Ok ….. we started with a few hiccups on arrival, but after some dialogue with the management we solved everything. And oh man did they go overboard to make sure everything was up to 5 star hotel. Nelson our personal concierge and Miguel the manager they went above and beyond to make this a special trip. From complete frustration to absolutely happy and thankful for the staff and attention to solving all issues. I am truly happy and thankful for the entire company of Iberostar for being customer conscience in all details Definitely recommend to everyone for family trips
We stayed at this resort in August 2020. We had an ocean view room in the 1st floor of the main building. The room was clean and decent with a balcony. It is a typical room. While there our friends were gold members so we decided to upgrade (for an extra cost) during our stay as well and it was worth it!! We had private beachside service the server ISRAEL was beyond amazing and accommodating to our group! We visited all the restaurants including the buffet and the food was good and fresh. My favorite restaurant was the hibachi. The grounds were very well kept and clean. The resort is not too big so you can around by foot to anywhere you have to go. Our other family members stayed at a beachside villa with a private pool, that is worth it if you are looking to be more private. We visited the Spa as well and the service was great we had couple massages and we used the pool and sauna that was included. You can easily be there for half a day just relaxing. Also, the resort lobby smells amazing!!!! I know this may sound silly to mention but if you visit you will see what I mean! The covid testing process was easy and seamless. Plan ahead! But overall, I would recommend a stay here for couples or families and I would love to go back someday! …
1st time in Cancun and we loved it. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Pools, beach, and entertainment were excellent, bars everywhere and drinks were good. Food was good too. The only downside was the rooms, they need some remodeling, specially the bathrooms. With all being said, we will love to come back.
Check in and hotel very terrible. Room very smell of mold and dirty. Buffet lunch and diner completely was nothing to eat and dinner very much left over from lunch. Very old food. Do not come to this hotel. Ratting is not true and that is what we got trap and cheat. We traveled alot in 25y specially in Mexico but this is the worstest experience we got. We group of 35 people and we all disappointed.
First of all the property is very convenient from airport which is a big plus with all the ongoing construction. Alcoholic drinks, coffee shop and kids club were our favorites and we will probably return because of these three things.
We were at Ibero Star Cancun for the celebration of my niece’s 30th birthday! We wanted everything to be just right for this significant event. We approached Michael (Hamlet) with our request for a birthday cake. His reply was yes! we can do that! Tell me what you would like. There was no hesitation on his part, and he eased our minds immediately! Realizing that the order had to be placed with a bakery in town, he commissioned Mercedes Silva to provide our cake. Michael acted as our liaison with the bakery, ever patiently forwarding questions about each detail, which resulted in a delicious professional cake for my niece’s birthday. He delivered on his promise to provide us with exactly what we wanted. Five stars to Michael!
I read a few negative reviews on here but I am happy to say that any worries I had were unfounded. We had a great stay here in July 2022. Rooms were clean, booking restaurants was easy, easy to get sun loungers and great set of activities. The only negatives were the lack of lunch options and the lifts (only 2 working).
The kid’s club is amazing. My daughter loved going to Star Camp. They offered a variety of activities and the facilities were great. The staff was incredible, very kind and friendly with the children. My 7 year old daughter had an amazing time and was always happy to go. Definitely made our stay at Iberostar much better.
Few and dirty elevators, dirty rooms, dirty glasses and bottles, the restaurant staff was rude and disrespectful. I didn´t expect this from a hotel not so cheap. I was disappointed and I don´t recommend the hotel.
I visited Iberostar from July 28-Aug 2nd. Overall experience: 4.5 stars Thanks to all the Iberostar hotel staff members who make your stay comfortable and easy in every possible way!! Pros: 1. The food is fresh wherever you eat. 2. Any special request you make like food for the baby etc. is accommodated happily. 3. Overall the vibe of the place is very friendly. 4. You will see cleaning staff all day around to maintain the property. 5. Room service is great. Cons: 1. Elevator is a major issue. With one elevator broken and only 2 operating , it can be a long wait. 2. No air conditioner in the corridor or the elevator. It can be really bad at times. 3. They try and dilute your drinks with lots of ice (Donot forget to mention- Less ice) 4. There are 5 on-site restaurants for which you need reservations. They do not entertain walk ins AT ALL. please make reservations prior to your arrival @ cunrp2@iberostar.com. Mention your name and date of arrival. Trust me donot miss this part or you will land up eating at the buffet restaurant all day. 5. Ocean is full of sea weeds so swimming at the beach is not an option. Pools are great and only option. Overall a great resort and enjoyed it thoroughly. :)…
