We stayed here for four days over New Year and LOVED it. Our king room was spacious, quiet, dark and very comfortable. The service was consistently excellent throughout the visit, and upstairs there is a gorgeous restaurant/bar serving great homemade Italian food. The cocktails are delicious, and the relaxing hot-tub is the prefect place to enjoy them from! It’s just a 10-15 min walk to the very centre of town, and there are nice cafes and bars just round the corner so you feel part of the city but also like you are in a relaxed, quiet quarter. We will absolutely stay here again when we come back to the magnificent Oaxaca to indulge ourselves in all things culinary! <3

I absolutely loved my stay at Los Pilares Hotel. The location is perfect, with just a stone's throw away to all the must-sees in Oaxaca. The handpainted wall details are an indication of the attention to detail this charming hotel portrays. Aside from the warm interior, I have to mention a few more things; the food was delicious, the micheladas - perfection, and the service were amazing, especially from Lorenzo (an Italian gentleman) and his wife Pilar. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and you could tell they were very passionate about what they do! Can't wait to come back and visit again!

This is a perfect place to stay in Oaxaca. The owners and staff were welcoming and helpful, attentive to our every need. Our room opened into a beautiful courtyard, and the upstairs open-air terrace restaurant area was beautiful as well, decorated with gorgeous plants. The hospitality was amazing, the hotel was super clean, the restaurant food was delicious, and I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is charming, peaceful and absolutely beautiful. A quiet, gorgeous location but only blocks from centro. A swimming pool surrounded by lush gardens. A great restaurant, with delicious food. Excellent staff, always friendly and helpful. And fresh flowers and candles everywhere! They even arranged a babysitter to watch our kids so we could have a date for Valentine's day. Will absolutely stay here next time we're in OAX.

This place operates with the professionalism and efficiency of a 5 star resort. And we were SO surprised to find that the hotel must have just had some massive renovations because the pool area and rooms looked a lot different and updated than the photos we looked at when booking. I was a little worried about the location of our room being right next to the restaurant, but I couldn’t hear a thing. The doors and walls are solid in this place. The restaurant is beautiful and the terrace makes for a lovely way to start your day with a cup of coffee and a scone. Cristian (late night staff) was wonderful to us the entire stay and helped us book a tour. I will write a separate review for the tour because it was awful. Of course, this is not the hotel’s fault. The bed was comfy and the shower was huge with good water pressure. Our room was cleaned everyday. Very short walk to city center and Xocolo (~10-15 min). Safe and quiet area.
