My husband and I stayed at Grand Fiesta Americana in Veracruz recently and were treated like royalty. Everyone working at the hotel was extremely eager to accommodate us in any way. Some of those who were exceptional were Alan, at the front desk; Eduardo at the pool; Jesus Aguilar and Simon in the restaurant and one of our housekeepers also. We also enjoyed seeing the locals come out in the evening and walk, ride or roller blade on the boulevard.

Truly remarkable! The attention and service of all the staff. From the reception very well attended. The spacious room (curtains with electric closing and opening), quality food and drinks with a very varied breakfast buffet and reasonable prices. The cleanliness is remarkable but also in the room they ask if you need anything extra without your asking. At all times I felt very comfortable.

The hotel is located directly on the sea and has a beautiful bathing area. We had spent 5 days there. Located in a quiet area. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel and so we could drive cheaply and easily to the center or the surrounding area. The room (junior suite) was large and spacious and clean. It has a large balcony overlooking the sea. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We initially had problems with the WIFI reception. Within an hour the problem was fixed. Our room was right next to the party salon. The first night there was a party with loud music. The hotel immediately assigned us an equivalent and quiet room on the other side of the hotel. We had booked breakfast Continental. There was an abundant and delicious selection. The buffet would still have hot food on offer. However, the extra charge would be high despite a special discount.

We booked a room with sea view and arriving at the hotel we paid an extra to be delivered a room on the highest floor available.
When I opened the curtains, I had one window dirtier than the other. I couldn't believe they could rent it so dirty.
It took TWO HOURS to resolve. No one gave us the time to ask, listen and resolve. Every time we got a worse room. They lack staff who listen to the client and know how to solve.

We arrived at 3pm and despite that, the check-in waiting time was 20 minutes, all so that they would give us a room with a view of a construction... we rejected the room and waited approximately 1 hour for them to assign us another one, while A very friendly young sales man approached to treat us to breakfast and sell us a vacation club membership the next morning, we accepted and went to our room. Once we got the room the air conditioning was not working normally, I called guest service 5 times and they never answered, I had to go back down to report the air conditioning. The facilities... well and truly... the pool ends up very dirty because people add a lot of sand, but we still had a pleasant time. The room: super comfortable mattresses and delicious showers and amenities! The bad: The next day it was raining a lot so we decided to go to La Parroquia for breakfast. I had the courtesy of going down to tell the salesperson that we would not have breakfast at the hotel. Melissa helped me, who in a mocking and quite rude manner demanded an explanation of the situation. cancellation... to which I responded that I have the right to do with my time what I decide and she complained to me... that is to say that if they "invite you breakfast" say no, because you are practically obliged and if you don't take it they treat you badly. The good: Miss Andrea assisted us at check out and said that they would take action regarding the situation presented The very good: Raúl's service was excellent, he helped us with the luggage and has an excellent attitude towards customer service
Disappointing experience because the rate vs the quality of service leaves a lot to be desired... I hope some team members learn that they are part of an industry that provides guest service...

We stayed at the Gran Fiesta Americana Veracruz for three nights from 21-24 September 2024, at roughly $285 (USD) including taxes and fees. I booked our two rooms through the American Express portal with ocean views and we were extremely disappointed once we arrived at the hotel. The hotel was extremely hot and stuffy and we were told that the city of Veracruz was experiencing rolling blackouts and the hotel’s A/C system wasn’t working at full capacity.
After we checked in (around 3:30pm), we went to our room and found that the temperature in the room was ridiculously hot and wasn’t able to drop below 27 degrees Celsius (roughly 80 degrees Fahrenheit), for OVER SIX HOURS. Even after six hours it wouldn’t drop any lower than 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit). While we understand that there was nothing the hotel can do about the blackouts, when we brought up this issue to the front desk and asked if they could provide our rooms with fans, they said there was nothing they could do. For paying $285/night for a hotel room in Mexico, I’m expecting to at least be provided with comfortable living conditions. As if this wasn’t bad enough, our rooms had roughly three inches of exposed wires near the sliding doors, one room was missing a lightbulb from the light fixture, the TV didn’t work in one of the rooms and in the other room the phone was broken and had to be completely replaced. The only good thing at this hotel was the food, but even that didn’t make up for the atrocious living conditions. I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay at this hotel. We’ll be staying at the Camino Real the next time we visit.

Terrible hotel, I think that even a three star hotel is better since I checked in because they didn't have my room because according to them they oversold the hotel and the one they gave me didn't work the door after I complained they changed me to another room the same or worse it can be seen that it is The old ones or the ones that barely work because there were cobwebs on the phone, there were cobwebs under the headboards and, worst of all, cockroaches in the bathroom, some garbage that obviously hadn't even been cleaned. It's one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I have never had in a hotel in my life the worst thing of all is that the staff at the reception does not care or rather they are not interested despite the rate one pays

Staying at this hotel was a pleasant experience from arrival to check out. The comfortable and functional rooms, with first-class amenities that are appreciated, such as L'Occitane bath products and a fairly well-stocked minibar, although with high prices, in line with the rest of the hotel's services.
The first-class attention of the staff deserves special mention. In particular, in our case, the Guest Services Supervisor Andrea Díaz did her best at all times to make our stay a memorable experience, from beginning to end. The warm and personalized touch that he gives to his treatment with the guest literally makes one feel at home.
It is always pleasant to come to Veracruz, and on this occasion staying at the Grand Fiesta Americana was a right decision.

Good morning, today on a sunny morning we visited the Arantzia restaurant of the prestigious Grand Fiesta América Veracruz hotel, the truth is we came unwilling to eat a lot since we had a sports match after breakfast, to which we were served by a very nice and kind person named Karina and He knew how to guide me in my tasting through the entire food bar and advise me on the times between each food. The truth is that I am very happy that hotels as important as the Grand Fiesta Americana Veracruz have people so capable of providing such friendly service as the one that Miss Karina gave me at the Arantzia restaurant. I fully trust in the ability of The entire group of waiters and cooks and I know that they give the best of their efforts so that we as diners can enjoy a delicious breakfast. It is worth mentioning that the place is very clean and has excellent air conditioning and lighting. I think my day started excellent and now it will be better because I feel satisfied! Thank you FAVZ and miss Karina <3

Hey!
They will offer you solutions such as conversion to MXN from a USD account with the current exchange rate, or you can also go to a bank nearby.
Hope this helps.
Hi
The hotel does have complimentary wifi and wired too for higher speeds.
I am not sure of the bank desk. But I suppose they have because there are many travellers from US. If you are flying into Mexico City airport I would recommend you to change the foreign currency in the airport as there are many counters in the exit terminals and they offer better rates.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Aditya
