We enjoyed a delicious family Italian dinner. It was a superb experience, from the excellent waitstaff keeping our drinks topped off and the courses of our meal coming at a steady pace, to the chef checking in on us so that every need was met. Special thanks to Gustavo Arias for a perfect night! Highly recommend this restaurant!
My wife and I took a Babymoon to this hotel when she was 7 months pregnant. We had a wonderful time and I hope that others will enjoy the hotel as well. We wanted to share our thoughts on a few things: * The service was great: From the front desk to the cleaning staff, everyone was friendly and helpful. Our great service actually started *before* we booked, when I exchanged emails with the concierge asking some questions about Covid and Zika safety. Special shoutouts to Julio, Alex and Pillar for making our pool time so relaxing. Shoutout also to Ariel for his fun water aerobics class, and for his woman teammate whose name we have forgotten. * Good food: The food is good! By far our favorite was La Joya - we liked it so much the first time that we went back for a second dinner later in the week! In addition to great food, a mariachi band also performs for each table during dinner, and will take your requests! (Do some googling, don't be the table that requests "Despacito.") We also enjoyed dinner at the Trattoria. We had lunch at Isla Contoy and it was just ok. I'm guessing it would be better at dinner. We did not eat at the stakehouse, Le Basilic, or The Table. The food at the pool is tasty, perfect finger foods when you get hungry. The breakfast buffet was very good, although we had run out of new things to try by the end of our stay. Try the salchichas, they were our favorite. * Pool & Beach: The pools were absolutely delightful, and may have been heated? We weren't sure, but the temperature was perfect. There are four (technically separate) pools, 3 of which have a swim up bar, and each of which has a different level of activity. The beach front was perfect soft sand, and we enjoyed sitting in beach chairs near the ocean. One thing to note: Because of the location of the hotel, you essentially have a private beach, with very few non-hotel guests passing through. If you want a more exciting beach scene, you're a 5min walk to the Playa Forum. * COVID safety: This hotel takes COVID seriously: All staff were masked at all times, and most also wore face shields (even the Mariachi band at La Joya wore masks!). During our stay there was even a person in the lobby who hit the elevator button for you, so that you didn't have to. There are clear signs asking guests to wear a face mask inside at all times, and each entrance has a staff member who reminds guests to wear masks, and provides a mask if necessary. From what we saw most guests were compliant most of the time. The hotel checks guests' temperatures before they enter each restaurant. The one exception to mandatory face masks is during meals. At La Joya and The Trattoria, as well as the indoor buffet, people are sitting around without their masks on. At La Joya and the buffet there is a lot of space between tables, so this didn't seem like a huge problem. The Trattoria is a little smaller, and honestly we were a little uncomfortable during dinner. Whenever we ate at the buffet we asked to eat outside, and we were able to do so every time but once. The onsite COVID test was very convenient. * Rooms: We booked an Ocean Front Room, which was the second level from the bottom, just above Ocean View Room. We never figured out what the difference was between these two: Unlike other hotels, at the Grand Fiesta ALL rooms directly face the ocean. * Location: The hotel is located at the end of the hotel zone furthest from the airport. While this means that the drive to the hotel takes about 30min, it also means that you get to see allllll of the hotels as you drive past. It is also located about 2 blocks away from the "Zona de Discotecas," where there are many clubs, bars, restaurants and stores to shop at. We enjoyed being able to walk around, people watch, and easily buy some toiletries at the local stores - many of the other hotels are quite isolated from anything else. We never heard any noise from the Zona at night. Finally, the hotel is literally right next to a ferry that goes to Isla Mujeres. If you wanted to take a day trip, it could not possibly be easier to get on and off the ferry. * Misc: We did not see a single mosquito our entire trip.…
We had a great time and the drinks at the lobby bar were great! Miguel made me a alcohol-free cocktail that was excellent! Always nice to have options when on vacation and they went above and beyond!!
Was there for 6 days and on the beach every day!!! Carlos at the Bikini Bar beach service was amazing! Ask d for Carlos! I would highly recommend this resort. No need to leave the resort as the food and beauty was amazing. Carlos was pleasant and prompt and was also service with a smile. I’ll be going back
Very good, solid 4-4.5 all inclusive resort. Rooms are in good shape. They clean twice a day. Room service is the best. The buffet has ups and down. Al la cart dinners missed taste and flavor for me. My wife loved them though. Entertainments on the beach side restaurants were great. I wish they made the indoor pools and jaccuzi for free by reservation. It is $71 for two hours now. We enjoyed our 5-night stay overall.
Carolina, Sylvia and Tonya, outside and Jesus, Victor and Edgar inside were very accommodating! We will hopefully be able to come again next year. We always feel safe and clean at this resort. We can’t wait!
Had the most incredible time at grand fiesta, I did not want to leave! The staff is the most friendly and attentive resort I’ve ever stayed at. Every morning delicious breakfast buffet, drinks by the pool in the afternoon , then to one of the many restaurants they have on site. Will definitely be coming back!
Great ambiance and amazing service by Fernando and Gomer! They were so attentive and made our experience a memorable one, especially with the Mariachi who serenaded us ;) the food is fantastic and done with flair and we enjoyed it immensely. We will definitely recommend and most definitely be back! Thank you Fernando and Gomer :)
My husband and I have been coming to this hotel for more than fifteen years. Always beautiful! Thanks to Salvador, Gerardo, Yukiko, Manuel and others at the concierge desk for creating caring warm atmosphere. The moment you arrive to the hotel entrance you be greeted by Alex, Elias or someone else and the team will take care of you to the very last moment of your vacation. Lobby bar is very beautiful with nice loveseats on the terrace and comfortable seats inside. Very special THANKS! to Blanca who always remembers what drink you like and never forgets to remind you about last call in case you want something else. One of the best French restaurants I’ve known is right there in the hotel. Elegant decor, music, exquisite food—you will want to be back there even before you finish your dinner. Thank you Captain Gerardo and a huge thanks to all waiters who make evening at Le Basilic unforgettable! If you chose to order lunch straight to the beach ask for Fernando. He will take a great care of you. Thank you very much, Fernando! Your first time at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach will never be last. You will be back!…
This place was top notch! Everything was excellent. The customer service and attention to every detail was over the top. We will go back again! We were located right on the water with the pool and sand right there!
