My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Los Pilares. We stayed in room #13, on the terrace level, which is apparently the only room with a king sized bed on the terrace. Although our stay was in early February, which we understood is tourist season, there were relatively few people in the hotel - made it feel like the...

Beautiful older hotel a bit out of the center of town and from main attractions/restaurants. Inconsiderate tourist can be a bit noisey and the beautiful courtyard amplifies their activities. Rooms are pretty and restroom/shower/vanity area are specious (stayed in a deluxe king room). Nice toiletries, phone and microscopic TV. Bed a bit firm but OK. Very large sitting area upstairs...

We stayed 6 nights at Los Pilares. It was a fantastic experience from the moment we were greeted upon our arrival til the very last moment as we said goodbyes. The staff was professional but still so warm and friendly. We asked many questions of oaxaca city and were never disappointed with their recommendations and suggestions....which made our week brilliant....

Beautiful and charming old building. We were warmly greeted and taken to our comfortable rooms by the front desk personnel who spoke English very well. Beautiful center courtyard housing a small bar with the rooms surrounding it was quiet. The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast on the rooftop restaurant where we...

Los Pilares is about 15 minutes from the Zocalo, but it is worth the walk. The hotel is a lovely old building with courtyard bar and rooftop patio with restaurant and pool. We had drinks at the bar and ate breakfast in the restaurant and found both very good. Our room was on the first floor - on the courtyard,...

Due to a delayed flight, we arrived after midnight. This was no problem though as the front desk staff checked us in quickly and gave us detailed directions on how to walk to a restaurant that was still open. The hotel is in an older building, but it is beautifully maintained. I think there are about 20 rooms. We were...

We enjoyed staying at Los Pilares, our home in Oaxaca! We had two rooms across the first floor courtyard and both were very comfortable and clean. The terrace upstairs is a huge asset for meals in the open air. Management and staff were friendly and efficient. The hotel is a short walk from the city center and we enjoyed our...

The hotel is very beautiful, being in a restored colonial building. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The warm water had some problem, and was not always hot - that was the only downside. The distance to the center is really ok (~10 min or less) during the day,but in the evening it gets a bit dark to walk,...

This is a small boutique hotel, in a traditional colonial house, adapted to give a warm stay. Beautifully kept, perfectly restored. Rooms and the entire place are very clean. The staff makes you feel at home. Breakfast was delicious at the terraza restaurant, the waiter gave us great tips of places to visit around the city to get a real...

Los Pilares offers an exceptionally friendly, welcoming staff, very nice rooms, beautiful public areas and a very good restaurant. We stayed for a week in a main floor room with one king bed. The bed was wide but too short for my 6'3" husband, and looked as if a queen size mattress had been turned sideways to better fit the...
