Excellent location just a few steps away from the main square. Friendly staff (don’t speak much English though). Modern and clean rooms. Probably the best facilities on our entire trip. The major downfalls for us (and the reason for just 3 stars) were
1) Really unreliable wifi. One morning wifi was out for selveral hours
2) One morning we h ad no electricity or running water. The staff fixed it as quickly as they could - but I still think this should not be an issue in 2021
3) Noise from bars and cafés half the night

We hadn't read previous reviewers comments before booking to stay, which is a good thing as might have been put off. We had a great stay here. Rooms are attractive and well-furnished. The ones with a terrace are preferable, as noted previously due to the wonderful light quality. The issue of noise is much improved - we are sensitive to nighttime street/bar noise as so many hotel guests are, but found that, while the noise carries on late from the street, keeping terrace doors shut was sufficient to block it out. Hot water etc no problem. Wifi and TV worked well. And, the restaurant on the main floor was a delight. We would go back here anytime.

We stayed here two days. The hotel is next to a bar that plays very very loud music almost all night. It was a little difficult to sleep. There was spotty hot water. There is Wi-Fi but it comes and goes. There is a restaurant but it was never open. I believe that there was only one other guest in the hotel and we were there during Thanksgiving week.
Apart from the loud music all night, and the spotty hot water, and the spotty Wi-Fi the hotel was clean and modern and centrally located.
I would not suggest staying here.

Nice small hotel, excellent central location. Noisy day and night. Poor wifi, no hot water. Mediocre restaurant. It is a shame, because the place is really nice. Loud music playing in bars around hotel can be heard until 4 AM. During the day you can hear music coming from the hotel lobby from 7 AM. In room tv unusable, image quality in cable channels was terrible. Water pressure was low and no hot water was available. Wifi connection slow and unreliable. Friendly personnel. Not recommended.

I pulled up to this place with my dog and there was no parking - though advertised as nearby. They wanted me to walk three and a half blocks with my dog while stray dogs run all over. I, also, would have needed to make multiple trips. It was such a bad situation I booked an AirBNB. They refused to give a refund. I would not recommend this place if you have pets. Their description is misleading

Good afternoon Mr. Jeffrey Unfortunately the cancellation and refund policies that the agency in question and for the time it was canceled did not reimburse him. We regret not having given us the opportunity to know our facilities and change the perspective of the service we offer; In fact, our parking is 150 meters away, since we are located in the historic center of this colonial city, the architecture does not allow us to have parking inside the facilities, as is the case of most hotels, thousand apologies .

The hotel has an amazing location. Its a few steps from the main plaza which is really nice. Its a gorgeous place, big room, very confortable beds. The service is excelent and the personel is always helpfull. The only two bad things for me are that there is no wifi in the room and the noise from the bar is too much. Even on Sunday the bar near by has very loud music late night.
Besidea that, if you wear ear plugs its a great place to stay.

To start off, I'll say that this was definitely the best LOOKING hotel we've stayed in on our many visits to San Cristobal. It's beautifully designed, with a good balance of modern with some traditional elements. The bed was comfy and the pillows were the best I've seen in a mid-range Mexican hotel. We had a room with a private terrace and the light was beautiful! Most other rooms were looking into the courtyard, which didn't get much light.
Unfortunately, there were some significant issues, which made me shorten what was going to be 4 nights at this hotel to one night. Other visitors to this hotel have mentioned that it's loud. It is DEFINITELY loud. It's next to a disco, so that's part of it. Frankly, I could sort of ignore the disco...it becomes background noise after a while. What really bothered me was after the disco closed, some people were in the hotel lobby shouting for 3 hours, and the way the building is constructed, sound bounces around like crazy. We were on the third level, and we could hear the phone ringing at the front desk. It was not restful. Another issue is that there was no Wifi in the room, no matter what network I tried. I had to go to the lobby to get online, which wasn't really a problem for me, but could be for others. The other problem was the bathroom. It was great looking, but very open to the room. Unless you're *really* interested in your travelling partners bathroom habits, it's a little off-putting. There's room to install a simple sliding door on a track, which would make the space more usable for two people, so I'm not sure why the designers skipped that. It was VERY clean and the staff members were very pleasant.

Dear Ayne We appreciate your opinion. Sincerely I apologize for this bad experience, we are sorry to hear what happened, which we are already working on to provide all our customers with better service and comfort in the stay of the guests, unfortunately there are several night establishments that are throughout the city especially in the historic center, which already worked on this problem and the hotel is now completely airtight, we would appreciate again with your visit to take a better impression of us.
