We arrived at the hotel after 13 hours of traveling in Chiapas from the Jungle due to road closures along the way. Exhausted, we unloaded suitcases of 2 weeks of travel. We were greeted with the news that the hotel was undergoing repairs very early next morning due to the rain and we could go to a different, as our reservation was paid for in advance. The hotel was completely empty, other than our family. We asked if they could compensate us for the trouble of construction at 7am by giving us an additional room. We were 3 people in a small room with what they call queen beds, but are a bit larger than a twin, but not quiet a full in American standards, they didn't accept to give us an additional room. We chose to stay because we had unloaded everything and were exhausted, but frankly were surprised by the lack of generosity and hospitality. The front desk gentleman that attended us, Angel, was kind and receptive but said the upgrade was out of his hands. We were truly disappointed despite the nicely appointed room. I have not encountered this lack of generosity in a Mexican hotel before.

Hotel Bo is beautiful and super cool. Lovely big rooms, amazing garden and swanky bar. The biggest highlight for me were the staff, they went above and beyond and make my stay at Hotel Bo very special. In particular Lessly, who is a ray of sunshine. The Wi-Fi is really poor and the gym is tiny - but these are minor points compared to the positives. If you are wanting a more chic experience then I would absolutely recommend staying here.

We stayed here as part of a 2 week tour around Mexico for our honeymoon. This hotel is lovely!!! The grounds were pretty. The rooms were large and spacious with robes, slippers etc. We even had a little terrace to sit on. The breakfast was excellent with good selection. I had the musli and fruit which was delicious. Service was great. We were welcomed with a delicious welcome drink which was cold and refreshing. The service was great and personal. We couldn’t have asked for a better location.

The hotel is an oasis in the beautiful town of San Cristobal de las Casas. I stayed in the Garden Suite, and it was an oasis, surrounded by fountains and flowers and the perfect weather day and night. I suggest this suite over the Bo suite, the two story design may be appealing to some but the layout is not as user friendly as the Garden suite. I booked several excursions through the hotel and their concierge team was very helpful through WhatsApp, they even booked a private plane for me to reach the waterfalls and ruins of Palenque which I highly highly recommend as it’s a 45 minute flight or 16 hours driving to reach the waterfalls and ruins and then come back on less than ideal roads. The food was excellent, especially breakfast. The pour-over in room coffee was a bit user unfriendly, but the quality of the coffee was excellent. I also had a wonderful massage on my last day and it was divine! Cannot recommend this hotel enough, Chiapas is maybe a bit off the beaten path, but the Hotel Bo makes a visit to this region memorable.

Beautiful and unique hotel in the heart of the historic district with easy walking to shops / plaza etc. We had a large room with living area and roof top patio. The bathroom was huge and amazing!! Staff was very friendly and we had breakfast here 4 mornings, dinner once. Food and bar drinks were very good. Reception attendants speak English. The gardens were gorgeous. I really loved this place and would gladly stay again!

We spent only one evening at this place and the staff was very friendly, room was comfortable and clean and the restaurant provided and excellent dinner with a good wine selection. Departure at 6:30AM next morning was accommodating with staff assisting with luggage and coordinating with car service to drive us to Tuxtla airport.

We arrived at 5am & were able to get in ! Very comfortable, modern hotel with nice bedroom & bathroom. The only thing to improve is to have a double wash basin for a couple to use, because the single one provided is small & wrongly placed (too far). Wifi is working well everywhere; Linen and beds are great. Water bottles are provided; Aircon is working. Then, the BO has one of the best restaurant in town !
