Beautifully located resort with no seaweeds on the main beach! Excellent food. But the stay was so special for our family thanks to amazing GOs: Pinar and Adrian (from reception). We were lucky to meet them on the first day and they were guiding us around during our entire stay. This made us feel at home, even though we are not French speakers. Big credit to Clubmed for employing motivated and enthusiastic young people so much devoted to give their best. And both Pinar and Adrian went even far beyond that, playing with the kids, encouraging us to try new sports, themed restaurants and helping around! Kids absolutely adored them and we as well. Hoping to see them very soon at another ClubMed adventure.

We spent 12 nights for our family vacation at Club Med Cancun. Overall it was an excellent experience. We did lots of sailing as well as some snorkeling. It was great. Food is good to very good and there are 2 restaurants (3 if you include the steakhouse where reservations are required). Our rooms were spacious and clean. Wifi (the basic one; we felt no need to update to premium Wifi) works well almost everywhere in the resort. We had a category 1 hurricane during our stay and the club was essentially shut down for about 1.5 day. Despite this, we felt that everything was done to smoothen the impact on guests (and thanks to the Hurricane Protection Plan which is included by default in all reservations we got a credit of 2 nights for future stays; we did not ask for everything here and Management offered it). Food was served during the Hurricane and restaurants reopened quickly as well as all other activities. Overall, management did great here and not much more could have been done we thought. Special thanks to Marceval at the sailing center. Water in the sea was extremely warm (29 Celsius!) and same in the pool. Overall excellent stay, very relaxing and lots of attention is given to ensure that Covid does not propagate (masks required in restaurants, hand désinfectant almost everywhere). Good ambiance in the resort. So congrats to all and thanks for the great vacation.

We had an amazing time at the Club Med Cancun. The club is great, and the team is fantastic. The buildings are good. Some of the rooms are newer than others (if you stay in the Aquamarine building or area, the rooms are newer than the rest but farther away from the center of the club). The two main zones of the club are connected with golf carts that run between them all day. The ambiance is really fun and they are always doing something: Zumba in the afternoon, foam party at the beach…..The team of GOs is amazing, the ambiance fantastic and the food delicious! The GOs were amazing with the kids and teens and with everything! The nightly shows were really great, and Harrison was really good at everything! There is a Freddy Mercury show that was excellent! Ismael in charge of sports was super friendly, professional and a pleasure to be with. Lulu, in charge of the kids with her team, Roman, Ari, Stephanie, Marie, Alex and Lucas (with the teens) were amazing with the kids! They are caring, attentive, professional, and full of patience! The kids didn’t want to leave their clubs! Etna and Patricio at the reception were great. Etna was super sweet helping our teen daughter to meet other teens. Alejandra (GO in training) was very helpful and sweet. Sirio at the main pool was always attentive and making sure all the kids were safe and Dario at the snorkeling was really nice and fun. Mike and Jordan were great at the bar (Jordan makes the best mojitos!). Overall an excellent vacation and experience and we can’t wait to go back to Club Med Cancun!

This is our 2nd Trip to Club Med Cancun, and again the experience was awesome. We had a great family time with good attractions, excellent food, and amazing attention from GOs and from the Chef the Village. The Club Med staff are always happy to help and make our vacation special and with lovely memories. The mini Club team was so nice to my 8ya daughter that she asked us to make every year a trip to Club Med Cancun as called our "Family Tradition". Also, our friends serving us on the beach: Isidro and Daniel, were super friendly and offered amazing service always with smiles. I totally recommended it as a relaxing and pleasurable family vacation.

We stayed at Club Med Cancun at the end of July and had the most amazing time!! This was our first time visiting an all-inclusive as a family (myself, my husband, my 5 yo, and my 18 mo) and we will absolutely be back again! ARRIVAL Everything started off without a hitch. The transfer from the airport to the hotel was super smooth - the Club Med representative was easily identifiable and we were picked up within a few minutes. Our room wasn’t ready when we checked in (it was 12:30, so we didn’t expect it to be) so we dropped off our bags at the front desk and went to Hacienda for lunch. We had some bathing suits and sunscreen in our backpacks, so we were able to hang out by the pool until our room was ready. Pro tip: if you can arrive on any day other than Saturday, do it! The number of Saturday arrivals is insane. I’m sure the resort handles it smoothly, but I’m glad we had a Friday-Friday stay for a low-key arrival. ROOM We got to check in an hour early and were so happy with our room! We stayed in a Family Deluxe room in the Aguamarina 100 building. The room is so spacious with plenty of room for the kiddos to hang out and play while getting ready. Both bathrooms have full size soap and shampoo, which makes packing a little easier. It was so nice to have an en suite tub and sink in the kids room! While my husband and son showered in the main bathroom, my daughter and I got ready in the kids bathroom. The kids toilet is a separate room in hallway. The bonus retractable clothes line over the kids tub was so useful! And both rooms have blackout curtains, so no need to worry about the sun waking anyone up early. We had a ground floor room and enjoyed the walkout directly to a tiny rocky beach (seriously tiny - water is lapping right up to the retaining wall, but it’s so secluded, I really enjoyed it!). The fridge was always stocked with waters soda and juice. I will agree with some other commenters that the room is a little humid but when it’s 80% humidity outside, what do you really expect? We did have an issue with our bed - their “king” size bed is actually two twins and not comfortable. (And I even prefer super firm beds!). One of the frames was broken when we arrived. We called to have it fixed at 5:30, but it was still not fixed at 8:00. However, one more call and they came immediately and brought in a new frame. For the baby package, our room had a bottle warmer, a stroller, and a pack-n-play. The pack-n-play had a mattress on the bottom and was made with sheets and a blanket every day. The Wi-Fi is ok. Verizon service is terrible in Aguamarina. Both are much better in the main area. Shuttles to and from the main building came frequently. There may be a short wait once in a while, but it’s short and rare. BEACH The beach by the main area is very nice and is a “typical” beach with soft sand. If you look at the geography on Google maps, you’ll see this beach is kind of protected by some land jutting out into the water, which makes for very gentle waves and very little seaweed. You can see that the beach further down in front of other resorts is a little rougher and has more seaweed accumulation. The beach by Aguamarina is a mix of rocks and sand. Definitely wear some water shoes. But it’s much less busy than the main beach area, so it’s easy to snag a chair. The water is super clear and barely any waves - perfect for little kids! We took our snorkel gear out a few times and saw a bunch of fish. POOL The pool by Aguamarina is awesome. It’s a gradual entry pool that is great for all kids. There’s also a baby pool next to the gradual entry. Yes, you should reserve chairs early if you want a prime spot. It happens at every resort and hotel that I’ve ever been to. But we always found a couple of free chairs even in the middle of the day. It’s a little more relaxed here during the day than the main pool, but we did enjoy some fun activities like aqua aerobics and pool soccer. The main pool has a deep end of 6.5 feet plus (my husband couldn’t touch) and the shallow end was about waist deep for me. My oldest can’t swim yet, so we stuck with the Aguamarina pool, but took a couple of trips to the main pool. It’s probably nicer if you have older kids - music, the big bar area, the Crepery for a quick bite, activities throughout the day, and the “nice” part of the beach. FOOD The food is so good!! Dinner starts at 6:30, which may be an issue for some young kids but we brought lots of snacks with us so our kids handled it ok. We ate breakfast and lunch at Taco Arte and Hacienda, and had dinner every night except one at Hacienda. Adult options are so fresh and delicious! They also always have kid-friendly options that “should” be good for picky kids - deli ham and cheese, pizza, pasta with simple sauces, yogurt, fruit, chicken nuggets, French fries. I say “should” because apparently my kids are the pickiest ever and basically survived off French fries and the snacks that we brought from home. Not Club Med’s fault at all! It was a little annoying to make dinner reservations - you can only make them at La Bodega, the wine bar in the main area by Hacienda, from 9-3 pm for two days in advance (if it’s Friday, you can only make reservations through Sunday.). But once we were able to, we didn’t have any trouble with not having any reservations available. We went to La Estancia and the food was spectacular! The empanadas were perfectly crispy and the steak was super tender and well seasoned. KIDS CLUB & BABYSITTING The kids club is SO well run. My son loved it. They had so many fun activities - a Minion hide and seek, a pirate treasure hunt, arts and crafts, trapeze and trampoline, sailing for the older kids. Make sure to bring a backpack for your kid for their towel, sunscreen, dry clothes and shoes, and a hat (an absolute must have - they walk all over the resort and the sun is fierce). We also used the babysitting service for my 18 mo’s nap time and late afternoon for Tues - Thurs. They assigned us the same babysitter for each day and she was AMAZING! Changed her diaper, put her down for a nap, played with her, gave her some of the snacks we had brought. We didn’t use the pajama club (7-9 pm), but I think plenty of other parents do and once our kids are older we definitely will! We scheduled an evening babysitter to sit in the room once the kids were asleep so we could get a nice dinner. There was some confusion/a hiccup over the scheduling, but Marie made it work and we enjoyed a lovely evening just the two of us. THE GO TEAM The GOs are so friendly! A GO in training, Yancy, joined us for lunch one day, and we really enjoyed chatting with her. I hope you make it to Quebec, Yancy! ACTIVITIES Club Med has some amazing snorkeling!! I recommend bringing your own snorkel and mask because who wants to share that, regardless of sanitizing procedure, but also because you can snorkel at the beach by Aguamarina (any beach area really!) The guided snorkel tour was fantastic, so make sure to sign up early because space is limited - we saw so many fish, coral, and two enormous stingrays! If you want to sail, make sure to sign up early in the week for lessons. My husband took one lesson the day before we left and wasn’t comfortable taking me out alone without another lesson or two. We’ll make sure to do that next time around!

Overall a really great stay here with an 8 and 11 year old and we would definitely consider returning. Having previously done Neilson sports holidays - ski and watersports - we thought we would try Club Med. PROs: V easy and comfortable transfer although long wait for room (9am to 4pm so pack a day bag). Absolutely beautiful resort with stunning, well maintained beaches, mostly seaweed free which is no mean feat given local issues with seaweed. Hard working garden and maintenance staff. Food is absolutely incredible. Fresh, varied, local and international. Faultless. Taco Arte is fab for lunch. Estancia is perfect for a one off special meal. Sergio was very attentive. Great activities for adults and kids. We loved trapeze; sailing; kayaking; SUP and all the fitness staff are brilliant. Special thanks and recognition to Tammy, Will, Paulo on Trapeze - kind, patient, inspiring - and to Alexis and Max at sailing - warm welcomes, friendly faces and overall lovely people. Wany, Lewis and Fei did superb classes. Loved Wany's Zumba and Fei's Yoga on the beach. Great excursion team - merci Greg. Kevin - co-chef de village was also constantly present across the village, smiling, welcoming and inclusive, making time for everyone. A very genuine and hardworking guy. I hope he represents a future more welcoming, mixed and international club Med clientèle. We didn't use kids club much - see below - but recognition is deserved for Ari and Alex with the 8-10s who absolutely work their socks off with never a cross word. Nelson is also v welcoming and helpful. SUGGESTIONS for improvements to make things more inclusive, international and closer to 4* +++ Despite being fluent in French and spending a lot of time as a family annually in France with French family (I am an A level French teacher) at times we felt in the minority and not 'in the club'. There is a lot of reference in shows and stuff to sort of 'in' jokes or historical 'how we used to do' club med references and sadly some of the French guests weren't very friendly at all. That said a lovely French lady told me that there were some pushy and arrogant people in resort and even as a French family and regular club-med'er they'd felt a bit uncomfortable so as she said we shouldn't let a few rude people taint our view. I suspect timing our trip later in August when French hols come to an end would've made for a more mixed crowd. Don't get me wrong I love France and French people but don't appreciate insular, superior or entitled folk regardless of nationality. Buffet restaurant staff in la Hacienda seem under staffed. Takes a long time for tables plates to be cleared or coffee to be offered. Toilets were dirty at times, especially ones close to main buffet. Some areas could do with repainting and sunbeds replacing but grounds staff seem to be constantly on the go. Humidifiers in all rooms would be fab. Took a while to dry clothes. My kids are 8 and 11 are sort of fell in a gap for kids club. The mini club activities are too young for them and the teen hanging around not suitable. However they loved accessing all the activities with us. Neilson offer a more sporty 'hot shots' option for kids where the focus is on sports tuition for tennis, sailing etc which would've been more appealing. Having some of the entertainment start earlier would be great as we only managed to catch a couple of nights.

In Club Med, everyone of the family can enjoy the vacation! My daughter loved mini club and made new friends, and I finally had some spare time to do sports and put myself in shape again. GOs are very nice and interesting people, multinational and global travelers. At evening, GOs put amazing shows to guest, they are so talented. This is my first Club Med experiences and I will definitely come back! Thank you and gracias!

We had an amazing stay at Club Med, it was the cherry on the cake. Rooms were incredibly clean, you do need to ask for a dehumidifier. The resort is amazing, great activities, we loved the sailing, trapeze, snorkeling, foam party too much to mention. The room was amazing and staff very friendly. I would highly recommend this resort.

My family and our friend’ family visited the Club Med for the first time 7/26-7/31. Spacious rooms , delicious food , friendly staff, beautiful beach, various activities, and gorgeous show. Everything is perfect except they don’t have AC in the theater and lobby. My kids grow up with AC in the US. They complained a lot when we watched the show. I can see the performers are sweating so much.Hopefully for our next trip, they will have AC installed.
