We had a fantastic stay! Highlights: - Our reef access suite with private plunge pool: This really exceeded our expectations in terms of space, comfort, cleanliness, and location within the resort. - The beach and pool areas are very well maintained. There are a lot of spaces to sit that have great views and water access. Snorkeling right off the beach was fun, and there were lots of fish to see! - The food at all restaurants was fantastic (favorites were octopus dishes and ceviche, and the fresh quesadillas for breakfast). There really was nothing we didn't like about this resort! Here are a few tips: - The beach by the reef access rooms on the marina side seemed like the quietest part of the resort. If you are looking for peace and quiet, I recommend this area! The beach felt very private there. - Many of the rooms have couches on the deck that end up sitting under a spout that drips water, leaving the cushions wet. They are slow to dry, so if you plan to use these, move them to a dry spot at night or if there's rain so you can keep them dry and usable! - We had been looking forward to using the ocean cabanas based on photos of the resort, but these were already all fully booked for the entirety of our stay by the time we got there. If you want to book these, I would email the concierge in advance of your trip to ensure availability. …
I really love that place. Really huge lobby. The staff are so nice, the beach is perfect. Breakfast is like a lunch too much foods. Restaurant is wonderful and the service. Not too far to Coco Bongo. 27 minutes to airport. I definitely love that place and I am coming back next summer. Thank so much for the services.
Amazing experience! We went with a day pass! It was 11 of us and 2 cabanas. Moses was amazing!!! Truly incredible. He suggested a bottle of tequila and made the most amazing margaritas! We will come back to see Moses and enjoy the most amazing service, view and food
Ugh mixed bag so far (we have two more nights here). The pool area and beach are fantastic. Unfortunately the room we had the first night, 302, smelled like sewage. I spent most of the night awake thinking of exactly what it smelled like. Also the room came with no coffee or water, which was apparently a mistake. ...We did ask and were moved the next night. It was annoying to pack everything up and move after settling in but what could we do? The following day (today). I asked the front desk for an atm (I has no cash). They referred me to one in the build. Unfortunately that ATM machine ate my card before even asking for my pin. I approached the same front desk that referred me to that ATM for some assistance The front desk first said that they couldn't do anything as it wasn't their atm (no duh...but it is on their property). And after some convincing, they eventually got a manager (female - possibly Sonia?) and after more convincing she agreed called the atm company. Hopefully I'll get my card returned. I sure could use some money while on vacation. ...Update - its 2 weeks later (3/11/23) and the Intercontinental management never contacted me in any way with an update regarding my debit card, despite her (Sonia's?) adamant insistence at the time that she would. …
We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of our Mexican holiday last July. The hotel reception was stylish and gave a good first impression. Check in was very long and laborious, a lot of computer tapping whilst we stood there tired and weary. The rooms were very clean but compact and reminded me somewhat of a budget Ibis with a small and rather odd bathroom configuration. Standard rooms do not come with a balcony either which is disappointing when the view is so fabulous. On a more positive note, the food was really good, the pools lovely and the beach insta perfect with powder white sand and a turquoise sea. It was a lovely way to spend the final days of our holiday before returning to the daily grind.
My initial impression of the hotel was a mostly good one. It's meticulously maintained. The staff was courteous. There were lots of amenities. However, our room was not available until after 6pm. I said as such in my response to a IHG survey. Afterwards I received an email from a manager named Sonia, giving me more or less a generic response. Still nice gesture, I thought. So I wrote back and said a 3pm availability was understandable but 6pm was way too late. I also mentioned that I was charged an amenity fee of more than $16, not the $12 as stated on the IHG website. I sort of expected a response, but I heard nothing. Here is my beef, why reach out to guests if you wouldn't bother with replying and addressing their concerns? A superficial gesture helps nobody.
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The grounds are very pretty and well kept, while the beach is just gorgeous! It has lovely white fine sand and turquoise water. The rooms are fine, nothing special but clean. There was water bottles left everyday by housekeeping to use in the coffee machine and an empty little fridge to store drinks. The hotel was lovely and quiet while we were there. It was very easy get drinks at the beach bar. The location of the breakfast and dinner restaurant was beautiful, looked right onto the beach. The buffet breakfast was very good, had an omelet station and was changed up slightly every morning. All the staff were very friendly and kind too. All in all was a thoroughly relaxing & enjoyable holiday. I would recommended this hotel to a friend and would definitely return.…
I enjoyed my stay. I avoided all inclusive but still drinking and eating to some extent on premises it was nice. Irma at the spa is an excellent therapist...go see her. I thought margaritas and mojitos were less than stellar. Breakfast was buffet, omelet bar excellent, the rest meh. I was told dinner was good but I ate off site.
Excellent place. Clean. And beautiful grounds Pool and beach spectacular As for food I have celiac disease and usually feel awkward about asking for any type of special dishes. The staff had excellent suggestions and made perfect and tasty meals
It was a great facility, and Oscar at the front desk reception was very kind, courteous, helpful, and accommodating. Not to mention he was a trainee at the time but I really appreciate his hospitality making it a great experience for us while celebrating a birthday on this particular weekend. He provided us a wonderful room with a spectacular view. He said we would really love it and we did especially my girlfriend.
