us to a free breakfast and a 90 min tour to a new hotel that she was promoting and maybe on our next stay, stay at that hotel for the same price we were paying at terra Caribe. Little did we know that what we were attending was a timeshare presentation. The next morning we were excited and punctual to attend this free breakfast and get to know the place. We were escorted by a taxi and we drove to Westin but was introduced to Club Regina. We spent 4 hours there instead of the promised 90 minutes presentation. In the end my husband bought the timeshare under false promises. We called the sales person who sold the timeshare to us and let him know we wanted to cancel that very day and to return the deposit he took from our credit card. We went on the 3rd day to Club Regina to cancel personally but was again denied the cancellation and was intimidated by the sales person that we had to pay 30% of the total cost they had sold us. Upon arriving at home we started to promote the hotel without knowing the scam. A loving friend called us and brought to our attention that we were being scammed that what we were doing was inviting friends to attend these presentations as part of the stay. I started looking all over the internet about Club Regina and Raintree Vacations Club and boy was I disappointed about all the bad reviews, I realized that the young lady that sold us half price tours was all part of the timeshare scam and to my disappointment even the hotel terracaribe allows these people to be posted there to target new comers like us. The hotel Terra Caribe is good and at a good location, they even have a storage room and allowed us to use the pool after we had checked out, but I would never go back because of this bad experience. I wish I knew that Cancun has timeshare scam all over. My little country is a jewel because we are genuine people who are not trying to take money out of tourist. We taught that the locals in Cancun were like us but now we realize that all they are in is for the money. I would never go back to Cancun, atleast for now. My tip to you, never accept any half price tours and don't trust friendly faces, its not worth wasting your time going to a presentation that will just take away your time and meet aggresive sales persons that all they want is to pressure you into buying something you do not need.
