My wife and I loved our honeymoon at the Grand Park Royal! The service was incredible. We were always well taken care of! The pools were nice, the rooms and the whole resort overall was very very clean. Some of the food choices were incredible. Buffet was decent. It’s a buffet so it met expectations. We did not like the fountain drinks. Even things like rum and Coke seemed to taste a bit off. It was Pepsi bc they don’t have coke products but the soda still tasted funny. Same with any water we got around the resort that wasn’t bottled. I definitely recommend this resort and hope to come back again soon. Some tips: if you’re offered to upgrade your room - ask lots of questions and be sure it is worth it compared to the room you already have booked. We upgraded and it didn’t not seem worth it at all. But it was our one and only honeymoon so that’s why we went for it. Once we got into the room though, I saw that it wasn’t worth the extra $ vs. what I had already booked online. Make sure to pack everything you need. Water shoes are great for excursions. Extra sunscreen and aloe, first aid kid and medicines like Advil Tylenol pepto Bismal, alka seltzer. Etc. Negotiate everything. Prices are flexible. The Tulum XEL-ha combo excursion is 100% NOT WORTH IT. XEL-ha is fun but 3 things were down when we went so it really put a damper on it and we didn’t know those three attractions were down until we got there… bummer! Bring plenty of $1 and $5 bills for tipping.…
Yomelly H at grand park luxury resort was a great help and a super nice gentleman highly recommend his services! He made our stay so easy. From making our reservations to giving information about the surrounding areas
Had a lovely stay in Park Royal Grand, made better by the helpful staff - especially Gabino and Aurelio in the bar. So friendly and attentive! Loved the pool and the food options included. Thank you ! :)
Wonderful, Amazing! Ernesto kept our drinks full all the time. She was so friendly and amazing. We hope to see her next time we come here. We can’t say enough about her. Everyone is great but she goes above and beyond.
Beautiful ladies Great entertainment wonderful time Great time by the pool wonderful resort ladies were funny beautiful with great smiles Really enjoyed talking to them picture was fun really made our day can’t wait to cheer and be a part of it tonight
The hotel is smelly, old, worn out, food is terrible, loud karaoke until 11pm not letting you rest. Absolutely horrible place to stay, avoid at all cost. Restaurants are simply awful with food over salted / over cooked. Can’t express how trashy this place is.
The hotel is well placed, you can take the city bus right in front or you always have taxis available. The staff is really nice and always smiling. The Italian restaurant is very good, and the buffets varied There are always activities and the animators are very cool and not pushy when you refuse to participate I recommend this hotel 100%
In 2015, I came to the Grand Park Royal in Cancun for the first time. Never been to Cancun, never been to an all-inclusive, had no idea what to expect. After a fabulous week in the lap of luxury being catered to, my sister and I immediately knew we wanted to return. Our mom said that since now we had “high expectations,” we wouldn’t enjoy it as much when we went back. Now it’s 2022, and I’ve just returned from visiting the resort for the 8th year in a row, and although your parents are usually right, in this case my mom was wrong, and the Grand Park Royal has only gotten better and better, year after year. Things have been a little different since there was this little thing called Covid, but the resort has made adjustments and there is no detraction from the enjoyment. The efforts from everyone to make sure everything is always clean and sanitized are still definitely much better than the efforts in the USA. Every room at this resort has an ocean view, and our room this year was a junior suite, and ocean front. Loved the room, the two sinks, and the very nice shower with multiple shower heads! Nothing like waking up and seeing the turquoise Caribbean outside your window. My personal favorite restaurant is the Italian restaurant, but they are all delicious! The ocean view Seafood/Mexican restaurant (formerly known as La Concha, now known as Flor de Sal) had undergone a beautiful renovation and addition of a terrace as well as completely new menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, you’ll definitely want either Mirador (now Andiamo) or La Concha (now Flor de Sal.) The buffet is good also, but like every other buffet you’ve ever been to, obviously the made to order is the best. In the Oriental restaurant, you can either order from the menu or book a reservation for the teppanyaki—both delicious options. Tons of bars throughout the whole resort, as well as free drinks in your room fridge and drinks at every meal, so you’ll always be hydrated (or dehydrated, depending how you look at it!! 😊) Advice: ask the bartender for a surprise drink and you will not ever be disappointed. They mix together drinks that don’t have a name but are always delightful. Also, keep in mind that a dollar goes a long way. If you can afford to come on this trip, you can afford to give people a dollar for providing you a service. The activity staff are constantly doing things throughout the day, but we were feeling very lazy this year, so the only thing we did was corn hole. You can also do beach volleyball, water polo, water aerobics, all kinds of fun things. This year they also had a bucking jalapeno (like riding a bull,) and a foam party as well. Honestly you could go anywhere in Cancun and your resort would be beautiful, food great, drinks strong, all of that. What I love about this resort is the people who work there. Every year I can’t wait to return to see my Grand Park Royal “Familia.” You have never met such caring, friendly, and genuinely kind people who not only go above and beyond in providing service, but they also actually enjoy doing so. I love talking to them and finding out their stories, hearing about their families, and sharing jokes with them. THAT is what makes this resort stand out—a place that feels like coming home, even if you only spend one week out of the whole year there—with a family to welcome you with smiles and hugs. I want to take some time to recognize the following people. It's a very long list, but I want to make sure they all get recognized. Alicia- amazing pool waitress—she brings drinks without you even asking for them, and somehow always remembers what you want. Daniel (waiter) and Giliberto (teppanyaki,)- Oriental Andy, Carlos, Samuel (manager)- Mirador evening Verulo, Pascual- Mirador for breakfast Julio – Cocay Jose Luis—La Concha for breakfast and lunch Isis-manager in Mirador and La Concha for breakfast Hector and Victor- activities pool bar Belmai-adult pool bar Juvetino and Jesus- Ekinox bar Edgar-Cafe Sole Claudia-front desk Valet-Vicente Ricardo and Yomily—butlers Pamela and Oscar-member services Dario and Oscar-entertainment staff Braulio-manager- Braulio is our absolute favorite. We have known him for all 8 years we have been coming here, and he is the kind of manager who will step in to help and do anything for anyone. Additionally, he remembers every year that we like waffles with sweet cream cheese, and if there isn’t any of it made, he will make it himself. Truly one of the best people I know. All in all, we love this resort. I can’t say enough good things about it. I am already counting the days until I get to come back for my 9th visit next year. Thank you Grand Park Royal for being my favorite place to visit!…
The resort is lovely. Very clean and well manicured. Our room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The AC works very well and all rooms have a beach and ocean view. The food is good. Not great. We really enjoyed the “Oriental” restaurant. Of note, you have to make reservations for all the a la carte restaurants (Italian, Mexican and Oriental) and you can only book three days in advance. When you arrive, make reservations right away. They’re open from 8-4. If you want to do the Hibachi at the oriental restaurant, you have to specify as they only have so many spots for that. We had it twice. Delicious and so fun! We had room service the last night and it was so good! The serving staff is wonderful. Especially at the pools and beach. We especially loved Ernestina, Erika, Belmai and Roberto. So kind and caring. Really made our stay fun. Of note: Upon arrival, we were directed to the concierge. Their role is to get you to sign up for a timeshare presentation and they walk you to the reception. Skip that (unless you’re interested) and go straight to check in. We initially agreed to sit through the presentation but after high-pressure contacts all week every time we were in common areas, we declined. “Will we see you Saturday? Bring your ID and credit card!” When we indicated we were no longer interested after so many contacts, we were met with an unkind response, telling us we didn’t want to “help them.” This changed our thoughts about the resort. Also, it’s worth mentioning the crowd is a bit different than we are used to. Pretty loud and more partying than usual. At least 75% of the people were locals (not a negative, just different). Probably due to the proximity to the CUN party zone and time of year. The premium pool is supposed to be "adults only" but there were several families with small children there each day. There is loud music at the pool until 11:00 each night. All rooms are pool/beach facing. We are happy with our vacation, but will not return to this property. …
not great will not come here again, room was lovely but all the rest very poor, the staff in the snackbar outside are not competent and very unfriendly, we were told very aggressively to sit down and that they will take our order, then a group of girls came their order was taken immediately ... when they finally came to our table 30 minutes later they said we are close now !!!!! UNBELIEVABLE !!! I will never go there again NEVER !!!!
