The hotel is operating at 25%. It doesn’t have most amenities open. The property is well kept and exceeding the 150 points to be open during COVID. The staff is constantly sanitizing. Rooms book 24 hours after last guest. Our morning server Rene at the Arena knew our folio, room and names after two days! He worked above and beyond. The infinity pool was wonderful. The lifeguards keep busy watching pool and shore. Sea Turtles came up one night. Security allowed our son to help collect them for the nesting site. After arrival we asked if possible to be upgraded to a balcony. We were told the next day it might be possible and give a call to reception. We did! We received a gorgeous room without an added charge. What a treat. No one entered our room. Everything ordered by room service was delivered touch less. The staff was friendly. Our only boo during our quick Labor Day trip is the store items were not for sale. We wanted to purchase an item and told no. A staff member could have grabbed it for us to buy as easily as the sun screen. We’ll be back- we actually contemplated leaving Sandos Playacar a night early to return.

Moreover, we are truly happy to acknowledge our staff, specially people like Rene, our security staff and the Front desk exceeding your expectations and providing amazing experiences. Such a joy to read your little one described so well his experience and had the opportunity to see nature from very close. On the other hand, we regret any discomfort regarding the store items, we will be looking into this and do any necessary adjustment to prevent this to happen in the future again. We enjoyed our time at the Westin Resort & Spa. The staff was incredible - especially Juan (evening waiter - except he was there to serve us breakfast on our last morning!) and Rene. Though many of the amenities were closed, the resort gym (you need an appointment), two pools and two restaurants were open. There were very few guests at the resort, so the staff was very attentive - both to making sure we had everything we wanted to eat and drink, but also to keeping things clean and sanitized.

Beautiful hotel in beautiful location.. Staff so friendly and nice didn't saw anyone without smile for 7 days while being there. Food delicious and nice atmosphere. Tempura prawns were mine favourite meal all day long

Amazing views, seven pools and even more better this time because it was quite and lite customers due to Covid19. You will have to temp in and wash the bottom of your shoes upon arriving. The staff have made many accommodations due to the pandemic but I think it’s even more amazing. Food is also delicious. On the bus line to get to aquarium and mall.
