We (myself, husband, and 8 year old son) stayed two nights at this hotel. Beautiful views of Taxco. Nice clean rooms. Breakfast was good. Pool was great for my son and the bar at the pool served good drinks and appetizers. My only complaint is about the music playing at the pool. It was extremely loud techno with base that... More

Loved the location of this hotel. The view was spectacular and the hotel took full advantage of this in locating the pool and bar and restaurants. The staff seemed to know just what we wanted and needed and were ready to accommodate us at every turn. Arce is a small silver shop near the hotel. I highly recommend a visit.... More

We spent a couple of days in Taxco, and Hotel Monte Taxco was an excellent choice. We used the cable car to go to town and had a great experience. The most remarkable feature was the panoramic view of the town. Food was good, with different options. The ambiance was comfortable.

The hotel is accessed by a very steep, narrow, winding road -- no problem if you pay attention. The bellman suggested we take a taxi to the center -- best 50 pesos we spent the whole trip. Driving on the narrow streets and trying to figure out directions and find parking would have been too much! The center itself is... More

We stayed here only for one night, it's clean and has an amazing view, the mattress was hard, we had a long trip on the bus and we tried dinner on a romantic restaurant inside, food was expensive and mostly average but we were very hungry, there are more restaurants downtown where you can eat on a budget and have... On the upside, the road to the hotel is adventurously steep and fun to master. Even more so with a kaefer cab. The view over the town is breathtaking - and the breakfast is expensive, though worth the money. On the downside, the paths to the rooms are long and rooms themselves are merely average (if at all). Upstairs there... More

We arrived at around 1 am because there was a perigrinacion and we couldnt leave the parking lot. It is a very cosey hotel with good food and nice staff. The only problem is the way up to the hotel is made of cobblestones and very windy and long. My wife talked me into another night here.

We spent two nights there. First of all, the problem isn't the attitude of the staff, which are without exception polite and positive. The problem is worse, it's of culture. The dinner at the main restaurant was worse than awful. They ruined a rib eye steak, and the only reason I can think of is because they won't invest in... More
