I stayed in the Red Tree House for 5 nights after Easter. I arrived tired after a long journey, but was greeted with a warm smile from the staff and given a glass of wine! This was typical of the type of service I enjoyed throughout my stay, all the staff were consistently helpful and friendly. I got great tips... More

My husband, two teenage boys and I stayed here for 7 nights in March. From the initial email communications, to the welcome when we arrived to the outstanding service of the amazing staff each and every day and the beautiful accommodations, we felt well taken care of and part of the Red Tree House Family...Comparable to any 5 star hotel.... The Red Tree House is an amazing experience in accomodation in Mexico City. First of all, it is in the charming area of La Condesa with quiet boulevards, nearby restaurants, parks, boulevards and fountains. The building itself is beautiful with cheerful coloured walls, balconies and lots of flowers. The hosts, who speak fluent English, are extremely helpful and welcoming, even as... More

The Red Tree House is a very unique property. The service is impeccable in a friendly sort of way, as opposed to what might be considered excellent service in a large hotel chain. The rooms are charming, comfortable and very clean - not fancy - and the courtyard is very peaceful. It feels very safe to stay in this bed... More

My business partner and I stayed in this hotel for 12 nights. We are photographers that travel around the world photographing architecture for a New York client and have stayed at dozens of five star hotels. Many have been outstanding but none better than the Red Tree House. What separates this hotel from all others is the staff. They love... More

My wife and I have recently returned from our third stay at the red tree house and again greatly enjoyed the plant filled patio, the gracious hosts, terrific breakfasts reasonable cost and overall charm of the place-oh yes and Avril the friendly lab. Looking forward to our next visit-book ahead as its very popular with many returning guests like us.

This is our 4th time staying at the Red Tree House. While others we know go to Cancun or Cabo for spring break, we see no reason. We can get the best of all worlds visiting DF and staying here. Being in the city allows you to spend your time doing cultural activities (visiting museums, galleries, great restaurants) while staying... More

The friendliest hotel in the world. You will be welcomed with a glass of wine and if you want introduced to other guests,if not you can keep to yourself. Beautiful rooms, ours was the cheapest but amazing value. Great location to explore the city. The staff will help with anything you need to know about getting around, or they will... More

Ditto the other reviews. We had a fantastic seven day stay. For us, what really makes this place is the staff. Super nice, supremely helpful and all with a great sense of humor. You never, ever feel like you are imposing. Total hospitality. We traveled with our eight year old son, and the garden rooms were perfect for us- the... More

The Red Tree House surpassed all my expectations. As a solo woman traveler, I prefer to stay at guest houses and small hotels where one can seek advice from staff. The owners and staff at the Red Tree House were extraordinarily helpful, welcoming and enthusiastic. They were always ready with advice on where to go, how best to get there,... More
