Really fun time at the Westin. Guillermo and Ivan from the activities team were the best. Got a really great 2 session workout with Ivan in the morning. And then played bingo with Guillermo. Enjoyable experience in between enjoying the beach.
First time staying at the Westin Resort & Spa & sad to say it will be our last as well. Chose this hotel to spend my baby moon at, one last vacation before giving birth. I was ready to rate this hotel highly until the last night of my stay. The resort is nice, has 3 pools however 2 of them were always closed. I never seen security around the premises & one of the elevators smelled like weed. Not something I was happy to smell since I’m pregnant. Upon check in, they had me sign a paper stating how much I would be charged at the end of my stay for the room per night however upon the end of my stay my total ended up being much more than what I had signed for (not counting my food charges) The front desk agents admitted they had made a mistake in the paper they had me signed but couldn’t honor it. I was very disappointed at this point, I have worked as a front desk agent so I know that if I were to make a mistake & receive a signature from a guest, that’s what I will honor regardless of my mistake, this wasn’t the case here. I stayed up pretty late on my last night going back & fourth with them on how it’s their responsibility to double check what they’re having a guest sign, & asking them how is it that I’m being charged for their mistake, I had already gotten prepared to pay for the amount signed for so to have the amount readjusted at the end was a big curve ball for me. all I was told is that they would escalate this issue and I would receive an email from the front desk manager, however I have not. Overall very dissatisfied.…
Came to Westin on a timeshare experience and had a mixed experience. I've stayed at Westin Lagunamar and this hotel is not close in terms of service, location, or food. They have been updating the rooms and our room had a nice view, but was not updated room. Breakfast buffet with omelet station is good, the steak and seafood restaurant is average. I think once all renovations are done I would return, but unless you want quiet and are willing to cab or Uber into town and for restaurants you may want to stay closer to downtown.
Aldo Brenda anna Luis guiermo Ivan did a wonderful job during the guacamole class! So fun and DELICIOUS! We had an amazing relaxing time here. The service was wonderful. We wanted a really relaxing trip.
Lovely beach, spacious rooms, great restaurants, fun poolside activities ( Ivan), great pools, exercise room, gorgeous setting, great people, tons of fun. Just enjoyed drink mixing at the pool. Samples shared by the staff!!! Our room is overlooking the pool and beach. This is an active resort that has an excellent on the beach restaurant which is romantic and delicious. Casual restaurants that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner too. This is an older resort which is well maintained and lovely.
Everything is top notch. The Westin resort & spa took care of our every need. The resort activities starts in morning and doesn’t end until 4. Ivan, skinny G, Ana, Brenda and Luis are entertaining and full of energy. My family had the greats time. We won some prizes playing Bingo. I will be back again, again & again. I would recommend getting a ocean view. I woke up to the most beautiful sunset and refreshing breeze every morning Gladys B
Ivan, Anna, Guillermo, Brenda and Luis and Aldo and Claudia were amazing I had so much fun learning with them. A great experience. From Pilates to the margaritas, my friend and I had the most amazing time.
The Westin is a great hotel!! The view is amazing and the staff is so friendly and accommodating!! They have lots of activities at the pool all day long, just played Bingo with Guillermo!! They have water work out in the pool and Pina Colada activity’s.. so much fun!! Will definitely be back!!
First time staying at the Westin Cancun Resort and Spa. Normally stay at the Westin Lagunamar. Very nice place to stay. Great beach area towar d the cove area in front of Club Med. The day we walked up there the water was like a swimming pool. Can’t get that down at The Lagunamar. Also the staff here is much more engaged on a personal level with the guests. They have daily activities where they will spend time personally talking to you to make sure you are invited. They had a ceviche making class, daily water exercise class, and even a pina colada class. Unlike Lagunamar, the pools and lounge chairs are right on the water. No mile walk across the sand burning your feet. Stone and Sands restaurant right on the waters edge is a great place to eat. Activities staff are all so friendly, helpful, and engaging. Special compliments to Aldo, Ana, Ivan, Brenda, and of course Guillermo. Also the last Cancún bus stop is literally right in front of the resort, so easy access to get everywhere. We took the bus to Portfirios one night and it was very easy back and forth.…
We booked a short family getaway in a 2 bedroom unit. Upon arrival the exterior looked quite basic. Once inside it was spacious, clean and modern. The suite was lovely, clean and spacious with 2 adjoining balconies facing the non functioning flo rider. I’m not sure why it wasn’t functioning as all pools were open and I don’t see how it was any more of a risk of Covid than the pools or elevators. The washrooms did not have fans in them but towels were plenty. More lotion would have been helpful. The staff (front desk, concierge, restaurant and entertainment staff) were all excellent. They require masks indoors and have hand sanitizers around the property. They give 2 bottles of water in the room but these should be replenished daily. The bar by the pool would not give water and said it had to be purchased for $6US! The sports bar has jugs of water and you can ask them to fill your bottle (we always carry our own). You have to make a reservation for the gym snd they have small water bottles in there. You must wear a mask at all times, even when running on the treadmill. There are wipes to wipe down equipment. The breakfast buffet is good and has plenty of vegan/gluten free options. $22USpp. Sports bar has gf and vegan too but the sea and Stones restaurant has limited options but a lovely ocean view.…
