Best entertainment crew ever , had a amazing time for my mother’s 70 Birthday. Amazing crew . All workers very happy and welcoming. Some food was ok , others was great like Marco Polo . The room was ok , but The view from our room was perfect. Room service was quick and really good . Thank you . Missing all the amazing entertainment thank you . And thank you for all the welcoming workers. Always ao happy and friendly .
We recently came back from our amazing family vacation to Mexico. We had so much fun in this resort. Our 1 year old had nice time at mini kids club. Thank you Leo and team for welcoming us in kids club. Leo was super helpful with the recommendations to go places and he was interested in our language i.e. Nepali. He even learned a nepali sentence so quick. Our son Ezekiel had so much fun there. Thank you!
The whole crew from the entertainment team just awesome, Gio, Chucho great kids amazing entertainers. Bartenders, waiters all just great. We hope to come back soon just because of this guys and girls that will make your stay a special one. Thanks guys!!!
Our stay at GR Solaris was amazing! Staff was super friendly and always accommodating to your needs. Our server Mainor was excellent and beyond attentive, he was friendly and asked us questions over our trip. Staff suggested activities to do and places to visit while here. The entertainment crew was also friendly, specifically Gio, Israel, Monty, Ruben, Chris and Chucho and super encouraging when it comes to playing games like water polo, volleyball, balloon fight and so much more. Thank you to everyone that made our stay feel welcoming!
The entertainment staff was awesome, especially Diego & sexy Alexis. I can’t wait to go back next summer and play bingo. The soup from Marco Polo slaps. Put queso and chili on the fries from the pool buffet.
I have been to several resorts throughout Mexico but I have to say the service at this resort is AMAZING!!! It started from the moment we checked in with Christian. We upgraded our rooms with ease and he answered all of our questions. Throughout our stay he made himself available to guide us. Even when he say in the lobby he took the time to bring us drinks and make sure we were well taken care. The entertainment staff was top notch. There were activities for literally everyone. They interacted with the patrons. They did so good at making you feel like they actually knew you. They remembered your name from day to day. The rooms were so…. Clean! I will be back to this resort and highly recommend it.

Horrible, horrible, horrible experience will never stay here again. I have stated at this hotel 3 times now, and with Solaris 4 times all together. It used to be so so much better. I am surprised that this hotel is still in business with how terrible the service, food and facilities are. Hotel has about 10 ft of beach space left as most of the beach has been washed away exposing rocks and deep water. You have to go to the neighboring hotel to swim. No shade or huts on the beach at all, they have all been taken down due to eroding beach. Hotel was run down and aged. Interior of the hotel felt musty. Elevators interior lights were out. All the doors coming inside the hotel common areas were horrible and not wheelchair accessible. I noticed too many elderly folks had a hard time walking through those doors as it was hard to open and walk through them. Hotel common area and pool furniture was old and breaking. PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE: We were there for 7 days and not a single employee asked about our stay. All they were trained to say was good morning, good evening. Everyone was so busy being a robot or on their phones. Staff looked tiered and worn down. Their uniforms were dingy looking and very presentable. Even at check out the front desk person didn't ask about our stay, they were more interested in getting their keys, wrist bands back. They promised us 2 t shirts as this was our 4th stay with Solaris but we never got that shirt. At check out we reminded them and they seemed confused what I was talking about and then all of a sudden without checking he said they didn't have any. We went on a few excursions and they asked us about our experience but hotel didn't care. No customer feedback needed here. FOOD: don't even know where to start with the food experience. It was terrible. All pork all the time. Breakfast, lunch and dinner 98% or all meat was pork. Any other meat that they had would either run out or would be so bad that my dog wouldn't even eat it. Meat was the cheapest meat the hotel could find. Most of the time the texture of the meat was so bad that it would feel like someone gurgitated the meat and put it on the buffet. Did I say all pork all the time. I can't say anything about that alcohol as we don't drink. I would like to say this that they were all very interested in offering us alcohol, may be if you are a drunk customer then you wouldn't notice the crappiness of the hotel. Tried out Marco Polo and the Zai, what a disappointment, food was bland and the meat was yucky. You couldn't even resort to eating fruits to fill yourself as most of the fruits like melons, cantaloupe, papaya, mangos had no taste. Only thing I can say is cheap and not ripe fruits. We met with few couples and they all brought up the food and how run down the hotel was, without us saying anything about it. Few of them even said that this hotel was a mistake. Morning coffee always had burnt flavor 7 days we were there. Food on the buffet was never labeled correctly. They didn't care about cross contamination of the food, even though they asked everytime you came to the restaurant if you had food allergies. PARTY ALL NIGHT at the neighboring hotel and you could hear everything all the way on the top floor. Sleepless nights as people were walking down the floors banging doors and running in the hallways. I should have known better to go stay at other hotels that I have tried in the past at Cancun. These other hotels had better service and better food for the same price. The only reason I didn't book there was because those hotels were sold out. Never ever would stay here again.…
This is our first-time vacationing in Cancun. We had a great experience, we were impressed with the cleanliness, the service and the attention from everyone in this hotel. A big thanks to Carlos and Hector at the buffet that were very nice and friendly all the time, and also Lizeth in the pool area always working hard to make everybody happy. If you want to have fun and a nice time this is the place to go. The daily pool activities, the evening shows and ending the day with live music at the Lobby Bar. Thank you, GR Solaris for a wonderful week vacation!
Wonderful. Loved the GR Solaris. Can’t swim right in front of the resort because of rocks. But walk right next door and you’re good. Would definitely recommend this resort to others. Would stay here again!
