This is a wonderful spot in a very interesting and safe area of Oaxaca. The staff is super friendly, helpful and accommodating and the hotel is very nice, clean and centrally located. We loved it and would return.
First off, beautiful hotel. Very clean. The Sienna Suite was our room. Also very beautiful. Great breakfast served each day in our room. But the best part about this hotel is the staff. Simply the best service I have encountered in years! It was our wedding anniversary and the staff made sure that it would be a flawless stay. Words cannot convey how well they treated us on our stay. The best!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palacio. The staff is amazing. Miguel, Alias, Max, Jose Luis and Christina were very professional and personable. We got great recommendations for tours and restaurants and were always greeted with a smile. The Palacio is well appointed and the rooms are Italian themed with comfortable and luxurious features. It's an intimate hotel where you can have privacy but also enjoy the cordiality of the other guests and staff.
We recently stayed here for 3 nights in the Siena room..The service here was fantastic and personal..excellent location for walking all of old town. The morning continental served in the atrium area was always a great way to start the day..The room was on the ground floor with doors that opened onto the street so privacy when curtains drawn a bit of an issue but did not bother us. The beds, linens, bathroom, shower were all excellent and clean! The roof top area was small. Would definitely recommend a stay here based on our experience.
We're experienced Mexico & international travelers in our 70s. This is a wonderful place to stay - great location, comfortable bed, large room, art-filled public spaces, comfortable seating for breakfast, which is well-prepared, fresh, with attentive service. Our "junior suite" - actually a large bright room with a king bed & A/C - was on the top floor, on a shared south-facing terrace with views of rooftops, church domes, mountains, & sunsets. The staff made it special - cheerful, friendly, offering to help, seeming to enjoy being helpful & hospitable. On weekends, there was late-night noise from bars, but not on weeknights. Inside rooms might be quieter but perhaps darker. The hotel is near many good restaurants and museums, close to Sto. Domingo.
