I had the pleasure of staying here for 14 days during January of 2021. Although I ended up REALLY enjoying my stay, I have to comment that thinking it was a ‘5 star hotel’ as it is advertised to be online, I was disappointed to begin with… and to manage ones expectations… this is definitely not a 5 star hotel… the rooms are tired, old and limited while the food is really average, and albeit I had all inclusive, I only ate in the hotel a handful of times before I gave up and started going out for food. HOWEVER, the hotel’s saving grace is it’s wonderful staff… Although there were many things that went wrong and many frustrations (which I will highlight below), it was all made enjoyable and ok by their staff, most namely: Jessica - In the restaurants as the hostess… I would return to this hotel almost exclusively to see Jessica again! She was a total joy, lit up the room with her charm and friendliness… She is a truly fantastic ambassador for your hotel group… Jose Luis - At the Seek and Go counter, helped throughout my stay organising outings and generally creating a friendly and fantastic environment in the pool area. What a great guy! Shaneti - At reception, she managed to sort out various problems that occurred through my stay with a smile on her face always. Sophia - At the concierge desk, she couldn’t have been any more helpful and was stand out amongst all the concierge staff. Anahi and Johan - In the Spa were so friendly and helpful massively in booking massages and assisting in the gym. These staff members deserve so much praise as they were the main reason I didn’t leave and re book and move elsewhere… they were fun, helpful and really cared about the customers… Nothing was too much to ask from them… Also the other positives were, the beds are large and comfortable, as far as value for money goes, you are saving money compared to the other nicer hotels around you… and the massage therapists were phenomenal!! I had 6 massages in total and LOVED them all… The 80min Sandos Special is highly recommended. But on the other hand, there were so many things that detracted from the stay: My original room was truly dreadful. Much of it was old, broken and the wood actually rotting/crumbling, the tiny TV didn’t work but kept turning on through the night on static, I had to unplug it eventually… and the Phone didn’t work at all so I couldn’t call down for help, had to go down each time… Maintenance weren’t helpful at all. The duvet had rock hard balls in it, so had to get that changed (meaning another trip down stairs cause no phone!)… Was eventually re roomed 2 nights later. The room service was AWFUL… The few times I ordered, I waited so long, and after all the wait, each time it arrived, it was missing things or not how I had requested. It is the HARDEST thing in this hotel to get bottles of water… I called so many times asking for more water, even asking the reception, the concierge and room service. On one occasion, of an evening I really wanted to just have some cold water; I waited an hour for water to be brought to my room, and it wasn’t warm it arrived actually hot!!! The mini bar was never re stocked. Again even after asking at reception, concierge and the room service!! There seemed to be constant problems with the Wifi especially when outside. In the room I was moved to… the shower would never get properly hot, and the little bath wouldn’t run any cold at all… It took three days from when I requested to have this fixed for someone to come and fix it. Really frustratingly, they won’t serve food while you are around the pool… I really enjoy eating food by the pool in the sun, but you have to go to the poolside restaurant for food. The Service at this restaurant and it’s food choice is really bad. I had to, on the two times I ate there, I had to get up and go and find one of the waiting staff tottery and get served. Also to flag, the pool is cold and they loose sun light early due to the neighbouring hotel. Also, the trip ended with (I have forgotten his name, but the male receptionist with big round glasses) being incredibly rude and very unpleasant over a mistake that had been made by the hotel about a charge… It was actually really sad, as after 14 days to be spoken to like that over a $13 charge that they had forgotten to charge me at checkout was just such a pity and totally unnessasery… I left with a really unpleasant flavour… Anyway, to summarise, I would go back again in order to enjoy being around such wonderful staff and friendly people… but with the expectation of a 3 star hotel maximum… You will be disappointed if you think you are getting a 5 star holiday, cause you are certainly not. Just 5 star people and a 3 star hotel at best...…
Beach was beautiful. Rooms were a little out dated but nice and if any problems they accommodate or fix it right away. The staff at this resort was outstanding very attentive and always making sure all is well. Hats off to Flavio the bartender He was great always had a smile a nice hospitable and efficient man 👏👏. It would have been nice if they could have held more events in the evening and poolside but could have duel due to covid. All in all a nice vacation

Desde la llegada el servicio y el trato fueron excepcionales, la habitacion con la vista al mar increible todas las amenidades super completas incluyendo las piscinas, felicitaciones al equipo de animacion Oracio, Rodrigo, Angie y quiero mencionar a los meseros de st trop que fueron chantal, alex en la barra, capitanes como miguel y Lovera y Rafa. Quieor mencionar a Ale y a Ricardo en front desk.
