We stayed 3 nights before Christmas at the luxury apartment belonging to the hotel but located a few blocks away. Very comfortable appartement with nice deciration with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Perfect for our family of 4 with a teenager and a young adult or for 2 couples. A gourmet breakfast with LOTS of choices was served on the hotel premises and we also used their lunch box service the last day because our flight was very early. We did not use the kitchen, but it was very well equipped. 2 little terraces and a garage to make it a perfect place for a longer stay. Service and advice from the hotel employees was perfect and the appartement does benefit of daily cleaning while we were visiting the beautiful Oaxaca city and the surrounding villages. I highly recommend this place and it was VERY QUIET at night which was an important criterion for us on top of having a garage or parking on the premises.

Not sure even where to begin, but Mari and her team completely saved our Oaxaca trip. We originally booked an Airbnb 5 blocks south in the center of the action and the street noise was unbearable. We quickly pivoted and found Las Casona De Tita. It was heaven. There were 3 of us so we actually booked the 2bedroom apartment up the street from the hotel. It’s a great, spacious, extra clean and beautifully decorated private space, so long as you don’t mind an extra 10 min walk up hill at the end of the night, it’s a nice way to have a common space, kitchen and 2 full bedrooms and baths (you can either book the apt via Airbnb or directly with hotel). The stay comes with a gourmet breakfast that was simply delicious. It was enough food that we usually had breakfast there, spent the day exploring, and just had an early dinner. Above all though, it was the staff that made the biggest difference. They helped with any and everything we needed. Their recommendations were invaluable and made our experience so much richer. When I come back next, no chance I’d stay anywhere else. Thank you Hotel La Casona de Tita!

Starting with the reservation experience, continuing with all the help from Marisela and Isela recommending and booking a guide, restaurants, museums and ending with the day to day personal attention from the whole staff, this small boutique hotel now ranks as one of the best lodging experiences I have ever had anywhere in the world. The location is excellent, our rooms were very clean, bedding was comfortable, the linens changed daily and everything worked perfectly. However, the highlight is the people that work there. I can't praise the staff enough. Everyone, from the front desk to the kitchen was always pleasant, friendly, helpful and bent over backwards to make our experience as good as it gets. When the COVID test kits we brought with us from the US turned out to be unworkable, they arranged a local doctor to come administer the tests required to return, including uploading the results to the airline website. The complementary breakfasts were always delicious, an excellent sample of classic Mexican breakfast dishes which our small group thoroughly enjoyed and again the service was ts impeccable. The courtyard is a peaceful space to sit down, enjoy a beverage and talk about the day's events even though the hotel is located close to the Zocalo, the best restaurants, museums, markets and other tourist attractions. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Will definitely stay here again in our next visit to Oaxaca.

We just returned from a wonderful 5-day visit to Oaxaca with our three adult children, including our son who lives in Mexico City, has traveled to Oaxaca several times, and chose Hotel La Casona De Tita as our home base. We occupied three out of La Casona's 6 rooms during our stay and each room, decorated to reflect local style, was comfortable, spacious, and lovely. Our rooms came with complimentary breakfast which we took under the eves of the open patio, the hotel having been a hacienda in a past life. The menu was expansive, the food was delicious, and the patio is a popular place for both guests and locals to dine. During the rare times we had an opportunity to relax we sprawled in one of the seating areas with a cocktail or lemonade and just took in the beauty. The staff, both before and during our stay, was stellar! Not just warm and friendly, but endlessly accommodating, arranging everything from a private tour of ruins to the visit by a local doctor to administer the COVID tests that 4 of us needed to fly back to the US. La Casona was a wonderful, wonderful place to call home during our stay in Oaxaca and we will return the next time we're in town.

La Casona de Tita is a wonderful experience. The boutique hotel has 6 rooms that share a lovely courtyard. Rooms are beautiful and very clean. With a simple but elegant decoartion. They have large spacious bathrooms. The location is just close enough to the center to go walking; an oasis of peace after the crowded center. Breakfast is delicous, and there is plenty of dishes to chose from. I really recommend starting with a plate of tropical fruit with yogurt and homemade granola. Followed by a vegetable omelette and finishing with the pound cake and hot chocolate, Gabriel and Maricela made our stay unforgettable. Thanks so much!
