As other reviewers have said, it's a little tricky to find by taxi but the airport taxi shuttle I prearranged by website had no trouble finding it at all. There are many taxi shuttles located in a proprietary area of the airport which is safe, honest and easy to navigate in English. Arriving at Mansion Giahn I was warmly welcomed. There's a small staff of people who had varies duties. Eduardo was my main contact as he spoke English well. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. In the morning there's breakfast in the communal kitchen and the staff cooked for all guests (at this time of the year (February), there weren't too many guests. Breakfast was a good opportunity to meet fellow travellers. This bed and breakfast appears to be an old mansion and it was interesting. The room I thought I had booked wasn't recommended as it was in the main building and the receptionist thought I would find it too noisy and busy as guests come and go. She then showed me other rooms in an attached auxiliary building and I found one that was suitable. This is a spot outside of anything touristy in Cancun and is probably an authentic Mexican experience - so, it is not luxurious by any stretch. However, there was air conditioning and they did keep the swimming pool clean and functioning. There are restaurants nearby (eg. Maple Cafe) and a village nearby with non-touristy shops. There is a city bus stop nearby for travel to Cancun's hub - the Mall Americanas. Excarat tour is not to be missed!

My wife and I stayed here for a night as we had an early flight out from Cancun Airport the next morning. As some others have pointed out, this is an old mansion that has been converted into a hotel by the family running it. It does feel a little unfinished. The room was clean and had a private bathroom and TV, and the hotel staff were nice enough to book an early cab for us and check us out before the sun had come up. Given we just needed somewhere cheap to stay for a night, this hotel did the job perfectly – although just note that not all taxi drivers are familiar with the hotel by name so you may need to give them the actual street address.

Nice Hotel, Cheap close to the airport. Its in a poorer area but I felt safe at hotel. I walked to the local store and no issues on trip. Upon arriving to check in Might want to know a little Spanish or bring travel itinerary for her to check. The Boy carried my bags to my room and was very nice! The Adult male speaks great English so im sure if any language barriers she would grab him. The pool is clean, Great place to stay if on budget or just passing through. Only Con, is the bed is a little hard. Advice would be to add a topper to it.

Nice establishment set in a poorer area but quite safe.Very welcoming! We walked out for dinner quite a way and felt quite secure.Basic but clean accommodation.Little shop just up the road if you've forgotten something basic Owner went out of his way to make the two of us a sumptuous breakfast, then gave us a free lift to the port [nice guy] Don't think he does this for everyone but he was going there anyway that day. Great little pool just what you need after along flight Recommend ?- Yes but not if you want 5 star
