I was traveling to Oaxaca, Mexico to experience Day of the Dead Celebrations and a friend recommended this lovely place. The main lobby and dining room is a converted Victorian mansion across from a beautiful park. The rooms are located around a charming well manicured garden complete with fountain. The rooms were adequate in size and clean beyond imagination. The...

Very nice restaurant. White tablecloths, nice atmosphere. Wait staff is friendly and attentive, great menu! When we were there they had their piano player playing. Right across from El Llano and next to the tourism office.

Oaxaca is magic and only getting better. Casona del Llano is perfectly located just outside the mayhem, but close enough to enjoy it all. The hotel has a beautiful reception area. Rooms are basic and are largely renovated. Service is excellent. Parking available. Set your expectations appropriately and the hotel will be satisfactory and offers value for money.

I greatly appreciated the kindness of all who worked here - at the front desk, the housecleaners, in the restaurant - all were kind and welcoming. The location is a mixed blessing -- it is in a wonderful place, across from a lovely park, as well as in easy walking distance to the heart of the city, but the park...

A XIX century old mansion converted into a nice hotel and restaurant. Most of the rooms around a nice garden. The rooms are modest, very comfortable and very clean. For us the two best thing of this hotel were the location and the restaurant with authentic local dishes. All the people that work in this property are extremely nice and...

We were unfortunate enough to be in this hotel over a weekend and whilst the traffic noise is bad enough they have music in the park opposite until the small hours and at 6.30am they were banging and crashing again. The music started again at 8am. I got up to find no hot water for a shower and the tv...

This hotel is fronted by a grand house, with a couple dozen very large rooms around a beautiful garden in back. The small restaurant is very good, as well. It's a fifteen minute walk to the Zocalo, through several streets of galleries, museums, and modern restaurants. The staff were quite helpful.

Well, the price was right. There are nice big rooms and a good sized bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and there is a very nice big park accross the street. The lobby and dining room has the look of a well maintained old hotel. It cost us $80 US per night and was well worth the money. However, it...

We stayed in this place for a couple of nights during our road trip through Mexico. The building looks nice on the outside, on the inside they could do some renovation.. The rooms itself are nothing special, old style beds and bathroom, but clean. We had a room on the first floor, looking out on the garden which was fine...
