This resort looks beautiful inside and out. If you are looking for a budget friendly cancun stay that is all inclusive this is perfect. The room was clean had nice decor and great views on both Ocean and lagoon side. If you love shopping its a 10 min walk to the mall. The food was decent in the specialty restaurants but I personally liked the buffet and PEPE Grill the best. The beach is beautiful and very clean. The only thing this resort is missing is a disco bar. It was odd not being able to go to a bar on the resort saying this is an adult only resort so some nights ended sooner than we would have liked. But I would definitely recommend this resort for a relaxing do nothing beach getaway.

Checked in on opening day, how exciting! My wife and I were apprehensive about going to a resort on opening day but , so far so good. The hotel is beautiful and of course spotless. The staff are all RIU seasoned veterans from other RIU properties and everything is running smoothly. We just had dinner at the steakhouse and our steaks were awesome. All of the drinks are top shelf and top notch. We are being treated like royalty! Don’t hesitate to come and enjoy the RIU Palace Kukulkan!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff really keeps it clean. However, there is nothing to do all day except sit in the pool or on the beach. No entertainment around the pools, not even at night. It is very boring. A lot of the guests were also commenting on this. We were always accustomed to seeing Mariachi shows or the Mexican dancers. There was also one night when vendors would set up around the pools and sell different items. Not here. Not even a piano player or a band in the lounge. We were very surprised. And the entire place closes up before midnight. The best restaurant for dinner was Krystal. It's very small, but the food was very, very good. Best meal we had the entire time of our stay. In our opinion, there should be a dress code in the evening. A lot of us were sitting in the lounge before dinner having a drink when several women, who weren't exactly model size, came in wearing thong swimsuits and were very loud. I was shocked how they looked in such a fancy resort. The good part was that no one had to get dressed up for dinner. Men don't need to wear long pants and collared shirts and ladies can wear shorts and a nice top. But these women took it to another level. They could have worn a cover-up of some sort. We've been to Cancun at least 30 times and have never seen anything so shameful in any resort where we stayed. It really was more than we needed to see. Made the resort look really cheap, besides themselves. The breakfast in the buffet was good, but dinner, not so good. Also, don't bother to ask for water at the pool, they give you a small plastic cup, not a small bottle. Two sips and it's gone. So if it's hot, be aware. We were not offered a bottle of water anywhere, even though we asked. Also, bring your own floats. They give you pool noodles. No one was using them. The beds are pretty uncomfortable. The mattress was all springs and the pillows are so soft you can fold them in half. We did love the shower stall and the room itself was really nice. We had robes, but no slippers. And if you can figure out how to work the TV, good luck. We won't stay here anymore.

This resort is beautiful and the location is perfect. Right on the beach! Staff was great, very friendly. Japanese was the best of the ones we tried although all specialties were great. i would suggest adding another waiter at the main stage at night, drinks were a little slow coming to the table.

We had the best time at Riu. The service was phenomenal, amenities were plentiful and the resort was stunning. I wish we had extended our stay to a full week, it was the perfect mix of relaxing and fun.

My first time to the riu kukulkan, but not my first time to cancun. This was the best vacation I have had in my entire life. The resort was beautiful, beach was stunning, the service from the staff was something I could not even begin to imagine. From walking into the resort the front desk, all the severs and all staff around the facility they went above and beyond. The pool staff was amazing. Shout out to Armando and Centina they are the best bartenders I have ever met. They truly made this experience one of a life time. Drinks and food were great. Can't wait to book my next trip. Was gonna look at some other resorts, but my group is pretty set on returning to this just because of the staff.

We stayed a week at Riu Kukulkan and had a great time at this beachfront property. As others have mentioned, the property is beautiful and well maintained. The food and drink options are excellent, and one of the best all inclusive buffets we have experienced. We opted for the Elite upgrade, and really enjoyed the added perks and alcohol options. The staff was very friendly, accommodating, and helpful at all times. We especially enjoyed the upstairs bar overlooking the beach, and spent most evenings there sipping on cocktails from one of their great bartenders, Taco. Taco was extremely fun, friendly, and shared so many stories with us. He definitely was one of the most enjoyable parts of the trip. We have nothing but positive things to say about our stay, and look forward to going back again soon!

Would recommend, had tons of activities in-house if you wanted to just spend all your time at the resort. Most restaurants were pretty good, just have to try different things out to see what you like. Workers there work hard so tip them, trust me… they’ll appreciate it!
