Travelers with a taste for elegance and comfort will delight at the chance to stay at the newest in the series of Oaxaca's Parador Hotels, "Parador San Agustin". The Parador San Agustin was recently transformed from a deteriorating 16th century colonial estate into a charming, four star hotel with 16 rooms, and an excellent restaurant which, in itself, makes this hotel well-worth the visit. Whether you're a tourist determined to experience the wonders of Oaxaca, or a business person on the run, San Agustin's combination of efficiency, modernity and old-fashioned charm will fit the bill.

I booked this hotel because of its location, price, and reviews and could not be happier! The room is large and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the street. There is no AC, and street noise might bother some since an open window and fans keep the room cool, but I love the connection to the life of the city. Breakfast, included if you pay cash for the room, is delish with lots of choices. If you have to pay, it’s still a bargain! The Zocalo with its restaurants and people watching is a short block away and San Domingo is a pleasant stroll up the street.

The staff is so accommodating and friendly specailly Jairo. The rooms were comfortable enough but sorely need air conditioning. Get rooms away from the street. The breakfast is good. But the location is the top attraction.Minutes away by foot to the major sites of the city.

My Fiancé and I stayed here for 6 nights and it was amazing! The room was cozy and the lobby/central breakfast area was beautiful. It had an open ceiling which made for a nice breeze to enjoy while having breakfast. If you pay for your stay in cash, they give you free breakfast every morning because it saves them the transaction fees. I got huevos con chorizo(my childhood favorite) every morning and it was to die for. As a Mexican I approve their yummy dishes. I wanted to stay somewhere that wasn’t an American-type chain hotel and this was exactly what I was looking for. An authentic experience of a beautiful stay with kind and courteous people. The location couldn’t have been any more perfect. Just a couple blocks from the city center which featured tasty restaurants, hand made goods, and live street music. I highly recommend anybody to stay at Hotel Parador San Agustin.

Would defiantly stay here again was very comfortable, very clean, great staff and awesome location close to Zocalo. Staff were very helpful from everything from Taxi’s, which tours to take and so much more.

The location was great and so was the breakfast which is made fresh everyday! Also the staff was really nice and helpfull. Our room was spacious and clean but facing the very busy and loud street - if you wish for more quietness, ask for rooms that don‘t face the street. The temperatures dropped at night so you could sleep without aircon, etc., which was very nice. A few things that could be improved though: - water pressure almost non existent - as was warm water - we showered cold most times But all in all a really nice hotel with a great location and good value for money!
