we stayed for 2 nights on a tour of Mexico. We immediately felt comfortable on arrival. It is in gardens above the town. A very nice bar with views. A restaurant offering a good choice of Mexican dishes. Service excellent. Breakfast buffet was good and relaxing. It has steps down to gardens and a large swimming pool. Rooms were in... More

Just returned from Magical Oaxaca. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this charming, ancient town. This resort had everything we needed. Great service, delicious breakfasts, enjoyable happy hours with live music each night. We also enjoyed the shuttle service into the Zocolo.

Overall, a very nice hotel. The room was pleasant but a little dated. The view over Oaxaca was splendid, but the room was next to reception and the bar. This meant a lot of noise late into the night. Many of the staff struggled with English but their friendly disposition meant this wasn't a problem. Laura on reception is wonderful!... More

We really can recommend this hotel, especially when travelling with kids! There is lots of space to play and run around and of course there is a nice Pool too. The room was very clean and we had a great view over Oaxaca! The breakfast and the dinner was extraordinary good - we really loved it!

This is an older hotel (from the seventies) but it is very well-maintained with lovely gardens. The room was spacious, quiet and had a very nice veiw of the city below. The bed and pillows were also very comfortable. For $75 USD, buffet breakfast was also included and I considered it very good value for the money. I will definitely... More

This was a great alternative to staying in the fumes of the bustling, noisy city center. The hotel offers hourly vans for the fifteen minute ride into town, and cabs are so cheap that we absolutely loved being in the foothills with a view of the entire valley down below. We opted for the minimal cost of an upgrade to... More

First let me say, this hotel is perfectly acceptable for the price. It's very affordable and has all the amenities you might need. The pool is ok, could use more chairs as they are a hot commodity in the afternoon. Be warned, the water is very cold. The view from the terrace is beautiful, if you're lucky you'll have the... here attend to your every need. The rooms we had did lack a refrigerator but the luxurious bed made up for that...I didn't even miss my own. We ate most breakfasts here because it was so good. The dinners are fantastic at El Tule too. I have only one regrettable issue - my husband was mugged at knife point on... More

we didn't stay here but came for drinks and food to enjoy the view on the outdoor terrace. the menu is pretty amerincaized. we shared a quesadilla, club sandwich, nachos, and fries. it was all ok. the service was good. but the views made up for that. lovely way to spend a couple of hours. if you have bad knees...
