This was our first time in Cancun and the experience was phenomenal. The location is safe which is number one for me. First off, I would like to say that the service from the front to the back was awesome. All the staff here at Marriott Cancun knows how to treat the visitors. They all welcome us with open arms and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Our room was spotless. No complaint. If you want to get delicious Mexican food with a great view, highly recommend Sacobe. Everything there was tasty and my favorite is the tacos with beef flank and the mango with chamoy Daiquiri. Our waiter Froilan was phenomenal and always checked up on us and was very friendly. He is a hard worker and is respectful. He provided top service and went above and beyond to take care of us. We will recommend this place to our friends and family for sure. Thank you for everything!…
My stay at this resort is always pleasant. The resort is clean and the resturants are great. I really like the Polynesian resturant. The resort doesn't charge for pool chairs which is also a plus. It's connected to the J.W so you can take the bridge over and partake in their amenities as well. Oh last but least it's located across the street from so really good resturants too.
As soon as we walked in to this grand lobby we were thoroughly impressed. With stunning views, polished marbles and very tall ceilings, the lobby was an impressive sight. Experience at check in was very pleasant. The bellman was extremely hospitable and informative. Food and drinks at various outlets were impressive as well. The suites were designed with style and class, views of the ocean from everywhere in the rooms. We must have encountered 50 staff members during our stay, they were all courteous, pleasant and helpful. We had access the the outlets and amenities at the JW Marriott, which made our stay at the Marriott Cancun Resort even more enjoyable. We will absolutely recommend this resort to anyone who is considering Cancun and will definitely visit very soon!
We had a wonderful week with Javier in our beach Cabana. It was such a fantastic cabana with enough bed space and shade for 10 people! Javier was so kind and accommodating. Always very helpful and attentive. Definitely recommend the cabana experience.
Beautiful structure, well situated, quite, modern amenities, excellent staff [from doorman, check-in counter, luggage-handlers, room attendants [Diana], room service. Tasty restaurants such as Hana Polynesian [breakfast & dinner]. 750 Degrees for fast & easy beverage, food, desserts, gifts [Daisy is superb in service]. Pools were super-clean. The beach with Sachbe Beach Shack provided the awesome beach service - drinks, sunbrella & the perfect location [while tanning]. This is our 2nd trip to Cancun and will be back.
After spending more than 2500 usd in 4 nights in July 2022, they didn’t allow us to use the showers next to the gym in the last day of our stay after checkout. Definitely we are not returning to this hotel. Location is good, service in general is fine but food prices are definitely expensive.

We had excellent service on our recent visit to Marott hotel in Cancun. Everyone was very nice. One waitress stood out. Her name was Anna who worked at champions sports bar. That’s just out side of our hotel. Anna would go out of her way to ask how our excursions went and if we needed any thing just to ask. Thank you Anna
My wife and I stayed there for our honeymoon and it was amazing! They have a lot of options inside and outside of the hotel. Great hospitality and service!! We highly recommend going there for any type of stay!
Just returned from a four day stay at the Marriott Beach hotel. I have to say kudos to the management for outstanding service, resort cleanliness, and overall resort experience. From the moment you walk in, fresh, clean, grounds are well manicured; rooms are spotless with super cold AC. Every employee encountered was very polite, respectful, and always wearing a mask to improve your safety. The staff was friendly and always to greet you. When you check out the front desk and also the bellman leaves you with a sincere smile and “when will you come back to visit us” departure. For others considering booking, just do it, you won’t regret it. We did our research as you are and encountered nothing but excellent experience. We booked through the Costco package for a couple in July 2022. Adults mainly, few families, no loud parties poolside. 1. The check-in experience was smooth and quick…we were surprised with a courtesy upgrade to partial beach view. Check-out, no issues with billings portfolio and clearly understood. The $50 day hotel credit was aggregated in total, and not daily as a previous review noted. 2. Room condition. Very clean, no issues. The room was cleaned daily with fresh water bottles. Also a late ~ 9pm turndown service. There is an in-room safe and snack bar that is $extra if used items. 3. Pool, is the place where the majority hang out. There are plenty of recliner chairs under the large straw-shaded covering. I did not see an issue with many folks reserving chairs, but they will fill up near 11am. 4. Beach condition. As noted the Sargassum (brown type of seaweed) is washing ashore daily and tractors come by often to rake the weed into the sand. This is really not a big deal as at times you can still swim without issue, just need to monitor. The issue though is the beach has limited shade chairs and options, so the majority simply stay at the pool. 5. Restaurants. Many to choose from, really great quality. We followed others' views and tried the sports bar on the first night, then Hana Polynesian Grill. Heard great things about Thai, Japanese, and others, just not enough time. 6. Safety. You do feel very safe at the resort. From seeing the (national) police checkpoint into the hotel zone to the daily police rides on beach ATVs. A visible presence and deterrence. There are numerous security cameras on the beach. There is the usual local beach sellers of hats/jewelry/cigars approach as your on you beach chair, they are respectful and walk away if you wave them off The only negative\ improvement suggestion is the daily pool beach DJ playing a bit loud and having to hear all day from noon – 6pm. A bit lower volume would be helpful vs. folk music boom, boom, boom all day as you are trying to relax with waves reading a book. Of course we could move far away but shade options are limited to near the DJ. Tips & Recommendations 1. Each Friday 6-9pm, attend the Reggae jive band on the beach. The special beach dinner is street tacos 3 for $12. Excellent and great deal! 2. A must, walk across the street for sunset dinner at Fred’s seafood. The grilled fresh fish of the day (~grouper) was amazing with the chili sauce. Expect $100 for a couple for appetizer, wine, entrees, and dessert. Visit the resort concierge to set up your RSVP. Appetizers are amazing. Sunsets are only over the lagoon side. Bonus is to see the feeding of a 15 foot alligator that comes each evening for scraps. 3. You are allowed to walk over to the JW Marriott resort next door for their restaurants and shopping. You just can’t use their pool as only JW guests. There is a path-way from the lobby in the AC area so you do not have to use the beach or street to access. 4. Coffee. There is a coffee maker in the room taking the Café Britt (Mexico) pre-filled paper fillers. The same coffee is in the coffee-bar in the gift-shop. For the coffee snobs that like strong coffee with a caffeine kick (think Starbucks), I recommend to bring your own packets if possible or even pack your own small Keurig if you can. I just found the resort coffee weak, generic, weak and not strong enough. 5. Water bottles are free in the room (maybe 4 a day), make sure you tip your room housekeeping! Else you can $buy water in the gift shop or restaurants. We had no issues with ice-water from restaurants as trusted Marriott filtration services. 6. Your room fridge can hold 3 bottles of wine or 6-pack of beer. You only get half of the fridge as the other side is $paid extras if you choose them. 7. One night, just get the $5 hot pizza by the slice from the gift shop and sit on the beach with your adult beverage. It takes a lot to prepare for nice resort dinners each night.. Reservations and exact times. Just take a night off and R&R to beach waves on your schedule. 8. Highly recommended, we did not see this until the last day. Rent the private beach side huts (there are only 3 of them). The cost for a full day is $120 (villa only) or $200 (adds many other extras, drinks). Call the resort ahead of time to book else upon arrival. Why do this? Splurge and enjoy super comfy chairs, covered huts with a large leather bed, the cool sounds of waves crashing and away from all the noise. You get VIP treatment with food/ drink services as they come often. The big plus is away from the noise (DJ issue above comment) and having continuous R&R with relaxing waves crashing. Tips from a ~ frugal traveler 1. Bring a few of your own bottles of favorite wine, rum, ~ mojito mix in your checked luggage! Mexico allows (5) liters PER PERSON if it is in unopened retail packaging. We just did not like any wine options at the resort or Mexico in general, not to mention the resort $cost. At the resort, a glass of wine is ~$15 and mixed drinks are ~$12-15. At the gift shop a bottle of Titos vodka is $60 for a liter. We still bought resort drinks at dinner or the pool bar… we really just enjoyed having our favorite wine and rum mojitos on the room balcony or late evening sunset beach walk. If buying all at a resort $450 vs. ~ $60 if brought. Still ensure you TIP well on all services!!! 2. Beer cans across the street at the convenience store is appx. $5 a six-pack (less than a dollar a beer!), whereas resort is $4.50 per beer. Many Mexican local beers to choose from and the usual Ultra, etc. Again, just nice having a six-pack in your room on ice for when you want. Not to mention bring a Yeti cup for beach chill. 3. Across the street, there is a McDonalds easy walk (don’t open for breakfast until 10:30am!). The resort has nice beach view buffets, the McD is a great change for one day. There is a pharmacy next to McDs and a convenience store to get items if desired. The above frugal tips is to only supplement suggestions, still use the resort features and tipping the servers well. Having your own drinks is nicer to have on your terms… wine you like and beer cold and ready to your terms. Enjoy your trip !…
