We had a blast! My Brother got married on the property and it was a beautiful ceremony and reception. We spent some time before and after the wedding and the staff was great! We got treated VIP the entire time we’ve been here. I suggest upgrading your room to a mini pool preferred club upgrade. We brought our kid with us and It was nice to have a place to go and relax and swim after the pools closed down. I have to say that one of the staff members GERRY always went above and beyond and took care of my entire group of friends and family while we were here. He also made sure that other staff was trained and mentored on how to treat guests with the upmost hospitality. Love the people here. We had a gray time!!

I had a wonderful experience staying with Now Emerald. The staff went above and beyond making our trip unforgettable, especially Esteban who we intentionally got as our server each day. He was kind, fun, and courteous… and worked hard to meet any requests that we had. Highly recommend!

We booked this hotel 3 months ago and started reading the reviews and totally panicked. Tried to get a refund and/or move to a different hotel because the reviews are horrible to say the least.. but we had no luck. In retrospect I’m so glad we did read them because we were pleasantly surprised. I’ll clear things up… For starters the hotel is run down… but the view is gorgeous and just try and make the best of it. People go out of their way to make you comfortable. EVERYTHING said about getting pool chairs is right on. They should not let people hold chairs EVER. Our solution… move the towels and have a seat. The workers put rolled up towels on the chairs and try and get you to pay for them thinking they belong to someone. Just move the towels and lay down.. worked for us. The pools were clean (but old) and there was always someone around to get you a drink. Bathrooms are definitely a problem by the pool so get a chair by an entrance. There were stairs but so what… it was good exercise and not as bad as people made it out to be. The buffet food was good.. something there for everyone and the service was always good. We did have to wait awhile to get in the main dining rooms but once we did get the meals they were great. Portions are small… just order A LOT! Bring a few drinks with you and just plan on slow dining and RELAX. The maid service was great… room was cleaned every day and always there if you needed extra anything. We had a mini bar in our room and it was always restocked with beer, water and pop. Room service was great… took a bit to get but not bad … great for late night snacking with drinks. Do some research before you go on the excursions. The bus drivers drive like nascar drivers so just make sure you don’t have to spend the day driving with them to get to your excursion. There were a lot of bad reviews about the rooms and most of it may be true but we were able to get everything fixed the minute we asked. We had three rooms… one was missing chairs… one missing a blow dryer and another an iron. They got what we needed immediately. One day we had ants in our bed… millions of baby ants… and they came immediately and cleaned and changed all the bedding. You just have to make the best of it and not let the little things ruin your trip. Would I stay there again? Probably not… but they are redoing the place so you can’t expect much. The amenities are good and great access to the beach. DO NOT BE DECEIVED BY THE PICTURES OF ROOM!!! Our daughter got married at the facility. We tried to keep the condition of room to ourselves to keep her in happy mode for wedding. When she shared conditions of her room I let it out! We paid an EXTRA $200 per NIGHT to get a room with jacuzzi outside because it was our 30th wedding anniversary in two weeks. Well the jacuzzi was empty and it was like pouring water from a cup to fill. WE NEVER used it because it was FILTHY will post pictures!! They sent someone three times never resolved. They finally decided to move us the DAY of the wedding and we were leaving the next morning we declined for two reasons our daughter’s room had major issues and it was the day of wedding. They played games saying report to the company we paid which is their company that accepted our online payment. The company said get it in writing because they say things to keep you quiet but never follow through. They REALLY NEED TO CLOSE THE ROOMS AND USE THE Amenities to make money and GUT OUT EVERY ROOM. If you are used to paying five star prices and getting two stars rooms this is the place for you. The covers was soiled and dingy! The towels and sheets were dingy I went and bought face towels. They put alcohol, sodas and cheap snacks in your room hoping you overlook the room. We did when we arrived but the next morning reality hit! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! …

Jose the bartender at the pool phenomenal!!! And Carlos the bartender in preferred outstanding!!! Both would remember the drinks we enjoyed and treated us wonderfully! Those two definitely made the trip and Now Emerald are very lucky to have them! As for the rooms sub par.. they try really hard to sell you into upgrading when you get there. Be careful….Sadly check in isn’t until 3pm and Make sure to check out the room prior to accepting it some need a lot of work/dirty.

This hotel has amazing views of the beach and by the pool! Our poolside waiter was Esteban and he did a phenomenal job getting us drinks and taking the empty ones away, he always checked in to make sure we were okay and if we needed anything else and was always kind. The entertainment team George, Alejandra, Marcos etc. did an amazing job with providing activities for us to do, from aqua fit every morning, beach volleyball, karaoke etc. it was never a dull moment with them. Food was very delicious as well, we ate at all restaurants and some were for sure better than others, the fancier places had a long wait time (as we were a group of 10) and you had to be there right away to get a table, but the quality of food was worth the wait. Only complaint I have were the rooms, they were for sure outdated and we had to call twice for our room to be cleaned, in our room particularly the phone didn’t work and we had no remote so we unplugged the tv. Both issues were resolved when we went to the front desk and maintenance was sent in. Overall experience was a 4/5 and would come back in a heartbeat.…

We had a wonderful stay at the Now Emerald. Staff were great and very helpful. One stood out in particular and was pretty outstanding was ERIK! He always had a warm smile and was always willing to help. Thank you Erik :-) We most definitely will recommend this hotel to our families and friends.

Guys do yourself a favor and book yourself somewhere else. This hotel is a bottle close down and they will be renovating it so everyone in the hotel doesn’t give a damn about anything. The rooms are disgusting found roaches in the bathroom and the food is Meh . The elevators don’t work you can’t take the stairs. The rooms are full of mold, had to be switched to another room. It was not a great experience. Come to find out they’re about to close the hotel and remodel which is great but not great for the people currently booking a crappy underwhelming hotel.
