I mean you have your own butler on speed dial! We had nightly baths drawn with champagne, great food, over the top drinks and excellent service. Albeit at the pool, Hugo and Santiago our butlers and Jeanette at the beach pool. So rested and reconnected.

My wife and I returned to Le Blanc for our annual anniversary getaway. The resort did an amazing job managing COVID concerns. We wore masks at the breakfast and lunch buffets and had our temperatures taken before entering the spa. However, we were able to walk around the resort mask-free. We spent most of our time on the beach anyways and want to say a special thank you to the guys on the beach who made our time special. Carlos and Henry took care of us every morning, getting our spot ready for us with towels, water and an umbrella. The beach service was great thanks to Raphael, Victor Hugo, and Cristian. During our stay, there was a strong rip current in one section of the beach. Always watchful, the lifeguard Hernando kept people from swimming this area. I would see Hernando swim the water to check where it is safe for the guests! In the mornings, we would take “first breakfast” by the pool. Every morning, the first server I would see was Elias at the lobby bar. His smile and positive energy lifted me up every morning! He would get us coffee and chocolate croissants. “Second breakfast” is a couple hours later. Many thanks to Erick and David for taking care of us! “Elevensies” were taken at the pool bar in the form of liquid sustenance. This year, Enrique’s bartending talent really stood out. Thanks for the Painkillers! The evenings at Le Blanc are what you make of them. For us, we delight in taking in the live music in the lobby bar. Jair, our server, would remember what we wanted and come to us asking if we are ready for our double-espressos and beers. This is one of the details that makes Le Blanc so special. In terms of food, the Japanese and Terraza were our favorites this year. However, the service provided by Manuel at the Italian is always one of the best nights of our trip. We were also very impressed with the service provided by Belamar at the Terraza who has a great sense of humor! We highly recommend going to see the live band, Rock Legends, who plays a wide range of classic rock and 80s and the Michael Jackson impersonator is the best we have ever seen. We both went to the spa several times and highly recommend Letitia and Maria del Carmen. If you like deep tissue, Maria will make a big man cry! We switched rooms during our stay so we had four amazing butlers who unpacked our bags, got us aromatherapy, special pillows, special soaps, dinner reservations. Many thanks to Cesar, Marco, Antonio and Rene. Rene would even come out to the beach to ask if we needed anything that day! Amazing! We have been to Le Blanc many times and built friendships with many of the staff over the years. While we aren’t always on their floor or in their serving area, connecting with them and seeing them again makes Le Blanc feel like an extension of home for us. Thank you to Israel, Lucinda, Jorge, Laura, Chris and Jeannette. Your love and kindness bring us back year over year.

This is my favorite hotel, so why didn’t I give it top rank? You’ll have to keep reading to find out. You know how some hotels claim to feel like home? Well after our first visit to Le Blanc, we truly feel like we’re coming home each time we stay here. But, a better home, where they really take care of you, and you just sit back and enjoy the incredible views. The staff here are just amazing, and I will get to thanking some of them personally at the end of the review. But, please if you come here, and you do get exceptional service, tip them. It certainly is not required, but it is very much appreciated and it’s just the right thing to do. Believe me, it’s truly deserved here, you won’t be tipping out of obligation. We eat a plant based (vegan) diet and we never have a problem here. All the restaurants are wonderful. It’s just a matter of deciding where you want to eat each night. And you don’t have to be limited by the menu, if there’s anything you want (within reason) that you don’t see, just ask and they can probably have it for you the next day. Although there are a few limited selections that are already plant based, by the second day we are ready for something new, and just look at the other dishes and piece together something we think that they can do with relative ease. It’s always amazing what they bring us. And they also like to surprise you with their own creations, which is another reason the service is above and beyond. The butler service is also a treat that you get used to rather quickly. Want a different scent in your room, or a different pillow, or a restaurant reservation, or a bath drawn for you? Well they do it all and then some. Spa is in their title (Le Blanc Spa Resort) so you expect it to be top notch, and for the most part it is. The hydro therapy section is fantastic and the spa is beautiful. The service is great too. However, I feel that a five diamond resort should provide you with a gender choice for a massage therapist, and they used to years ago. But somewhere along the way they went to an all female staff of therapists. That is probably fine and even preferred for the majority of you, but I’m just more comfortable with a male doctor and a male massage therapist and I think at a high end spa resort it should be an option. Also the services are greatly overpriced because they expect you’ll be using resort credits where you only pay 16% of the cost. But resort credits are not always available to everyone and are limited in the spa. I can book a less expensive massage at a high end hotel in Beverly Hills, which is in contrast to most things in Mexico being so much cheaper than the US. Although it’s all inclusive, there are some things you might bill to your room, like a tip, or something from the gift shop. The other less than perfect experience we had was at checkout. I tried viewing our charges on the television periodically, but that didn’t work. I called the front desk at one point and they told me what our total charges were so far and it sounded in the right ballpark. However when I checked out there was a transportation charge on my bill that was not authorized. I told them, but they would not remove it and said it had to be investigated. Well I’ve given them a month now to do so and a couple follow up emails and still nothing. It wasn’t even a lot of money, it’s just the principle of it. The light controls in the room need some work. You are unable to turn on the light in the water closet in the middle of the night without also turning on extra lights that may wake up light sleepers. Another thing I wish they had was non-smoking sections outside. Just when you get settled into your beach chair, someone undoubtedly lights up a cigarette or cigar and the smoke finds it way directly to you. So, as I mentioned before, one of our favorite things about Le Blanc is the over the top service they provide. Here are a few of the folks who go above and beyond: Herman in Yama (Asian restaurant) is our favorite waiter. Other wait staff that deserve a shoutout are Carlos, Lorenzo, Denis, Francisco and Juan. We have to give kudos to all the chefs who prepared special meals for us. Rene, Carlos, and Jonathan. Viridiana (Manager in Blanc) was also wonderful and made sure we were well taken care of. Our butlers Santiago and Hugo were great as was Marco who wasn’t even our butler this time but remembered us from our previous visit and kept making sure we were okay. Elias at Blanc Lobby bar is so friendly and makes an excellent cocktail. Cristian and Carlos provided excellent service at the beach.

It doesn't get better than this place. The service was exceptional, especially during the pandemic. Everyone was trying their best to keep us safe. We had 2 personal butlers: Jesus and Eduardo. They both went out of their ways to make us feel special. Every night they drew a bath for us with our choices of bath salts, aromatherapy oils for the room diffuser, and aromatherapy pillows of our choice (we made the selection through an app). All the restaurants were amazing. Our favorite restaurant was Bella, Manuel the maitre d' was fantastic. Mariachi by the pool was a nice touch! The coffee shop was so cool, with amazing macaroons, truffles, chocolates, made to order crepes, and assorted coffees and liquors. We used Dream Makers Vacation Services and we're glad we did. There are so many choices in Cancun, this was a very special celebration for us and we wanted it to be a memorable experience, Dream Makers found the perfect place for us!
