Stayed at the Westin for a week with friends and had a great time! The facility is very clean and has a great atmosphere. The location is very close to a lot of activities and best of all sits right on the beach. Two of the employees Luis and Guillermo lead fun activities like cooking classes and poolside games. Hoping to return soon!
The stay was amazing and the workers were kind and fun with the games. Guillermo was fun and awesome to be around. Same with Luis and Aldo. They were so funny and made the whole trip worth wild. Will most definitely be back again and stay at the Westin.
I had an amazing time here at Westin Resorts and Spa. The pool activities; bingo, water workout, and cooking class were interactive. I also received a massage and I slept the whole time that’s how great it was.
We came with a group of 6 and had a blast. There were fun activities at the pool. The cooking class, bingo and exercise at the pool were all fun. Definitely recommend! The poolside and beach side service is a plus as well.
The best hotel the best staff and the activity was the best we love the bracelet class with Guillermo and itzel that was amazing! Love everything about ! The beach was great no sea weed and not a lot of people ! Food was great room was great !!!it was my second time here and ill be back for sure ! For more classes of margarita
This was a family trip and our first time visiting Westin Resort and Spa. It’s a smaller resort but nothing short of fun, great service, and a very relaxing stay. The highlights are their daily activities throughout the day, which were very entertaining and enjoyable. Guillermo and Aldo were 2 of many employees that led some of the activities. I now know how to make a really good mojito and delicious guacamole!
Right on the beach with terrific pools, nice beach and plenty to do. Check-in was fairly quick and efficient and the rooms were clean and spacious. Lots of thoughtful touches like two luggage caddies in case you didn't want to unpack. You could just put your luggage on the caddy and live out of that. Empty refrigerator ready for you to fill with cool drinks and left-overs and lots of complimentary bottled water. The small recycle bin was a nice touch as was the oversized trash can. The breakfast was good, the on-site store pretty pricey and the sports bar had good food. Beachside service was excellent and the drinks and food were good. The beachside chairs were plentiful so no having to dash down early to 'save' yourself a chair in the shade. There is a super cheap city bus that runs what seems like every minute from the bottom of the hotel into town. Always felt safe both at the resort, on the bus and in town. Do take the bus downtown and eat at the local places. The food and drinks there were so cheap we had to wonder if the bill was right because it was so low (but make sure they take credit cards if you don't have cash.) The daily activities were fun, even the bingo but the real blast was the 3.00pm activity, from making guacamole to margaritas to ceviche to pina coladas. They serve up the drinks and food to the guests and they're not shy. Seconds and thirds on the drinks is standard. Tips: 1) Go into town and stock up on beer, drinks and snacks. Go to the real grocery store and a 12-pack is 168 pesos or $8.50. 2)The exchange rate at the hotel is fine (19.10 vs market of 20.30, not a bad rate at all) but they often can only do $100. 3)Eat downtown if possible as more authentic and waaaaay cheaper. The restaurants along 'hotel row' are priced like US restaurants. 4)Avoid the time share (sorry, 'Vacation Club') pitch like the plague. 5)When using your charge card, always insist they do it in pesos and not dollars. 6)The taxi to and from the airport should be 900 pesos or $45 maximum. Were quoted $75 at first - uh, no. 7) Always, and I mean always, check to see if the tip or service charge is already in the bill. They are NOT shy about getting a tip on top of the included service charge. Annoying: Nowhere on the property takes cash and during our stay seagrass was piled up on the beach. Not the Westin's fault, but still annoying and a bit smelly. Super cool: Watching the sea turtles come up each night to lay eggs.…
I cannot describe a more amazing review for these three wonderful employees at this Westin. Herbierto who was the server at the second pool bar/wand of beach. He was beyond phenomenal and courteous, his professionalism and joy For his assistance he truly made us feel right at home. I couldn’t honestly write paragraphs upon how attentive and wonderful he was. He truly deserves all the praise in the world. 5/5 stars in excellent service. Carina and Annette were our masseuses and just as equally try were perfection, I have never felt more refreshed and relaxed after our sesssion. Their kindness and attentives to our need was outsanding. Overall my parent and I have had an exceptional stay at this Westin and it is all credit to Herbierto, carina, and Annette. They deserve the highest commendations for their service ! 10/10 would absolutely stay here in a heartbeat just for them.…
I am a BonVoy Titanium Elite member. This place is worse than many a $98 per nt Courtyard I’ve been in. Filthy, dated, sand fleas in bed, missing appliances. Only saving grace is the restaurant service.
My family vacation was amazing. The manager Carlos Puc at the Arena Sportsbar was so accommodating to our food allergies. Miguel was kind and so helpful. We are grateful. Annette gave such an amazing massage. This is a beautiful place and Roger at the front desk was so helpful.
