I think the hostel is relying a bit too heavily on its past achievements or reputation. To wit: breakfast is horrible, rooms are cramped and run down; heating and cooling are poorly regulated; no evidence of a hands on-owner; intermittent intrusions by crazies and beach bums. Yeah location is good but really there are many similar quality hostels and hotels...

I stayed at this hostel for three nights. The location is great, just a 5-10 minute walk from the ADO bus station. Staff are really lovely! I met some great friends and memories staying here. They have good wifi, free breakfast, lockers and the atmosphere is great! 11 peso on the local bus to the hotel zone and they always...

Huh, where to start? Awesome hostel. Best taff ever, they're so so sooo friendly and funny and welcoming. Every hostel says that you'll feel at home there, but the Ka'Beh is the only one so far that I've felt so much at home. Coffee all day, big water can, well-equipped kitchen with big fridge. Nice garden with hammocks and tables....

I'll start with the pros first of all: - well equipped kitchen - tv with netflix is always a winner - good wifi throughout the hostel - make yourself breakfast was a cool idea, at any time - worker from South Africa who checked us in was really thorough and kind. He was very informative and helped with several questions...

Stayed for one night in private room. Beware of bait and switch. Online the price was $480 pesos. This hostel requires a two night minimum but in their description it says that if you are only staying for a night to drop in anyways and the will make sure to "take care of you." When we arrived, just like their...

I wasn't really looking for a party hostel as I was a bit sick, but the comments were all amazing so I decided to give it a go. I stayed in a 4 bed dorm with private bathroom (across the street, in front of the main building). The staff were all nice and helpful, I went on the Whale Shark...

Thankfully I only experienced one bad hostel on my three month trip to Latin America, unfortunately it was this one! The room was very smelly as was the open area. Sadly it was because the windows didn't open. There was also no room to move in the 6 bed dorm, the beds taking up all of the room. There was...

We stayed a few days and enjoyed a relax and warm environment. There's a receptionist all the time to help us with anything we need. Money exchange, safety box, internet, wi-fi. English and Spanish. Good location, close to public transportation (ADO). A place like home.

Amazing friendly staff that were great and helped so well when we encountered a few problems. Felt like we were with friends and not hostel staff. Love the all day breakfast and the location so close to the bus stop to downtown and near the little square with great street food. Go for the 12 dorm, it's really big so...

Really nice place if you are looking to hang out with other travelers and have a nice party night. The common area is away enough from the bedrooms, so you can still have a really good rest if you are not feeling in the mood to hang out with the rest of the guests. Staff is amazing and always willing...
