We went to San Cristobal for our anniversary and chose the Guayaba Inn based on reviews and we were not disappointed. First off Angel and the rest of the staff were amazing. Angel welcomed us each night and helped book us a few tours while we were in town. Trips to Canyon Sumidero and Lagunas de Montebello are definitely worth it after you have explored the town. Breakfast was included in our booking and it was absolutely delicious each morning. We felt the location was perfect as well. It's not right in the city center, but a short walk away and this was great as it was quiet at night, but for sure very easy to get to the hustle and bustle of the city center. As for the room we had room 6 and this was also amazing. The room was super cozy with a small balcony, fireplace and large bathroom. We slept very well each night. If you are thinking of travelling to San Cristobal we would highly recommend staying here. ~Brett & Adriana…
Situated an easy walking distance from the town center, this delightful hotel is a must when visiting San Cristóbal. The rooms were roomy and very clean. Most importantly the beds were sleep-in comfortable and the breakfasts more than acceptable. The garden is a delight and the staff friendly and helpful to a tee. Cannot recommend this enough. Note though, you‘ll have to park on the street.
Beautiful small hotel. Delicious breakfast included. Mole is one of the best I’ve had. Outstanding service. Ten minutes walk from downtown San Cristóbal. I loved it. Definitely a place I’d stay again if I’m in town.
We stayed here 6 nights and we had amazing experience. To start with, the room very super clean, cozy, spacious and had a fireplace! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Thank you! We enjoyed a lot!
This is an exceptional boutique inn in SC. Walking distance to everything in a quiet neighbourhood. Spacious, beautifully decorated rooms set in a gorgeous property. Service is excellent. Great breakfasts, attention to detail. They even gifted us pox, soap and a bottle of bubbly in New Year’s Eve. Hope to come back one day. 5+ stars and beyond.
A group of friends and i spent a week in San Cris at the Guayaba Inn and we absolutely loved every moment. Beautiful rooms very well designed. Our room had a fireplace with fresh dry wood at all times which was used every evening. We had excellent breakfasts served in a pretty bright breakfast room and loved the service. Rodrigo the manager and concierge was fantastic. We loved all his restaurant suggestions and we loved his very polite and charming self. I have nothing but praise for the Inn. We will be back soon hopefully. I recommend the Guayaba Inn as the place to stay in San Cristobal.
We had a great three days staying at Guayaba Inn. It is located slightly away from the centre of town which we liked, we had a beautiful large room with a balcony, the gardens and grounds were beautiful and the staff were delightful and helpful. All good and we would highly recommend.
My two sisters and I stayed in the front room which was a bit tight. There are larger rooms for 3 in this cozy Inn. Their breakfast is delicious and there is a nice selection. Walking to the center of town is a little long but dueable. San Cristobal is a city to explore and admire. Beautiful textiles and textile workmanship. Felt very safe!
The narrow streets were quite challenging when traffic is at its peak. But when arriving we were greeted with exceptional service and a beautiful room. The hotel is walking distance to the historic center. In preparation for our early 5AM departure to Palenque, the staff prepared sandwiches and drinks because we would miss breakfast.
We arrived at this gem in the evening and were shown to our fabulous room! There were two fireplaces and one was ready and prepared with wood for us to light. It is a stunning place exuding tons of history and character. Breakfast was lovely - freshly cooked to order looking on to the gardens and the humming birds. . It’s a short walk into town. Highly recommend.
