What a great place! A family run business that cares about you and takes care of anything you need while your there! Always saying hello and "can I help you with anything?" The location is perfect for exploring the area. A nearby bus stop allows for easy access to downtown or the hotel zone. The ferry to Isla Mujeres is right across the street as well as a taxi stand. Like I said perfect location! The rooms are large and have everything you need. A fully equipped kitchen is nice to have if you just want to cook for yourself . The view from their private rooftop terrace is amazing. I cannot say enough great things about this place. You won't regret staying here. We will definitely come back.
I cannot say enough nice things about this hotel It was simply perfect. Well for us anyway. It is not what seems to be the typical Cancun experience, but we are independent travellers and prefer this type of hotel. Cosy, small and quiet. The pool and bar are to die for. We had planned to get out and about a lot, but we ended up staying at the hotel much of the time because we felt so at home there. The bar has the most fantastic sunset view, great drinks and you are able to order food to be delivered and eat it there. Such a cool option for dinner. The infinity pool is beautiful and plenty of space for all the guests, there was never a time we couldn't find a lounger. The hosts are wonderful. It is owned & run by a lovely family, and the extended family helped build & decorate the hotel with the architecture, paintings and sculptures. Oh and this was another feel-good factor for us, staying at a Mexican-owned hotel instead of spending our money in the big international resorts. The hosts speak English and German perfectly (as well as Spanish, obviously!) We stayed in 2 different rooms, the first had a street view, but better than it sounds because of the treetops outside our windows. But the second room... WOW. A spectacular view over the pool to the lagoon. Both rooms were very well equipped with a kitchen including all the basics (was nice after 5 weeks of travelling to be able to prepare a meal ourselves). The lounge rooms had comfy couches & good TV's. The beds were comfy. It was very tastefully decorated. Alex, Christina & Alex- hank you so much for the wonderful stay. I wish I could give you 6 stars! …
We recently had a wonderful stay in Casa Tortugas as a group of friends. The staff were friendly, the hotel is family-run which made it a lot more personal than the nearby all-inclusives in the Hotel Zone. They answered all our questions on WhatsApp & also have a useful website for FAQs. The rooms were massive, clean and quiet with beautiful views over the lagoon. We loved the rooftop bar (with drinks & they kindly ordered us pizzas to eat up there) and infinity pool, from which we watched the sunset. It was also very close to the beach, the ferry to Isla Muheres & the bus stop for our Chíchen Itzá tour. Overall, I can’t recommend this hotel enough. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
This place is incredible. Peaceful, exceptional fitted out, amazing family staff team, so helpful and welcoming. In the touristy insanity that is Cancun this place is a haven. It was perfect for our family. You will love it.
This is place is nothing short of being excellent. My second day at the hotel and it’s so amazing that I am leaving a review before my stay is completed. I will be staying for 5 days. The rooms are super spacious and perfect for families and very safe. They do an excellent job of keep the place clean. Alex is super nice and he did me a solid favor that I am sure I cannot put it in my review since it’s off the rules. He will provide all the instructions you need when you check in The taxi stand is 40 steps away and so is the public bus stop which is really cheap. I highly recommend this place for super peaceful environment. Visiting from Bay Area CA.
An incredibly beautiful, well-kept property with helpful and kind owners. Rooms were spacious, full kitchens, absolutely stunning grounds overlooking the lagoon with a pool and chairs for relaxing in the sun. Close to restaurants, convenience stores and activities. A true hidden gem!
We loved our stay at Casa Tortugas Boutique Hotel in Cancún. Javier and his team where super hospitable. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere of the infinity pool and the amazing view of the roof top bar. The room was impeccable. Nicely decorated. Clean. Convenient and comfortable. With an amazing view to the lagoon.
We had a great time at Casa Tortugas. We arrived late in the evening, which we communicated via Whatsapp, and were received directly. We wanted to relax in Cancun before embarking on a four-month round trip. Our room, which overlooked the pool and Lagoone, was spacious and well-priced. The view, the pool, and the relatively small hotel all contribute to a memorable stay in Cancun. We requested a taxi via Whatsapp the day before when we needed to get to the airport at 3.30 a.m. This worked just fine, and the taxi driver was as punctual as a Swiss watch.
We stayed at Hotel Tortuga for three nights. The room itself was okay but sparsely furnished, the hotel area is nice. Unfortunately some cockroaches came out around the pool area at night. We also had one in our room which was not very pleasant. In General our stay was okay but for our departure to the airport we had booked a shuttle through the Alex the hotel manager which he offered to us. Unfortunately this did not work out at all!! We booked the shuttle and paid this around 50 dollars in advance. The next morning the shuttle unfortunately wasn’t there at the agreed time and also the hotel manager was not available via phone. After waiting for about half an hour, the lady at the reception told us that our shuttle was now on its way. A few minutes later a taxi arrived and we were told that this was our shuttle. Arrived at the airport, however, the cab driver demanded another 150 dollars (absolute tourist rip-off the price) from us with the comment he knew nothing about a paid shuttle! We tried again unsuccessfully to reach someone in the hotel for clarification and finally paid the cab driver who threatened us after some time downright. Unfortunately until now we couldn’t reach anyone from anymore and of course now ask ourselves the question whether this was maybe planned because it seems very dubious and not very serious. In total, we have now unfortunately paid $ 200 for a 20 minute cab ride. At least an explanation or apology from the hotel would have been appropriate or a refund of the shuttle which we had booked through Alex the hotel manager. Is also very mysterious that Alex doesn’t reply to our messages anymore while before he replied very fast. If you like to get ripped off enjoy your stay in hotel tortugas!…
Loved this hotel, did not feel like a hotel, felt more like home, super clean and beautiful view, Alex was amazing with the recommendations! Definitely would come back again! Great location and the art in the hotel was so beautiful to look at !!!
