The staff at Pilares (Roque, Lucero, Chris among others) were very helpful and always offering to provide assistance. The rooms and common areas were super clean The pool was good to relax at and never felt crowded The location is great and very walkable to restaurants and sites in town. It felt very safe. The neighborhood has awesome murals and many small shops and restaurants, coffee, ice pops We would stay again!

There is absolutely no isolation in the room, either for noise or light from the patio. Bad experience with the staff when asking for paying attention to all the noise. It was impossible to rest in this hotel.

This place is beautiful. With a gorgeous rooftop pool and hot tub, perfect for hanging out after a day of seeing wonderful Oaxaca. Big comfy louge chairs, with drinks from the rooftop bar and restaurant. Perfect. The rooms are pretty basic. Ours opened onto the courtyard, so no sunlight or air coming through. The beds are too small for someone of moderate height. And, frankly, were pretty uncomfortable. I could not sleep well here. The staff were the best I had in a month of travelling Mexico. Just a terrific level of service. I'd stay here again for the chilled environment on the rooftop, and accept that I wouldn't get a great sleep.

Las Pilares is a lovely hotel. I’ve stayed there before and had a good experience. This time when we checked in for the afternoon the desk staff told us they were fully booked despite what online said- 2 rooms available This stay was not great. We were on the first floor and the noise after 9:00pm was relentless. The echo in the hallway was so loud we heard every conversation and door slamming.

Lovely hotel with very nice rooms, good shower, great amenities. Exceptionally friendly staff that goes the extra mile to help you. After 4 days we tried the restaurant; big mistake not to try it sooner. Both food and drinks are amazing, we came back 4 more times to have dinner/breakfast and everything we tried was amazing! The pool is not too big but it does it’s job of cooling you off. The beds next to it are very comfortable and they do service drinks there too. In the morning we did hear some noise from (presumably) the kitchen but since our room was on the first floor it wasn’t a problem for us. If your room is on the second floor it might. Hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the main square in the historic center.

My husband and I had the greatest time at this hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the hotel is sparkling clean. For breakfast they have Mexican food, and it was just AMAZING. For dinner they have Italian food, and it was espectacular. If we ever go back to Oaxaca, we will definitely stay here.

This is a sweet, friendly, SUPER clean, and service oriented hotel. They brought us coffee at 6:30 am, made us custom ordered alioli, had the best bread I’ve ever tasted! Our waiter was amazing! And ALL within walking distance. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for four days over New Year and LOVED it. Our king room was spacious, quiet, dark and very comfortable. The service was consistently excellent throughout the visit, and upstairs there is a gorgeous restaurant/bar serving great homemade Italian food. The cocktails are delicious, and the relaxing hot-tub is the prefect place to enjoy them from! It’s just a 10-15 min walk to the very centre of town, and there are nice cafes and bars just round the corner so you feel part of the city but also like you are in a relaxed, quiet quarter. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to the magnificent Oaxaca to indulge ourselves in all things culinary! <3

I absolutely loved my stay at Los Pilares Hotel. The location is perfect, with just a stone's throw away to all the must-sees in Oaxaca. The handpainted wall details are an indication of the attention to detail this charming hotel portrays. Aside from the warm interior, I have to mention a few more things; the food was delicious, the micheladas - perfection, and the service were amazing, especially from Lorenzo (an Italian gentleman) and his wife Pilar. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and you could tell they were very passionate about what they do! Can't wait to come back and visit again!

This is a perfect place to stay in Oaxaca. The owners and staff were welcoming and helpful, attentive to our every need. Our room opened into a beautiful courtyard, and the upstairs open-air terrace restaurant area was beautiful as well, decorated with gorgeous plants. The hospitality was amazing, the hotel was super clean, the restaurant food was delicious, and I would definitely stay here again.
