I ended up at this Hotel by default The airplane had mechanical problems so all passengers were shuttled here courtesy of the airline and given dinner vouchers. Upon arrival..my first instinct told me not to expect much and i was right. The food was bland and the Hotel rooms even though clean were somewhat on the dark side.. My room had no window and was a bit small for the hotel furniture and myself. The positives of the hotel was its location, which was in walking distance of Supermarkets, Restaurants,Bars, Banks, Cadecas etc. Was glad i was only there one night.. Not my cup of tea but it was not the worst.
If you need a cheap place to leave your bags and change to take advantage of everything Cancun has to offer, stay here. The amenities are basic. Its a functional room in a great location, ADO's terminal is right around the corner so Mexico is at 'your doorstep'.
I will just say that my friend and I stayed here in October last year. It's a very basic hotel that does the job, and it's clean, pleasant, and quiet. In sum: it's a good place to stay and rest while you are preparing for your trip back home.
I had to stay there since there were no other options. I have to say that the hotel can do more to beauty a little bit the bedrooms. Mine was really depressing and dark. The service was not so good. The hotel staff really didn't try to help when you have something to ask them.
A local guy took us here it was great cheap drinks and food service was awesome and the locals were great its a bit out of the way but worth the trip I'd give it a try if you're near buy can't say much about the hotel but the restaurant was cool
Great location and there is parking. We are walking distance from hotels and parque. there is a grocery store next door. Hotel zone is 10min drive. parking is right behind the hotel. its a functional hotel everything works. only reason for 4 star. Our room was on 3rd floor and its a walk up which was a pain with kids.
I was there forNew Years and the rates were very high. The hotel is in the center of Cancun city and close to the bus to get to the beaches. the complimentary breakfast is very small. I had to go out a couple of hours later to eat again. ther is WiFi in the lobby. Hotel is very clean and front desk clerks very helpful.
HORRIBLE DO NOT BOOK!!! This place was so bad we checked out after 1 night and got a hotel that was 3 times more expensive just to get away from what felt like hell on earth, if you value a good experience in Cancun then STAY AWAY!!
I visited the hotel for the second time and still having very bad image, the street at night is very dark, it looks like a cheap motel, the bar at night gives a bad image. I went for work in the company of my wife, but I would not go with her again. The price is reasonable, but I found better options with just a little price increase. Although it saw best rooms on the first floor, the poor appearance of the hotel did not like me at all.
When we booked this place it was called Hostal Soberanis, but in the time between that and arriving it had clearly been under renovations, hence the name change to Hotel Soberanis. Despite the name, we paid what felt like Hostal prices for Hotel service. Our room had 2 Queen beds, air con, fan, tv, private bathroom, was cleaned daily and was amazing value for money. Breakfast was included, but given our poor Spanish we may have missed out on getting everything that we could have. The internet was high speed and reliable, and the staff were generally helpful, except for the evening receptionist, who was not at all helpful when we asked where the nearest laundry was. There was a lot of noise in the morning from workers cleaning the halls and doing renovations, and this was quite early too. The location is pretty good, right next to a huge supermarket, however there are not kitchen facilities so shopping options there are limited to snacks really. It is a bit of a walk to the nearsest beach, but a cheap cab ride, 50MXN, and the ADO bus terminal is a 10 min walk away. 10 mins walk to a huge shopping complex. I'm not sure if the prices have increased since our booking, but this was great value for money, away from the chaos down at the beaches.…
