We just completed our 2nd stay at Live Aqua. Both times we stayed for 9 nights. Both times equally amazing (pre COVID & during COVID pandemic). From check in until departure- 10 DAYS not one complaint! They just "get it." It's almost like they can read your minds and anticipate exactly what you need. The staff is incredible and treat you like family; welcoming & proud to serve you. The report is exceptionally clean & the spa like aroma upon entry has a calming effect immediately . Food is AMAZING (Hidden Garden is our new fave. We went 3 times fro dinner during this stay and each time we requested Miguel. He was patient with us as we had lots of questions and wanted to explore the menu. He was also super sweet & attentive). Peaceful, serene, & absolutely stunning beach with powder soft white sand & turquoise waters. The service is nothing less than exceptional. We have visited Cancun 8 times staying at various resorts. Luckily, we found Live Aqua & are now #Aqualovers for life. We don't even bother looking at other options. We know we want to be at Live Aqua. Left 3 hours ago and already counting down to the next visit. Sophie, guest relations, is the sweetest, most helpful and helped make our 25th anniversary extra special. From giving suggestions to orchestrating special requests. Arabi also went the extra mile to make sure we were always taken care of. We always upgrade to get access to the Aqua Club and we LOVE It. Wouldn't go without it. We stayed in in Ocean Front King room this time and for us it was perfecto. Last time, we had the Terra suite with the added living room- but I don't think we ever used it, so we didn't upgrade to the suite this time. The regular room is plenty big enough for us and plus, we are hardly ever in the room- the property, pool, and beach is so amazing you won't want to be in the room much- trust me! Thanks for the amazing vacation & memories, Live Aqua.

We recently stayed a few nights at the Live Aqua in Cancun. Despite the currently COVID-19 precautions, the staff were all extremely pleasant and gracious. In particular, one of the lounge servers, Mariana, was very helpful and friendly. We discussed cigars, rum, tequila, and mezcal. We had just stayed at a couple of other resorts nearby, and found that Live Aqua was the best at providing "normal" full-service while still observing the COVID-19 safeguards.

We visited Live Aqua cancun for my fiancé’s birthday last week. We really enjoyed the food for the most part, hanging out by the pool, and the cocktails. We weren’t sure what to expect going on vacation during a pandemic but we were pleasantly surprised by how smoothly everything seemed to run. We ended up upgrading the day before to an Aqua club ocean front room and it was a beautiful room. I’m glad we did. Our biggest complaint was that the swim up bar was not open and they didn’t provide any music at the pool. When people tried to play their own, respectfully, they were asked to turn it off. We did have a couple issues with asking for food items that other guests had ordered and being told they weren’t available when we knew they were. But I will say everything at the resort was extremely clean. We really felt safe. They had the best view and beautiful pools and a very friendly staff. I think with everything considered, it was a great stay.

My stay at Live Aqua Cancun the last week of July 2020 for 7 days and 6 nights. The entire stay was amazing. First things first, for those concerned about traveling during COVID-19, rest assured that Live Aqua Cancun has security and health measures in place and protocols that are enforced. The staff remained in their PPE and cleaned meticulously all throughout the common areas. The restaurants and food were amazing. MB, Varenna, and Hidden Garden are all open for dinner by reservations that you can schedule in the lobby at the customer service desk. You can also easily schedule reservations by phone or at the restaurants a couple of nights or the night before. I highly recommend the Habenero Soup at MB as a favorite that the majority of folks will love. Another favorite is the Lasagna alla Bolognese and Ossobuco di Vitello (Veal w/ an oat risotto and Merlot glaze) at Varenna. At 5 o'clock in the evenings, the Sushi bar opens and has a nice selection of delicious sushi rolls on their menu. For Lunch, Azur, Jose's Grill, and Varenna are open without any reservations required. You also can order food directly at the pool and the team there will take great care of you. They definitely took care of us. My personal favorites for lunch were the hamburgers and hot dogs at Jose's Grill. A close second was the pool food, Baja Tacos, Wings, Quesadillas. The pizza at Veranna is also a favorite and the Medallion Steak at Azur is a must have. The options for Breakfast are Siete Restaurant. I started every morning with a large Green Juice, Watermelon Juice, and Fruit Plate. Have to put the healthy good stuff in early. Recommendations for the delicious, savory, and comfort food are Big Foot, Little Big Foot (smaller version), The American Breakfast/Omelet, and Chipotle Benedict. Also, the beans & cheese are so good! Last but not least, Room Service is 24 hours and they have a nice selection of meals and drinks available. We tried room service for late-night eats and breakfast at least once during our stay to enjoy the experience of it. The bars and the drinks; well it's an all-inclusive resort. They have it all, all you need to do is ask. For higher-end bottles of champagne or wine there is a reasonable upcharge fee. Our room was very clean. The beds were so comfy, the room is an aromatherapy experience. Now there are a few limitations due to COVID-19. The celebratory rice decorations are not allowed due to compliance with the local government protocols for the hotel to remain open to the public. The rooms are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before each guest is assigned to it. The housekeeping and turn down service are also accompanied by the sanitation crew. They spray down the floor and the common areas as a precaution and for the safety of their staff and the guest. This really set our mind at ease. The Pool. Social Distancing was in full effect. You may wonder how Live Aqua Cancun is able to accomplish this. I believe it is because due to local government regulations and compliance they are only allowed to book up to 30% capacity (at least during the time of my stay in late July 2020). With 371 available rooms that comes out to 111 rooms, multiplied by at least 2 couples per room and that's 222 guests with access to the 6 available pools (Swim-Up was closed at the time of my visit) and the beach. Between the available cabanas that are by reservation only. The available day beds and beach chairs that are all nicely spaced; you have room for absolutely everyone without crowding or invasion of space. Everyone was very respectful of the social distancing and space in and outside of the pool. The Feel Harmony Spa amenities are limited due to COVID-19 safety protocols. This is my second visit to Live Aqua and the Sensations Massage that I had was amazing in itself. I know the prices are reduced due to the limitations and the price was reasonable and well worth it for me. The Illusions Nail Salon. Now as a male, I can only speak to the pedicure I received that was amazing. Martha's attention to detail was superb. She had my feet looking nice and presentable. My traveling companion had the full on the nail polish, done on her pedicure and her feet looked very nice as well. Kudos to Martha. The entire staff and team at Live Aqua Cancun are amazing. I would like to express additional gratitude to Jimena C., Jonathan the Pool Manager, Marisol, Alan, Pedro, Caesar, and the rest of the team members at the pool. Kevin, and Sophie in Public Relations and Oscar. Also, the staff at the Spa and, Martha who gave me an amazing pedicure. Oh my God, this has been a memorable birthday/vacation. 7 days of pure enjoyment. Gracias and until next time. For more on my review see my full write up on the VF blog site.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Live from 7/26-7/30, and we didn’t want to come home! It was GREAT!! To put things into perspective, my husband and I have stayed at Le Blanc (can’t be beat!), Secrets the Vine, Hard Rock, and Beach Palace within the past 5 years, and I would rank Live second to Le Blanc but tied with Secrets. We stayed in the Aqua Suite on the 5th floor and also had the perks of the Aqua Club. Having the suite was really nice because we enjoyed the extra space and it was a beautifully laid out room with an oceanfront view. We also received a $50/nt credit that we used on spa and upgraded wine as well as daily use of a cabana or bed. That was a great perk since we were able to reserve in advance and not have to fight to try and get a good seat by the pool. As for the Aqua Club, we’re pretty self-sufficient, so having access to a concierge didn’t really make a difference to us. Furthermore, because of Covid, the food/snacks offered in the lounge are minimal, so we didn’t see a benefit with that. I’d be willing to try the Club in the future, but not during Covid. The pools were super nice!! The infinity pool was really nice, especially in the late afternoon when it was cooling down a little. Being able to look out at the turquoise ocean and experience the breeze coming off the water was delightful! The infinity pool is one thing Live has that Secrets does not. The number of people at the resort and by the pool was just right. Not so many that we felt crowded but enough to make it a fun experience. Because there weren’t so many guests, we were able to meet several other couples who we hung out with at the pool each day, so that was fun. One thing I do wish is that they had played some fun music by the pool. Since activities aren’t currently in full force, it’s a little quiet, at times. I’m not asking for wild and crazy, but a little liveliness can’t hurt. Here are a few more tidbits... Food: Being from Houston, we have GREAT food, so although others thought MB was excellent, I don’t think we’d go that far. It was good food with great service. Hidden Garden was very good (our favorite), and the atmosphere was really cool. Poolside food was good and definitely better than average for all-inclusive. Safety/Sanitation: Like most other reviews have said, the staff has gone over and above to provide a safe and sanitary environment. All wore both a face shield and mask, and they were constantly sanitizing. Felt 100% safe (probably even more so than at home)! Massage: Excellent and reasonably priced. Most of the other spa features, like soaking tub and steam room, were not available, but that wasn’t a big deal to me. Compared to Secrets the Vine: Secrets is a newer resort, so it’s a little more updated and “sparkly.” The food and service are both comparable. I liked the layout of the pools better at Live, but I liked the overall resort itself better at Secrets. We would happily return to either!
