If looking for a fancy place, this is not one. Really clean and comfortable facilities, great service, and above everything, great location. Next to main square (zocalo), and pick-up location to all tours. Great dining places around and close to food markets and Santo Domingo church.

What BS! We got there & they doubled the price! $650 pesos--a lot more than they advertise on trip advisor! If you advertise a price on tripadvisor-stick with it! Do not trick people with these rates on tripadvisor please! We did not stay here... tricky guys!

The room "on sale" had no fan, no window. Small, dark and smelly next to the garbage. The photo on the internet looks nothing like the room. When I asked why the ad doesn't mention no window, ventilation or fan, the clerk said "the ads for rooms with ventilation don't mention it either". I refused to accept it, and after...

We loved Oaxaca City so much we decided to extend our stay by an extra day. The hotel which we stayed at for 4 days was unable to accommodate us but recommended Hotel Gala as it was closeby. The room/bathroom were exceptionally small and as you can imagine, being located right next to the Zocalo, noisy. We made a complaint...

Pro: Very close to the Zocalo, but this was the only real advantage Cons: - Hard bed, almost no light inside the room (no window), small room, I had to wait 10 minutes until hot water came out of the shower Parking is 30 pesos a night, BUT starting at 10pm until 8am if staying before or afterwards you have...

It's very well located, right at the corner of Zocalo. I asked for a big bed (at least a twin bed) and they gave me two single beds! I asked for a change of room but they were full and couldn't give me another one. The floor at the room was a little bit dirty and the toilet didn't flush...

The staff was excellent, very helpful and attentive. The hotel was very clean. However, the walls are thin. Thus, you are able to hear the people in the other room, you are able to hear people talking or taking a shower (at least in our room 108). Also, there are no elevators, but the staff will help you with your...

When we first got to the hotel it seemed nice and all but the first thing you notice is that there are no elevators. So if you get the top floor, you really have to be in shape. The bell boy brings your things up but if you don't like to hike avoid this place or ask for ground floor....

Our stay here was nice almost the whole time. I had a problem with my credit card at the ATM (got stuck in the ATM and I had no cash) and asked for help to the receptionist... He said he needed authorization from his Manager but it was Sunday and he didn't anything to help.

The location of the hotel is great, we where told about the noise on the front rooms so we asked for an internal room, it is just as noisy, just different kind of noise, the room gives into the cube of the hotel with the reception on the first floor, so all night you hear the reception noises, like phone...
