We spent five days at the hotel, and it was incredible! The staff was excellent and helpful throughout our stay. Everybody respected social distance and wore masks. The hotel was sanitized all day long. Above all, the food in all restaurants was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They accommodate all of our requests in the best possible way. Kudos to Ivette and Evy (the F&B director) for making this trip so very special! On a special note, we had to endure a (mild) hurricane while at the hotel. I cannot express my gratitude to the hotel staff for keeping us safe and well-fed during this event. I highly recommend staying at the Krystal Grand Cancun!

Arrival and check-in was easy. Lobby and dining area was clean. Our room- not what we expected. Very dark, beds were comfortable but not as nice looking as the photos shown. Dining staff were friendly, some observant- some not. There’s a lot of miscommunication at this hotel. The valet/bell boys will tell you one thing, reception will tell you another, managers were tell you something else. All and all- good food, nice views, not five star.

My trip was originally canceled due to COVID and I rebooked for Sept 26-Oct 3. I was disappointed to find that only one restaurant per night was available for dinner and you needed to make reservations. After my initial disappointment, the staff could not have been more accommodating. They were always pleasant and helpful. A few that stand out were Lidia at the front desk, Ernesto the restaurant manager (I believe)made a special anniversary dinner for my husband Mitch and I on a balcony overlooking the pool, Alejo at the pool bar (he would find us each day even on the beach to take care of us and Pedro was our dinner waiter most of the time. They absolutely nailed how you should treat your guests. If you want a night life, this is not the place for you. There is no real "beach bar" something outside to enjoy the views while sitting. This is more like a relax and sit on the beach and eat kind of place. The ocean view here was amazingly beautiful! My advice to any would be travelers in general to Mexico, is to take many 1's, 5's and 10's if you tip (even though it is included in the price of the all inclusive) I always tip everyone no matter what. We also enjoyed our trip to Isla Mujeres it was fun and if I was a bit younger would have stopped at all the little dive bars and restaurants on my around the island on the golf cart and end at the beautiful beach at the North end.

I would not recommend staying at this property. The lobby is very nice but it all went downhill when I got to my room and realized (much like other guests I met during my stay) the property has two different buildings and services provided are not the same. It appears most of the glowing reviews on this property are about the Altitude tower, while the other is sub-par at best. Please note no one informs you of difference until you bring it to their attention. I booked back in June and some policy changes were made effective at the start of September of which they failed to inform me. The room was very dated, had a slight odor, the entertainment was non-existent and the food was terrible (also it was operating under limited hours of operation). The staff was also not very accommodating, essentially only providing an option to pay an additional $90/ night to move to altitude, which is what I already thought I'd paid for. From the beach the other tower is rundown and an eye sore. I would suggest you find another place to stay because this is not IT.

Awesome week at this hotel! Beautiful location, professional and very friendly staff. Our server Pedro was the best! We got treated like royalty. Will definitely go back! Highly recommend for families with kids. Oh, and the food was great! Our son has lots of food allergies and staff made sure that his food was not contaminated with anything he was allergic to.
