    Trip #19 to the FACC!
We just returned yesterday from our 19th trip to the FACC, and as always we just had a wonderful time. Since I have written many reviews of this hotel over the years, let me first call your attention to those reviews, as far as more general aspects of the hotel and for pictures, and so I don’t just keep saying the same things over and over, I’m going to devote this review to things which are new, changed, or eliminated from the all-inclusivity of this hotel. First, the hotel renovations which were done over the past few years are all completed now, there is no construction going on any more, and in my opinion the hotel is just gorgeous! I think that almost $30 million dollars was spent on these renovations and it really shows. Our room and everything in it (#667 Sun Tower) looked brand new. We had a nice balcony and patio chairs which were also new. As is the case around most, if not all the Carribbean, Sargassum (seaweed) is everywhere in the (ocean) water. They tried every day to sweep the beach, and I appreciated the efforts, but it is a losing battle right now. We went in the Caribbean one day, but it really wasn’t a pleasant experience. But there is plenty going on every day at the pool, and the water there was just perfect. A lot of people on these reviews single out single or multiple individuals who have provided them service above and beyond what might be expected. While I COMPLETELY respect that point of view, I actually think it diminishes the efforts of those service personnel who are NOT specially named. I can say again, as I have said before on these reviews, that I have never met a single person on the staff of the hotel who didn’t look like they loved their jobs, who weren’t competent at their job, and who didn’t treat my family and I as if we were the reason they do the work that they do. As a small example, we had just gotten to the hotel.. we went down to the pool bar, and went up to get something to drink. Not only did the bartender remember our NAMES, but he also remembered what both my wife and I usually ask for to drink. I really don’t see how they can possibly recall that kind of information with as many people as they must see every year. The booking center for different activities has been moved from the lower level motor lobby where it used to be, up to a desk on the main lobby level. Covid restrictions are no longer in place but are now left to individual choice. Some people wear masks, some don’t. STAFF all wear masks…all the time. A pre-departure Covid test is no longer required for US citizens. I can’t speak to other countries or policies. We ate at the Kalmia and the San Telmo restaurant. I really enjoyed the food at both places. It was clearly prepared with care, and certainly diverse enough for my families tastes. My wife ate most every day at the Chevicheria down by the pool. According to her they make the best fish and shrimp tacos she has ever eaten. We also ate at the hamburger/hot dog stand poolside, and at the little pizza place, also poolside. We thought all of them had great food. People had a tendency to finish their drinks at the pool and just set the cup on the side of the pool and leave it there. Clearly that just left a mess that someone had to clean up. We tried to start a little “trend”: we would go around and pick up the cups, and tell people that if you returned the cups to the bar, the bartender would give you a “free” drink.. ;) By the end of our stay, quite a few others we’re picking up empty cups, so we hope that helped a bit….and it was kind of fun to joke around about it. That’s about it for this time. We are going back in February for Valentine’s Day, and our 20th time to the FACC. We’ve never been during the winter so that will be something new. And in talking to locals, they say it’s just as warm then, and there is no sargassum that time of year. We’ll see ;)
Dear Mr. Thomas, I would like to express my gratitude for the time you have taken to share this review and for the valuable comments you’ve provided in it. It is very heartwarming to read that you have been part of our family for so many years and that we have had the opportunity to be your hosts 19 times, we are definitely looking forward to receiving you once again. We thank you for leaving us this comment that undoubtedly helps the entire TripAdvisor community to get an idea of the incredible experience that awaits them in this home away from home. I thank you, especially for the wonderful "trend" you shared with us about the drinks, I was really moved by the intention with which you and your family carried out this activity. Please do not hesitate to contact me so that I can give you the warmest welcome on your next visit to this home. Kind Regards, Sergio Valencia, General Manager

    Flippin Fantastic
The food is great, you can swim on the beach but a lot of seaweed at first but blue blue clear water. The service was beyond excellent. Everybody is genuinely friendly and does a fantastic job. Everything is super clean and there's a bus right in front of the resort on the street and for 12 pesos with your pain in pesos or one American dollar you can get a one-way bus ride to the different shopping centers downtown. there is no free sunblock on the pool like some other resorts. All the free food is beyond excellent. The music by the pool is fun. We had no problems finding a lounge chair by the pool even as late as 9:30 AM. Gratuities are included in the price but I think tipping for a great service is great. They ask you to wear your mask everywhere except in the pool but no one enforces it but everyone keeps a safe distance. you can book any type of excursion at the hotel and the prices are good. In the morning you can get your coffee from the little coffee service inside the gift shop. Although there are children allowed it is not loud and the rooms are super clean actually the entire resort is super clean. Highly highly highly highly highly recommended and book your shuttle to and from the hotel you'll pay half the price than you would if you get a taxi.
Allow me to express my sincere appreciation for writing about your experience at Fiesta Americana Condesa. It is a source of great pride to read that we have managed to create memorable moments for you. I am certain that your comments will be very much appreciated by all involved, as it is always heartwarming to read that your efforts are being reflected in satisfied guests. Thank you for speaking so highly of our service, we are looking forward to welcoming you back soon. Warm Greeting, Pilar Tapia General Manager

Great visit, amazing staff and great beach
If i could give 4 1-2 stars this resort deserves it. Currently onsite and have a few more days left but wanted to do this review as i cant sleep yet anyway. Staff provides good service, especially the staff at Thai Kunn restaurant, San Telmo and Cevicheria also at concierge’s Fernanda and Luis are amazing and will do their best to provide and meet your requests. Now the reason for 4 1/2 stars is the food, its good but not great - me this probably falls on preference as i am used to having access to great food when we go on vacation. I am talking about the specialty restaurants, but for an all inclusive it is very good we enjoyed it and service was amazing, just that I could have been better. Anyway let me cover the other aspects that make this resort 4 1/2 stars, as mentioned the staff are great and will take care of you. Rooms are spacious and more importantly beds is comfortable and ac blows cold, just make sure balcony doors we really really closed ours were closed and locked but I guess it did not engaged the sensor so room did not cool as ac will not turn on once sensor was engaged worked perfectly. Pool a bit chilly for my liking but you get used to it not a lot of ppl in the pool kids didn’t mind it, be aware that pool closes at 8pm at this time. Beach is perfect no seaweed and nice sand no rocks in the water as some resorts do (thank you everyone that posted this on this site one of the deciding factors for us) as we enjoy being in the ocean water. Think thats it, other than trying the Italian and Mexican restaurants which we will hit up tmrw and the next day, if anything significant will right a review on those. In conclusion, we will be back here again when we come back to cancun.
Allow me to express my appreciation for taking the time to share your review of your recent stay with us. We are honored to have been your host. Your observations have been sent to the corresponding areas that you were mentioning and to take action in this regard. The comments we receive from our guests are very important to maintain the quality and service. Thank you for mentioning all the aspects of the Hotel that made your stay more comfortable. We would love to have the opportunity of hosting you for many more occasions. Warm regards Pilar Tapia General Manager

Absolutely loved the resort! Food was great, very clean, drinks were flowing, beach was clean and water was calm, nice towels and towel service. The entertainment group was amazing! They had the guest participating with every activity! A huge shout out to Daniel who was the CROWD PLEASER and very personable! Esteban the DJ kept the place rocking and played what the guest wanted to hear! Only complaint was we did not thar we had to upgrade to have a balcony. We literally had a door with a one foot standing platform. Other than - everything was fantastic!

Fiesta Americana Condesa is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff are excellente! The buffet restaurant is one of the best I have eaten in, service and food are just spot on, Angel our waiter is courteous, friendly and very helpful with trip suggestions. The entertainment team are excellent, with varied daytime activities around the main pool which are so much fun! The beach is stunning and when the waves are crashing it is such fun to play in the sea. The whole resort is spotless and very beautiful. Having walked much of the hotel zone via beach and road we think it is in the best location, on the best beach. The little red bus which you can catch out front is perfect for exploring the "strip" for 1 dollar each you can travel the entire 14 miles zone. Coco Bongo is must and Chichen Itza is worth the long journey. This hotel is situated opposite Aquaworld where you can go on boat trips and hire jet skiis etc. The jungle tour for driving your own speedboat and snorkeling is excellent and brilliant fun. The trip to Isla Majeres is fantastic for a day out! I could say so much more, but to sum it up, come here, you will have a fabulous time and I can't recommend it highly enough!

We spent 8 days at the Fiesta Americana Condessa and we enjoyed our stay. We were very happy with the service we received in the buffet dining room especially Diego, Pedro and Daniel. Auriel was also very helpful in looking after our needs. We were a little disappointed in the 3 reservation restaurants. We thought the quality of food should have been better. A little upset with the fact that they were always trying to upsell something. All inclusive should be just that. The entertainment was not very good. We never saw a show or any mariachi bands playing. It did not really have a mexican feel. It was enjoyable, but we have been to Cancun 4 times and we would probably stay at a different resort.

Excellent family resort. The food was amazing at every restaurant. This was our fourth visit to this resort and look forward to our next vacation here. Chef Josue, Dorantes, Gabriel (Italian Restaurant) , Juan Jose Hernandez Palomec, Paola (making Crepes), Henry Ernesto ( in the buffet), and Angel Viveros were very attentive to our large family group of 13. They were ALL amazing!!! Can’t wait to go back.

The room and facilities were great, but it was really the staff that made our stay so very special. There is no way I can remember them all, but the following really stood out: Front desk- Fernanda and Ailen (?) Cevecheria - Carlos, Felix, Eduardo Pool Bar- Pedro, Carlos, Alejandro, Eduardo Coco Loco- Eduardo Massage- Claudia and Ruth El Mexicano Restaurant - Andres and Argenis Buffet- Henry (and so many more!) Room Housekeeping- Rosaria Event Guy - Jose Don ____ (taco restaurant by lobby)- Nicolas The restaurant El Mexicano was our very favorite restaurant. The food was awesome! Thanks to all of those listed above and to all the others I can’t remember…it was YOU who made our visit so amazing!!

We just returned from another trip to Fiesta Americana Condesa to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Once again the people at Fiesta make this our favorite place in the world!! I truly wish I could recognize all the employees that made our trip amazing because they all are like family! Arli has been our favorite waiter since we began coming to Fiesta- we always look for him! Our favorite guys at the pool bar (Pedro,Rodrigo, Rudolpho and Sandro) are the best! They remember us and make us feel special. JJ around the pool always makes everyone smile- that man is always happy!! We met a new waiter at the pool this time, Isaac, and he really stood out! He was constantly trying to get us new drinks and anything else we might need! Great addition to the pool staff!! Felix and Carlos are the best in the lobby bar- love these guys! Eladio, Yadira, Dorantes, Erika, Fernanda and Francisco are always finding us and making sure we are happy! They honestly make us feel like we are movie stars! Josue is the best chef and so genuine- he always gives us hugs and has a huge smile all the time!! Magdalena and Minerva were great hostesses- remembering us several times! We will be back because of the service and sense of family at this resort!

Where do I even begin! I have been to Cancun about 4 times, and this is quite possibly my favorite resort of them all! First and foremost, FOOD WAS AMAZING here! The resort isn't huge, and you can actually walk around the entire resort and see it all quite easily, which I love! I have just two issues with the resort, but I'll get to that later because they're not huge issues. Check-in was fairly simple. We got there around 1pm and were told our room would be ready by 3pm. Unfortunately, when 3 pm came, housekeeping was still cleaning our room, so we had to wait about 15 more minutes outside of our door. When he was finished, the room was certainly clean. My wife and I decided to walk around and check out the gym and spa services. The gym was very small. Theres only 4 treadmills, and only 2 of them work. There are some weights. But nothing significant. The spa was wonderful. My wife and I decided to book massages. And boyyyy, when I tell you that "4 hands" massage is unique, I really mean it. The 4 hands massage is two masseuses massaging you at the same time. We were greeted by Noel, who was really sweet. He took us into the steam and sauna and treated us beautifully. Veronica and Ruth did my service, and Ely did my wife's. They we all so amazing and treated us with the utmost kindness. I literally would come back to this hotel simply for that massage treatment. We did it right by the beach and the sounds, the smells, everything was perfect. We then got loungers by the pool, and Juan Jose, aka JJ "woot woot," was super attentive to us. Asking us if we wanted drinks consistently. Making sure there wasn't a moment we didn't have a drink with us. I loved him. He was so nice and welcoming. Our servers were Sergio at breakfast and at the Cevicheria was Manuel, and they were really nice. There was a gentleman named Jose, I didn't get his position, but he would walk around the resort and ask if we were all doing okay. On our second night? Reservations were all booked at the restaurants, and he came to the rescue and was able to get us a seat at the Italian place. He was super helpful! My wife and I ate at the steakhouse, and there was a lady working named Linda. SHE WAS A WORKHORSE! She was nonstop! When my water glass was empty, she was on top of it! She wasn't a waitress at the restaurant... but she did one hell of a job. I was absolutely impressed by her and her work ethic. So much so that I tipped her more than the actual waiter! She was amazing. The entertainment team was great. They didn't seem as involved as my other experience in other resorts. But they were great. Michelle was around for the majority of my stay, and she was fantastic. There was another taller slimmer gentleman, I didn't get his name, but he was the comedian of the team because he was pretty funny! The 2 issues that I had with the resort was that the AC was nonexistent in some of the areas where you would expect. Like the bathroom near the restaurants. It was HOT! Felt like a sauna when I was trying to use the bathroom. Also the music by the pool. I understand that we're in Mexico.. and Cumbia is the music of the land. But thay was literally all that was played the entire time we were at the pool. A lot of the songs felt like they were for the older generation also. I can appreciate music of all kinds, but after a while, switch up the genre a bit! Some reggaeton would have been nice. Some salsa. Some bachata, some merengue. The music didn't have to be English. But switch it up from time to time. I wanna feel like I'm partying. All in all, I loved this resort, and I'm 100% willing to return! Thank you for such a memorable time.

I had reserved a king size bed and got a queen. They reused the dirty sheets with pizza stains we had. They promised to changed us to a king room the next day and told us the next day they over sold so sorry. I had high expectations for this hotel because of the ratings. This was a horrible stay and experience. I high recommend for you to stay at another hotel

Allll was amazing!! Loovee this place! It's our home away from home!! But there needs to be more nightly entertainment, we were used to attending shows every night, and there was none of that this time around. Also, please monitor the music at the pool area, this is a family resort, but very vulgar and inappropriate music is played DAILY!! From drug use, to sexual content, to bad words, this is the music that was being played, sooo unacceptable as there are kids at the pool always. Please look into this matter.
