Stayed here as part of a coach tour. Beautiful building with lush courtyards of plants and water features. Bedroom was was upstairs. The passageway was covered but open to views of the courtyard. Opposite my window was a wall which made my room dark. Dark furniture added to this. The bedroom and bathroom were tired. Breakfast was taken in another building opposite. Good location. Very good breakfast

Stayed for 4 nights. Room was very clean and shower was hot. Bottled water provided every day. Breakfast was excellent. It was included in our room so could order from the menu unless a buffet was offered - which it was one day. Buffet choice excellent but still enjoyed the breakfast from the menu. Also ate in restaurant in the evening. Prices were fair and food very good quality- though the Grandma’s chicken was interesting. Staff very friendly. Location very good. One street away from the pedestrian one. Not far from the main square. Restaurant is over the road - almost opposite but that’s ok. Would definitely return.

Quiet location but close to the centre. Bedrooms are a little tired but have an attractiveness about them. Our bedroom overlooked an indoor courtyard so plenty of light & as we came out of our room there was another courtyard filled with lots of healthy plants.Breakfast is taken across the road. Large airy room with a good selection of fresh food, nicely made omelettes. Staff were friendly

Stayed here recently for two nights during a recent trip in Mexico. Fabulous old atmospheric building in a great central position.Staff were friendly and helpful during our stay, bedrooms were slightly tired and the toilet and shower area was small but everything worked and plenty of hot water at all times.Beds were harder than we were personally used too but we had some great sleeps.Breakfast was taken in a restaurant across the street and was very good everything we asked for we got.

Nice property and very centric. Room was a bit small for 2 people. The restaurant is in another building. The portions during the breakfast were a little bit small but the home made mermalade was delicious.

I stayed in this hotel with my aunt over the weekend. It wasn't cheap and I was a bit unimpressed with the price at first. The front staff, however, were lovely and treated my family and I kindly. The next day, they agreed to hold our luggage for us so we could site-see, which is not a big deal, except that they also held onto the luggage of those family members who had stayed elsewhere! They called us at 5pm that day to ensure we hadn't forgotten our luggage (we hadn't) and when we picked up our bags quite late that night, they were gracious. I didn't realize that I had forgotten my kindle under my pillow in the morning and, unlike the many hotels who have happily held onto past kindles, they returned it to me. I couldn't believe it. I love the people at this hotel. On a practical note: * The rooms come with a space heater for cold nights * The shower room was old, but the shower was awesome - lots of hot water * They provided big and heavy extra wool blankets * The television was fine * Appreciated the coffee * Did I mention my kindle? Bottom line: Worth every penny and more.

The hotel looks very pretty and historic. It is also very well located close to the centre However, when we arrived we were shown to a a very dark room with no fridge, no towels. When I went to reception to ask (in Spanish) the staff were very unfriendly and hardly spoke. They gave me the bare minimum - 2 bath towels. I had to go back later for a bath mat which I was offered grudgingly. We had no hot water in the evening and the next day - still none. We went to ask and were told it was fine but it was still just off freezing for the first 24 hours. Very disappointing service and quality of room/facilities.

This was a lovely historic hotel centrally located. Rooms were fine, comfortably appointed. Staff seemed very miserable, as though we were an inconvenience. It does not take much to smile and makes all the difference. A minor point we made coffee on the first night and this was not replaced, again it’s the attention to detail that was missing.

The architecture and grounds are beautiful which is what they seem to be banking on. Location good. Slept well. Space heater good. We were really excited about staying here but were so surprised to see the rough condition of the room and shocked with the poor customer service. Our reservation included a couple of free drinks. Since we don't drink alcohol, we asked for just plain orange juice. They brought what tasted like orange Kool Aid with a shot of grenadine. Yuck. When we asked about the orange juice instead, they said there'd be an add'l charge. We've never experienced such poor customer service in all our stays in Mexico. Whoever was at reception never looked up from their cell phone when we came or went the whole time we were there. We do speak Spanish and they acted like they didn't understand. It was just rude. We asked for a wake-up call the day we needed to leave early but doubted they'd follow through. We set 2 phone alarms which woke us up because they never called. The breakfast included is at a restaurant down the street. They seat you in an area in the corner as a hotel guest. Altho it was pretty empty, the service was not great, nor was the entree.
