We had a beautiful room, we had been many times, so every time we go, we stayed there, they are the best hostess in the whole area. They have their own travel agency they offer you a variety of tours.
My daughter found this for our travels with her husband in Chiapas. We needed a large room and found a beauty at this hotel. Jorge, the Tsosil manager, was exceedingly helpful with all our needs. We needed left luggage for a week and different left luggage for several hours while we picked up our rental car. Jorge was glad to make all that possible. Tiny Lupita was our housecleaning lady. She has three small children and was working extra hours in prep for Semana Santa. There is a restaurant but we didn't try it. Keep in mind to be generous to staff when they go the extra mile to help out. We were just minutes from our favorite restaurants (Cocoliche and Tierra Dendro). Nearby Guadalupe street is a miracle collection of great shops and restaurants. Our second floor room was quiet at night. Taxis regularly passed by so we had no trouble picking up on when we needed. The street is one way so be ready to jump in that taxi! Clean water is available on the second floor but we thought it had an odd taste. We bought bottled water from the small market to the west, 1/2 block away. A laundry is on the same corner.…
As other reviews state, the hotel is overpriced, cold and the towels are thin, small and worn. Do not be fooled by the photos of the pretty garden. Wifi does not reach the rooms and our hot water lasted only 3 minutes!! We had three pillows between the two of us and requested another one, only to be told that there weren't enough pillows because the hotel was fully booked. Not only this, but upon voicing our disappointment to the member of staff on receoption, he proceeded to belittle and frustrate us - he explained that the water doesn't heat fast enough for two people in the hotel to shower at once. He said he couldn't get us any other towels and he was clearly unwilling to do anything to help us. After a long and exhausting exchange, he managed to find 2 extra pillows in an attempt to mollify us. Strange, when he had claimed no such pillows even existed just five minutes previously. We looked at a number of alternatives when we were trying to get our money back from these unhelpful and hostile people, and there are plenty of nice (cheaper!) hotels around the town.…
This hotel is very pretty and has a lovely garden. However the staff are unhelpful and didorganised. The Wi-Fi didn't work. There was one small soap in the bathroom. The towels were old, thin and stained. What a shame... could be so much better.
Located quite close to the centre but not noisy at all, with friendly staff and a nice garden which gives the surrounding rooms a chilling feel in winter... and with no heating you need a good number of blankets to keep you warm in the middle of December. Our room was not very spacious but clean and comfortable. There is no parking space nearby (normal in this colonial city thankfully not adapted to modern traffic) but they will escort you to a parking lot a few hundred metres away where you can leave your vehicle safely. We had to travel very early in the morning and they kindly prepared some hot coffee to keep us warm. No luxuries but clean and well kept.
