We recently stayed at Lorena’s lovely bed and breakfast. We stayed in the Jade room, which was warmly decorated with everything we would need. The air conditioning was a fabulous addition as the weather was warm while we were there. Lorena and her staff provided us delicious breakfasts each day. She also assisted us with ideas for a cooking class and made arrangements for a driver when we wanted to head out to the villages. Would love to bring our family back to Oaxaca and stay here again. The location is an easy walk to el centro de ciudad and very safe

Greeted by Lorena’s beautiful smile! Estancia de Valencia is a wonderful B & B in Oaxaca City . With only 3 rooms and no children allowed it makes it a peaceful place. Loved the colonial decor and the patio to have a cold Modelo. The house is immaculate and the breakfasts are a treat! Walking distance to everything and at the end of the day come back to quiet and relaxation! A few Restaurants nearby we loved: La Biznaga-Taco Sireno-Cafe Arabia- At Casa de Barrio: Cafe de Barro and Agavero Espero volver algún día!!

This lovely B&B is the perfect place to start your day in Oaxaca. It's located in a tranquil spot just a few blocks from Santo Domingo and within walking distance of museums, restaurants & shopping. Lorena, the hostess, was very helpful in arranging drivers for transport to airport and surrounding sites. We enjoyed the relaxing courtyards, and especially the delicious traditional breakfasts. We look forward to returning.

Lorena, the hostess, helped me recover my lost phone - an example of hospitality beyond the call of duty. We stayed in the studio apartment a block and a half away from the main house Even so, we joined other guests for delicious breakfasts daily.

I loved staying at this beautiful and friendly inn. Oaxaca was bustling for Day of the Dead, and Estancia de Valencia was quiet and comfortable. The Innkeeper Lorena was lovely, advising us on outings, and providing a delicious breakfast. We enjoyed the courtyard and garden, as well.

We stayed at Estancia de Valencia with our 15month old daughter this past February. Lorena was a wonderful host who welcomed us into her beautiful home and treated us with warmth, kindness, and generosity. The meals were absolutely delicious and filling. Each morning the table was beautifully set in traditional Oaxacan embroidered linens. The room was comfortable and clean and they even accommodated us by providing a crib for our baby. Lorena helped to organize transportation to outside towns and we found all city sights to be within walking distance. We had the most wonderful visit and we can't wait to go back.

We arrived at 8:30 AM after a very early flight from Mexico City. We were greeted by the owner, Lorena Santos Cruz. She invited us to join the other guests for breakfast. From that moment we knew we had selected the best place in Oaxaca. Senora Lorena was so hospitable. Her attention to detail is evident in every detail. The bed and breakfast is beautifully decorated. The inside living area and outdoor patio are very inviting. We stayed 5 nights in the B&B and 4 nights in the studio. Both locations are outstanding. We do not hesitate recommending Estancia de Valencia.

Lorena the host was an angel when my husband was sick during our stay. She and her husband took us for medical care and Lorena later took me to the market, pharmacy, and for chicken soup. Her gracious kindness was above and beyond our expectations. Our room was a beautiful and quiet retreat during an anxious time. Lorena and her helper Malena made sure we had juice and tea in our room and went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible.

This little bed and breakfast is one of the nicest bed and breakfast establishments I have ever encountered in my foreign travels. Beautifully furnished and decorated, it served as a home away from home for us while we visited the city for a week recently. It's very close to the center of historic Oaxaca, not to mention located within a neighborhood filled with modest, but tasty restaurants and modest eateries. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Zocalo and the city center. Lorena, the owner, is well connected with such services as guides and drivers, so she can make sure you can take advantage of places to see and things to do in the region. She also know the culinary scene quite well, and just very helpful in general. The breakfasts are five-star meals. And offer a taste of the foods of the region. Overall it's quiet and restful ...an ideal retreat!…
