Francisco was an excellent waiter at Auma . Although most of the staff was great he stood out the most for my family and truly went above and beyond with his knowledge and friendliness! He was super kind to my daughter as well who was hoping to practice her Spanish while away.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at the Hilton Cancun. The doors and drinks were good. The best service was by Mateo at the Vela buffet. He was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us drink recommendations. We were celebrating two birthdays and he made sure the make them special with birthday cakes. Thank you Mateo!

The resorts in Mexico are well known for the incredible service. This hotel was by far the worst "resort" I have ever stayed at. We encountered many problems during our stay and therefore had to reach out to staff numerous times. No staff member was friendly or even willing to help. We booked 2 rooms next to each other with pools. They did not put us next to each other and said "sorry, we're at capacity" as if I didn't book and request the two rooms 7 months ahead of time. Zero effort to accommodate our request before our arrival or after. Not a huge deal but then it just got worse from there. Upon check-in, we were told to download an app to book dinner reservations. We were able to get reservations for 1 night out of the 4 nights of our stay. Keep in mind, we were flexible with restaurants, there was only ONE night at ONE restaurant that we could get reservations for. "All-Inclusive" doesn't count if you can't get in to the legitimate restaurants. We reached out to the concierge who said we could eat at the sub-par reservation-free buffet every night and that the dinner reservations "were not guaranteed." While I understand that, it's ridiculous to have only 1/4 nights available for reservations when you advertise so many "amazing restaurants." If your restaurants can't handle your full capacity then you have serious hospitality issues, especially considering there isn't even anywhere else to eat in walking distance or requiring at 15 min taxi ride. Here's the kicker... The person helping me then said, "I don't know, you can talk to a manager if you want." And I said ok thanks where're the manager and he proceeded to point and said "over there" literally just pointing to the door to exit his room. Pathetic. Next, the lock on the door to our balcony did not lock properly and because it didn't lock, the system assumed the door was open and the air conditioning would not work. We called maintenance to come fix it and they seem to have just fidgeted with the door to get it to close (but not lock) so the air would turn on. After we made the mistake of opening our balcony again to access the pool which we paid extra for, the door wouldn't close again. We had to fidget with it to get it to close so the air would come on, and then we never went on the balcony again. So maintenance did not fix anything and our room remained unlocked for anyone to enter through the balcony if they tried, and our room faced the main road. The pool that we paid extra for to have in our room was only like 2/3 full and therefore it went to hip height for an adult. Why can't you fill the pool to a normal level? Later, we were looking for a representative for an excursion company who has a station at the hotel. We walked that way and couldn't find them and had to quite literally chase down a staff member to ask where we could find them. The staff member saw us looking lost and about to ask a question and he turned around and tried to speed walk away. We had a question one time for someone at the tour desk and he was equally as unhelpful, stating that the ONLY transportation the hotel provides for excursions, is through private taxi. And we had a fluent Spanish speaker in our group to clarify, so this was no misunderstanding. He so badly did not want to help us that he made up a bizarre lie that the tour desk at a hotel does not arrange for shuttle transportation for excursions, only taxis. Pathetic, again. One day for lunch we went to a restaurant and there were only seats in direct sunlight at 12:30pm. There was 16/16 open seats at the bar at this restaurant and we asked if we could sit there. They said, "no the bar is for drinks only." I understand the bar is for drinks but kinda crazy for them to not allow us to sit there to eat when it's wide open with plenty of open seats even after we sat down. So we baked in direct sunlight while eating our lunch instead. One of the best parts is when we went to the deli counter to get a sandwich and waited over 30 minutes. Mind you, it's supposed to be a quick-service counter type of place. After 30 minutes we got the sandwich and went back to the room just to open it and find BREAD WITH NO SANDWICH. Hard to believe, I know, so see the photo for evidence. Finally, the cherry on top - we got COVID from this resort! They had zero precautions put in place and packed everyone in like sardines everywhere from the lobby to the pool to the halls. No masks or hand sanitizer in sight. We tried to speak with a manager or someone with authority throughout the stay and they sent us around and around with no actual help. On the final day the Spanish speaker in our group ran into a woman in a suit who asked how the stay was and they actually spoke about all of the above. She was the first person to be apologetic about our horrific experience here and offered us to come back with an upgraded room. We appreciated the offer, however the stay was so miserable that I would not return if they paid me. Horrible place to stay. Don't come here unless you want to be treated like trash and eat at a subpar buffet every night and also get COVID. Save your time and money. Go to Garza Blanca down the road. Same price, A WORLD of a difference in experience.

Just got back from visiting the Hilton Cancun All Inclusive. The experience was great from start to finish. All the staff was very help. Our family particularly enjoyed the activities with the entertainment staff. A special call out to Diego, Alex, Leon, and Kayla. Our family loved playing pool volleyball and bingo together. Looking forward to our next trip. We will definitely come back!

We are currently staying here and I feel my vacation is completely spoiled. We traveled to celebrate my wife’s birthday. First even though I booked and paid for high floor, I was given 4th floor. They say they have 12 gastronomic experiences but be ware that you are either going to be eating a mediocre buffet or average asian food or room service. I am here for 4 nights and was told that the three of the best restaurants requires reservations during the check-in. I immediately went to the reservation desk and was told there is nothing available for 3 out of 4 nights!! Wow!! I insisted that it’s my wife’s birthday to atleast let me book something for Saturday night and they asked me to book a private dinner that costs $400!! So it’s all inclusive but with just a buffer, asian restaurant and a room service. BEWARE!!! There are so many other issues because they take more guests then they can manage like room cleaning, delayed delivery of room service, crowded bars but fact that you can’t eat in most of restaurant’s tops!! It’s so crowded that you will feel like you are staying in a damn mall!

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Hilton Cancun and we had an absolutely wonderful time! Looking at some of the other reviews it seems as though we went to a different hotel. Yes, it was busy at times but it's a big hotel and the staff (who are all wonderful) managed the busy times really well. The poolside servers were great, working hard on very hot days (Veronica and Ariana were both lovely). We had 2 adjoining rooms and that worked really well for us as a big family. The hotel was very clean and we really appreciated this. We thought the food was excellent - lots of choice and many options from basic to fancy, kids and adults alike. The pool has got a few small tiles coming off but this didn't impact us - only to stop the children collecting them! It's a shame about the seaweed on the beach and in the sea, but it's nature so they can't really do much but there were regular tractors to clear it as much as possible. We still went in the sea, as did others and it was lovely and warm. We felt so looked after here we didn't need to escape the hotel and do numerous excursions but there are opportunities if you want to explore further afield. The entertainment team are absolutely exceptional - We can genuinely say that Leon, Fer, Diego and Jesus made our stay. They are so dedicated to their roles, they are so much FUN and so inclusive without being pushy. We really do think that they are fantastic! For us, Mexico was wonderful and we truly have to thank the entertainment team for making out stay - we miss them so much already!!

I suppose if a drank alcohol or if I were a kid the review might be better… we stayed for 5 nights and our most memorable experience was outside the hotel at one of the Cenotes. Givens the volumes of people they cater to, the food was ok, but you have to seek out the better options and that took some time to figure out. The room was accommodating and comfortable but being in front of the pool their was noise and smells from the grill stations right in front. The fresh fruit was great, and so was the spinach salad with goat cheese and berries in the cafe near reception. At lunch outside they did bone marrow and tacos, those were both excellent. During breakfast fresh tortillas were my favorite with pumpkins flowers and mushrooms. We never made it to the gym so I cannot comment on that. They have varied pool accommodations but charge an extra fee for reserved locations. I found that a bit odd. And also wasn’t crazy that they wanted to charge extra for a Perrier when all the alcohols were free. As a non alcoholic that was not so great. There was no recycling and it is desperately needed. One of the colleagues part of the location was the turtles nesting on the beach right nearby. We were invited to the project at Moon Palace because I knew the marine biologist in charge. We saw 6 green turtles coming up to nest in the short 1.2 km walk between the hotels. That was impressive. Hilton had its own nursery for turtles but was not very inviting.
