This is perhaps the best hotel I've ever been to, and I've travelled! Almost everything is perfect: facilities, rooms, beds, view, service, restaurants, etc. The pool area is quite large, although it is not air-conditioned, but hardly any hotels do. The restaurants are very elegant, with varied and tasty food (except the chilaquiles, which are hard. Perhaps they should use thinner moles, or serve them already prepared and well washed in their sauce, as other hotels do). The staff is friendly to an extremely good degree. I could not name names, for there were so many who received us amicably and attended us, in all areas: Reception, Concierge, Beach area and pools, etc.

Specialty restaurants are really good... more than good. We've been to Cancun 14 times, to the best hotels, and it's the first time no specialty restaurant has let me down or made me think I should have gone to the Buffett. La Joya is a Mexican restaurant, with videos of vernacular music projected on the walls, and with a rich tortilla soup and a beef rib prepared slowly over several hours... Delicious and soft! We also liked Chianti, the Italian restaurant, with a cream of roasted garlic, quite tasty ravioli, live violin music, with Carlos, an Argentine who delights with his beautiful melodies, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. We also went to Cortes de carne restaurant, with a very rich onion soup and soft and delicious meat. Three days a week there's a tango show at that place. We also had dinner at the seafood restaurant, called Contoy Island... delicious. Of the 9 nights we stayed, 7 times we dined at these restaurants and were always totally satisfied with their atmosphere, treatment, and food.

The beach is ideal to get into, as it is very low, with low surf (and low altitude), white sand, blue-green water and blue-turquoise. The view from the rooms is spectacular; you see Isla Mujeres, the lighthouse, Costa Mujeres, the sea with its variety of colors... To behold.

There is a 24-hour cafeteria, with very tasty Italian ice cream, coffee, savoury snacks, cakes, cookies, etc... Spacious, clean, elegant... and outside they have in the wide and comfortable corridor a self-service area, with coffee, water, fruit, cookies, bread, etc... With many spaces to sit and enjoy them, tables with chairs and areas with armchairs.

I have nothing left to thank the staff for their excellent treatment.

A wonderful All-Inclusive resort with great staff and amenities! Every one of the staff were friendly, courteous and worked to make sure guests had a good time.

The sandy beach was small but clean & ideal for swimming. 7 themed restaurants on site provided a wonderful variety of Mexican, Italian, Asian, Steakhouse, Sushi, Pizza, poolside food and 3 swim up bars!

The poolside service was great, with waiters delivering food and drinks all day long! The view from our room was awesome, all rooms face the ocean, so there are no 'resort view' rooms.

They had nightly entertainment; themed dinner shows and lots of activities during the day. You won't be bored!

Be aware: this resort is popular with families bringing toddlers and babies, so there will be lots of them in the pool, around the bars and in other common areas.

All in all, it was a great experience, despite Hurricane Milton passing by during our stay!

Had lovely 30-person family reunion here over Thanksgiving despite the resort falling short of expectations.

The good:
-- Soft white sand and turquoise water! The beach is quite narrow and unevenly rocky in some parts, but swimming here is lovely
-- My kids (who have never done an all-inclusive) LOVED this place. They really enjoyed the Mexican Fiesta night, the game room, the Karaoke in the teen lounge, and of course the pool / beach. (Never made it to kids club)
-- The food was better than I expected for an all inclusive: green habanero salsa, ribeye cap at Havana, green juice at brunch, chicken mole enchiladas at La Joya, pastries at the cafe. They also made two birthday cakes (tres leches and tiramisu) for an off property birthday event and both were great.
-- The special Thanksgiving banquet was better than expected
-- Drinks at the restaurants and especially at the Veranda bar (downstairs) were all good. Poolside liquor is mediocre so we stuck to Michiladas or beer.
-- The rooms were always spotless. Cleaning service is twice a day and really well done.
-- Pool water was heated to a great temp and offered a few different sections. It's also easy to switch from pool to beach throughout the day without having to walk far.
-- We had great family photos taken here through the "Dream Arts" vendor inside the hotel
-- Property isn't too big so it is easy to find one another

The disappointing:
-- The property looks better in the photos. It's a bit old and in need of some upkeep.
-- The facilities are quite lackluster compared to properties in the same "class" (e.g. Moon Palace Grand)
-- Mismanaged / disorganized. We booked 10 rooms directly with the hotel several months in advance, yet it felt like they were scrambling to accommodate us upon our arrival. Check-in took forever. Our 10 rooms were distributed all over the hotel instead of near each other (which they were able to mostly fix). We were asked on the spot to make all of our dinner reservations b/c "everything was booking up," but we weren't allowed to reserve on behalf those who hadn't arrived yet... This was especially annoying b/c it could have been done in advance and b/c we were tired, starving, and hoping to get to the Mexican Fiesta before it ended.
-- We reserved a "semi private" group dinner as part of our contract and hoped to use this to celebrate several birthdays. But our group was split up among three separate tables placed near each other but not together.

We never tried the spa, kids club, or special restaurants... But if you've been to other 5-star resorts, you might need to reset expectations before staying here.

This is maybe one of the worst rooms I've had to be in. Upon check in was given a room on the first floor at the far east end of the hotel. It was incredibly humid and musty. Then I was moved... to one floor above that room. It has been only marginally better. Nothing will dry in this room- not my swimsuit- not my sheets- literally nothing. My room has stunk to high heaven this whole week.

For being an "All inclusive hotel" things are open at chaotically odd hours- there's not like an all day open easy to access place. The food is okay but by and large very repetitive.

Every mirror in my room is damaged- and I hear that's a complaint with others as well. It feels dated and old and the constantly terrible smell doesn't help. My view is okay at best but they have set up DJ events right under my window multiple times.

They have no shopping options other than a small street fair they added with VERY pushy sellers you need to haggle with just to not have insane pricing.

I *want* to like this place- I really really do... In the positive- the water areas are some of the best- the beach section they own is lovely and the pools are actually decent. The drinks actually have alcohol and they don't seem to be pushy for an additional tip. There is musical entertainment here and there that I do appreciate.

Sometimes conversational english can be hard to find- but that's on me as I am the tourist in their country.

The smell is the worst part though. I think I would rather stay in other resorts I've loved in the past.

Visited with the whole family (2 adults 2 children ) in October to celebrate birthday and anniversary, We paid for the hotel shuttle to pick us up from the airport and they were waiting for us in a clean nice van ready to take us there. The hotel is beautiful, big and full of space. I like that all the internal balconies have plants growing all around, such a natural space. The hotel is not the newest and somewhat dated in certain areas, but you quickly get over that once you see how clean and loved the space is.
Our room was perfect, ocean front and waking up to that view every day, it’s just spectacular. It had everything we needed, beds were comfy and for being a bit dated hotel, I was surprised at the size of the tv, pretty big and new for the room. It’s nice to wind down and fall asleep at night watching a nice movie sometimes.
I believe there’s 9 restaurants to choose from, some of them need reservations so it’s wise to reserve them upon arrival. Our favorite was la Hoya, the traditional Mexican restaurant in the hotel. Absolutely beautiful, amazing and fresh food and superior service. They even had mariachis playing which adds to the authenticity feel.
The pool area is drop dead gorgeous, with 4 main pools to choose from. The beach was beautiful, I like that it wasn’t huge and just steps away from the pool. It wasn’t very crowded either, but keep in mind we went in the low season, unsure how this would be during high season. The water was clean, it had a few seaweed but nothing too distracting. The weather plays a big role on how the water is. On clear days it was a beautiful turquoise, more rainy days it was greener. Beautiful either way.
Service was top notch in every aspect, from concierge to room service to the restaurants and outdoor bars. In true Mexican style hospitality. We had a great experience with Alexsandra Garcia at concierge, she made us feel welcome and answered all our questions, from the best restaurants to dine at, to activities to do. She guided us in understanding the premises and how things work. A professional and courteous team member!
Cannot recommend this hotel enough. One small recommendation would be to perhaps add a jacuzzi/hot tub to outside pool area? Currently the only hot tube is in the spa, which we didn’t visit but looked gorgeous. The first two days we were there it was windy and a bit rainy, it would have been nice to soak in the hot tub. But that is not a deal breaker, rather a suggestion. There’s a million more things I could say, this will forever be a memorable vacation for our family, we left a piece of our hearts at Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach!

Food very bad, è very disgusting this all inclusive. A child eating nutella with his own spoon in the pot the service staff saw only exchanged spoon instead of exchanging the nutella pot. Back home, I'm gonna take an urgent worm remedy.
At breakfast there is a dress code that applies to some and others not.
Literally the woman in front of us came in in beachwear and my wife soon afterwards can't come in.
The beach chairs is good to wake up at 05:00 to reserve after that everything is marked and you need to sit on the floor that if you want to enjoy the beach

We recently booked an all-inclusive package to Cancun through Costco, and our experience at Grand Fiesta Americana was exceptional from start to finish. The moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Every staff member was warm, welcoming, and made us feel like VIPs from the get-go.

Our room was spacious, spotless, and came with all the amenities we could need. We especially loved the twice-daily room service, ensuring everything was perfect throughout our stay.

The resort offers a variety of excellent restaurants, and we never ran out of great dining options. Each meal was delicious, and the variety of cuisines kept us excited to try something new every day.

One of the biggest highlights was the beautiful weather and clear, pristine ocean. Costco had issued a sargassum advisory, but we were lucky enough to have none during our stay, allowing us to fully enjoy the beach and crystal-clear waters.

We couldn’t be happier with this package and the experience it provided. Booking through Costco was a breeze, and Grand Fiesta Americana exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommend!

I’ve been to this hotel twice now with a large group of family. It’s an excellent place for families and one of the best in Cancun. We went there with our 3 and 4 yr old boys.

We’ve also stayed at the Dreams Playa Mujeres, and prefer this hotel. We paid for the Infinity Club and felt it was worth it. The extras included are fun such as the French restaurant, spa experience, jet ski, and private lounge chair area that’s family friendly. Plus just being able to book any group size and any time at all the restaurants is a huge plus. At Dreams, this was a huge hassle with no reservations and standing in line or waiting.

I’ll mention some of the other things that we liked better than Dreams and also just generally why we liked them. The beach and pool are close to each other, so it’s easy to go between them versus an expedition at Dreams.

The food is flat out better here. The room service menu has excellent options versus a very limited “bar food” list at Dreams. The restaurants for the buffet and dinner were all very good.

The gym is new and world class for a hotel, and I sell the stuff so I know.

The spa is very nice with a full suite of sauna, cold plunge(mild), steam, etc…

The hours of the restaurants are convenient with 12pm lunch and 6pm dinner versus 1230 and 630 at dreams which was just slightly annoying with young children who nap at 1 and sleep at 7. That led to a lot of room service lunches and, as mentioned, their room service menu sucked.

Ice cream and baked goods coffee shop had excellent options. Dreams had inedible ice cream, not even sure what it was made of.

The staff were very friendly and professional at both locations.

Shuttle service included is a nice luxury vehicle.

The beach is more protected and has no seaweed plus it’s actually swimable versus a decent amount of seaweed and not swimmable.

Overall just lots to like here. If they could improve anything, it would be opening the gym earlier (7am is late for those with kids who want to eat at 730). Other than that this place is pretty ideal for a family vacation.

When registering our check-in at Reception, they told us that by losing the bracelet that gives us the right to All Inclusive, it would cost us more than $3,000 to replace it. Likewise, at breakfast, lunch and dinner we were asked for the room number and name to write down in an old-fashioned book. For what purpose? I don't know.

Both cases today, with today's technology, where practically everything depends on the proper administration of the database, could be resolved with a Bracelet or Badge that contains the Guest's data. If the use of the book is so important in each Restaurant, they could have a terminal, a Lap Top and a reader to capture the data from the Bracelet with our data. As well as in the case of losing it, we avoid an absurd cost, and the guest can notify reception so that our Bracelet can be blocked. Previously we were at Club Med, where they also give us a Bracelet, which also works as the key to the room with a reader, which if lost can be locked, and replaced with another one at no cost. So why not be more technologically updated and study the most practical process to NOT sanction a guest, have the security of avoiding misuse of the Bracelet, and be recording in an old book every breakfast, lunch and dinner in a Hotel with so much luxury where practically nothing is missing to be perfect. During the Mexican night, we were assigned to a table with a family of Indues (Indians from India) with several empty tables available. It was quite unpleasant since they talk a lot and shout, they eat with their hands, their children throw the food and they are a little careless with their hygiene. The conversation was very interesting and intense, but we didn't understand anything. I think there is a lack of training here and the initiative of whoever assigns the tables is obvious. The same thing happened to us at two meals, with individual tables free, ideal for us as a couple, we were placed at small tables facing each other along with others with Oriental couples who were quite uncomfortable with their behavior which is quite dry and indifferent, it deprived us privacy and intimacy. Finally, the rooms look like filming or photography studios, the lights are very intense, and they do not have a dimmer to adjust. When you wake up half-asleep to the bathroom despite the night light, you need to turn on the light, sleep is scared away by the flash of so much illumination. Thank you!

Pleasant experience with great ambiance! I loved the live piano aspect, and the dancing performance was a nice and unexpected touch. The food was great and I was full by the end of all the courses. David was a great waiter! The palette cleansers were also really nice, and all the staff were very attentive to clearing plates when we finished eating/asking about allergies.
