Service is absolutely amazing. When we first arrived, we were immediately greeted by the GM, Octavio. He made sure to let us know that we can reach out with any needs we may have during our stay. The staff in general is just so good. Everyone is so friendly! The servers at breakfast remembered our usual order on day three! Apparently they staff four people per one guest!! I’d also like to especially mention Mel, who works at the beach activities section. When we first rented snorkels, he proactively reached out and see if we needed a guide - he swam with us and explained all different kinds of sea creatures that we saw. He also invited us out on Saturday morning (before his actual shift) to take us to see Musa by snorkel. Absolutely went above and beyond his usual duties. The quality of the food was quite a surprise, as usual resorts don’t have great food. We were blown away by the food here - everything is made fresh (including breakfast hot sauces). The grilled shrimp at La Punta is BEYOND. We were so happy with the food choices here that we did not leave the hotel during our stay here. And lastly, of course the ocean view + pool are both excellent. Unfortunately the main pool was closed during our stay, but we did not run out of places to explore regardless. Highly recommend for three nights plus. It’s the perfect destination for a long weekend trip, or a week long if you are a beach bum. We will definitely be back in the near future!

Visit this hotel for a special celebration and it couldn't be better! Place is very well designed and everywhere you look is beautiful. Stunning to say the least. Everybody was so kind and willing to assist, it felt genuine. They wanted us to have a great time. Food and drinks are amazing! Peruvian restaurant is to die for! Beach is super small but feels like you are in a pool. So tranquil, clean and seaweed free. I even saw some crabs and a little rays. The only thing I could say was not pleasant, is that we requested a late check-out so we had an extra couple of hours. We were lying on bed watching tv while the housekeeper came in unannounced. She didn't even knocked. Rapidly she was checking on her report sheets because either she wasn't informed or she missed that information. Anyways, we had to leave the place so it didn't bothered us. I hope I can go back soon!

We have been coming to Cancun for over a decade, once or twice a year-and this was our first time staying at Nizuc (we usually stay at the Ritz Carlton). WHAT A PLACE! The architecture and the space is like something out of a futuristic movie-beautiful reflecting pools, majestic dining and bar areas, and stunning accommodations. Abel, our butler, was very attentive and on top of it; he took notes in his little pad about what time we wanted our coffee delivered in the morning, when we should have our car ready, where and what time we would like to eat so he could make reservations. This is all part of the experience, and we would like to commend Abel for being so genuine and hospitable. This goes for the entire staff...they all clasp their heart and greet you every time you pass-and it's a lovely signature gesture unique to the resort which we will remember always. The rooms are spectacular. We stayed in a garden villa with its own private plunge pool, and it was luxury personified. Every detail was accounted for; comfortable bedding, beautiful spacious bathroom with standalone tub and indoor/outdoor shower. The air conditioning was perfect and powerful, necessary in Cancun at this time of year! The food was impeccable too; fresh fruit for the buffet breakfast and a la carte items like omelets, burritos and pancakes. The dinner was delicious too at the resort's signature formal restaurant. There are two large pools; the main one which is nearly 40m long and enough to do laps if you're a swimmer like me who's looking to exercise (just go in the morning before the families get there). A note about families: there is the main pool which allows children-and also another one nearby (but out of the way) for adults only. During our three days here, we didn't see many children at all-this may be due to the price of staying here? But the resort is spread out enough and the property has enough to do where you won't feel crowded or annoyed the way you might at other Cancun resorts overrun with large families and groups. It mostly seemed to be couples here. If there is one minor 'quibble,' it would be to address the beach area-which is shallow and full of sea grass. It is not the turquoise blue waters of Cancun that you may have seen in travel brochures. This is not a big deal-you can still swim and SUP and even snorkel offshore by the dock-but be aware that this shallow lagoon is not the typical 'beach with waves' you may be expecting. The plus side is that the shallow water is ALWAYS warm, and parents don't have to worry about kids drowning..it's 2-3 feet deep mostly. All in all, we would love to come back. It's not inexpensive, but the money you spend is evident everywhere-you really feel transported and the staff is just lovely all-around.

My husband and I came to Nizuc for our honeymoon. The hotel is beautiful and the food and spa are amazing. Our stay was great until our bathroom had a massive AC leak and the entire floor, couch and my Gucci bag that was laying on the couch were drenched. Seemed like it was raining in the bathroom. We called Hotel Management and it took them 45 minutes to send someone to our room. When we approached hotel management after the cleanup, we suggested they give us a new room. They didn’t even think to offer this themselves, we had to suggest it, which was kind of odd since it was a major inconvenience and took two hours of our morning. They agreed to give us a new room but The room they were suggesting was one Floor above ours and in the same building and we just didn’t think it made sense to go through the hassle of packing and moving to a room in the same faulty building. We told the manager if he can offer us something uand his first response was, “accidents happen and we cleaned the room up so I’m not sure what’s the problem.” When you’re spending $700 a night for a room, you shouldn’t be having these sort of issues. Were in the oceanview suite with the plunge pool and having the same issues you would face at a Motel 6 on some deserted highway. After some back and forth, the manager then offered us free breakfast and then a dinner but he made sure to tell us no alcohol would be covered. I hate to leave a terrible review because the staff has been so sweet and accommodating (maybe because we have generously tipped them for all their assistance) but the manager left us very unimpressed with the way he handled the situation. I know the hotel has been closed for sometime due to COVID, and it’s probably going to take some time before they get back up to speed, but I wish they could have been a bit more apologetic and courteous with a pretty substantial issue
