The best thing about this hotel is the location. It's close to the main bus station for the airport or other travel excursions. It's close to shops, restaurants, nightlife, and other local food vendors. The room was not the best as the TV didn't work and had cables all busting down the bottom. The shower only had cold water but if you ran it for 5mins it warmed up a bit. The toilet wouldn't flush and no fresh water was available. A man came up and fixed the TV and toilet but it was not a great first impression. The Hotel claimed to have a pool and shuttle available but that wasn't true. The pool is at another cation pretty far on the hotel zone plus you have to pay like any other person off the street can. The shuttle is a ca they call and you have to pay for that as well. There were two women at the front desk. One was great the other didn't care much at all and it showed.

Don't expect the welcoming committee. Most don't speak English and will not converse with you. There's no smile, no nothing. It's as if they want to be somewhere else. First room, 109, air con didn't work. There is also no bedside table so I had to put my glasses or water on the floor or bed. Was moved to 209, the bathroom faucet was completely loose and when you turned it on it blasted the water everywhere. This will be my last stay at this hotel.

We stayed this hotel for a night. The room was big enough and clean but the bed was tiny for my husband(182cm). Wi-Fi wasn’t working all the time when we were there, the lady at reception said “it’s not working for an hour” but end up all day until we checked out. The credit card machine wasn’t working either, we had to pay by cash which was bit annoying but good value for a night.

When it comes to bilingual they are not. At least not for this American. While the room was nice there were issues important to me. No wash cloth for one. How does a hotel not provide a washcloth? Light at desk provided did not work. Mentioned it, told next day. 6 days later still didn't work. But back to the Spanish. No nap of area Spanish o otherwise. Ask for directions someplace? Good luck! The real kicker was that there was a few tiny little spots of blood on the sheets from a scratch I received. Wanted me to pay extra. I flat out refused and left. That my fellow travelers is ludicrous!

I regretfully have to say that I would not recommend staying @ Suites Gaby. The location is good, cleanliness is fine as are the facilities (good aircon, shower & warm water although the tv didn't work). However, the reason I can't recommend this hotel is that I had to pay for a $150 MXN (£6.50) fine for a 'soiled' towel! The only soiling on it was a small drop of blood from shaving & some everyday dirt that is visible when a white towel is used. I was not going to be given any new towels until I paid the 'fine'. Also, the cheaper rooms seem to be near the stairwell which can get noisy as the sound proofing on the door is very poor (big gap between door & door-frame).

I'm very disappoint with the lack of management in this property, the hotel didn't honor the Expedia reservation for my entire stay (3 nights), I had two standards rooms with queen bed in each room but on my last night I was notified by the front desk person that I have to change my room for two single rooms. I tried to reach the hotel manager but I was told that he wasn't available, shame of them to force me to change the rooms even when I was given the right room during check in. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody due to this issue.

My wife and I stayed here for one night. We found the hotel to be OK. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaning was a bit lax, but not so much that we couldn’t stay. What put us off returning was the COLD shower. Definitely a no no for us.

The staff was really nice to be honest, but I got bit up and there were mosquitoes in my room. The bed was so sad and not comfortable and the doors are paper thin and you WILL hear EVERYTHING that is going on in the other rooms echoing all throughout the hallway. You will not get peace and quiet here or sleep. It's decently clean but I was not happy there so I left and booked a room at Beachscape, a resort on the beach in the hotel zone. I really don't recommend tourists to stay in downtown. It's not nice.

My husband and I booked at this hotel due to having only a short stay in Cancun before heading into the Yucatán peninsula. Firstly, if you are staying for leisure, avoid this hotel like the plague. The area is not made for tourists. However, we did not hold this against the hotel as we knew this before we arrived. We were, however, appalled by the customer service offered. Upon arrival after an early flight, we spent more than an hour arguing with reception about whether we had a booking. Despite telling the receptionist, Rebecca, multiple times that we had not booked through the website she kept searching, she continuously told us we were wrong - despite having an email confirming our booking. After more than an hour, a supervisor arrived who found our booking in minutes. No apology was offered by Rebecca who instead laughed at us. The supervisor did offer us a free coffee to apologise for the inconvenience but upon arrival to the kitchen we were told there’d be a 20 minute wait for hot water. Once our coffee finally arrived, we found dead cockroaches under the table. The final straw was when we entered the bathroom and found it was very dirty. This made me decide that for the first time ever (despite having stayed in cheap hotels all over the world) we would leave and book elsewhere. All in all, a terrible experience.

It was decent hotel at good place for affordable price. We were able to get taxi's so easily at the hotel. It also had a good swimming though we didn't get chance to use. The rooms were bit small but they were decent. There was party happening nearby place.
