No hot water was probably the only con. The staff is really nice and most people were friendly. Most people only spoke Spanish so you'll learn Spanish. :) It's about a 20 minute bus ride from the beach and 20 minute Uber from the airport. There are a lot of extremely cheap

I was GRANDPAcking in Cancun on my way to Isla Mujeres. I stayed 3 nights so that I could have a quick look around. I just wanted somewhere cheap ... I chose the Mundo Maya. It is an easy 10 minute walk there from the ADO Bus Station. Well, you get what you pay for. This is what I got...

This place needs some attention, Firstly I was disappointed with my double room for the price, there were no sheets or pillow cases on the bed, the air conditioner was so noisy I couldn't use it, the over head fan was broken as was the light. The light in the hallway kept going on and off most of the night with...

We booked this "hotel" hoping... I don't really know what we were hoping for and what a chock this was. At first they couldn't find our reservation and finally when they did, we were given the wrong room which was below the class we had booked. When we got the correct room it was dirty. Dirt on the floor, dirt...

We got upgraded from a dormroom to a private room at once upon arrival, and for the same price (they sold more dormroom beds and therefore wanted to make more avaliable). That was...

Nothing fancy...definitely not fancy. BUT I think this is also the cheapest place to stay in Cancun. Everything everyone is saying is true. There are lots of bad and good. :) I've been in much nicer hostels and also I've been in worse. It is walking distance to anything downtown - quite a trek to the beach though. I strolled...

Stayed 2 nights at the end of my trip as I wanted a cheap private room before I flew out from cancun. The location is about 10 min walk to ado bus station. The staff working at reception didn't speak English but are nice enough. I know moderate Spanish so it was fine. The private room was very small and...

This is a nice hostel and what you expect from a local run hostel in Downtown Cancun, it was far cleaner than most of the hostels I had checked out, English was a challenge at times but to be expected, and the bedroom was cool and comfortable, although there were a few nights the owners dog kept us up but...
