When I arrived at the Red Tree House, I wondered if it could really be as great as all these reviews suggest. I've noticed on Trip Advisor that sometimes a restaurant or hotel can have particularly great staff (and as you can see from the other reviews, Red Tree House staff are much loved and appreciated) which makes reviewers more likely to overlook small flaws in the rooms or food or overall hotel experience. That's NOT what is going on here-- it really is just as wonderful as all these reviews suggest. Yes, the staff are pretty much perfect-- warm, friendly, helpful, great English (thanks for making me laugh, Alejandro, and keeping me company at breakfast). But everything else is pretty much perfect too. The Condesa neighborhood is stunning, and the Red Tree house is situated by a gorgeous green park. The design and ambiance of the hotel is charm itself. There is original art everywhere and a warm fire when you come downstairs every morning. My room was cozy, well-decorated, and clean. The world's chillest yellow Labrador wonders around the place, looking for scratches and snacks. The breakfast is lovely and tasty-- cooked individually by the staff, it was far better than any traditional hotel breakfast I've ever had. You can eat your home-cooked breakfast in a lovely internal courtyard with beautiful shady trees. In short, just stay here. You won't regret it. I'm already planning my trip back.

I arrived at 6am alone looking to check in with a nearby hotel I had booked, but due to Covid that hotel had reduced their hours and had no one at reception until 9am. I walked down the dark road and found the Red Tree House with bright lights and a nice ambiance and who had very friendly and helpful staff. They offered me a room to stay in at their hotel while I waited for mine to open up. I was so thankful to get into a clean room at their nice hotel after a lot of hours of traveling and very little sleep. I so appreciate the kindness. Thank you so much Red Tree House!!

I spent 5 nights at their Oaxaca Junior Suite. The B&B is absolutely lovely & comfortable, with a delightful and peaceful inner patio, amazing decor and art on the walls, wonderful and walkable neighborhood. But what truly sets this place apart is the staff. I felt so welcome, like staying with family & friends, with a great ambiance and wonderful conversation over breakfast (which is, by the way, magnificent...). Special mention to managers Alejandro and Omar and to cook Angeles. Special thanks to owners Craig & Jorge, and to fellow guests & travelers Trevor & Matthew. You all made for a truly memorable stay. Thank you all so much.

Even in a pandemic with borders shutting around me I somehow had an amazing couple of weeks in Mexico City. This is mostly due to the staff and facilities at the red tree house. It is just like staying with friends, the connection between the staff and the guests is exceptional. The rooms are so comfortable and the breakfasts delicious too. I wish I could give them 7 stars.

My wife and I stayed here for five nights at the beginning of our trip to Mexico and one at the end. It was a completely lovely experience-both rooms were immaculate, quiet and comfortable. The decor of the hotel was striking with original art in all the public spaces and in both our rooms. The entire staff was attentive, charming, bilingual and unfailingly helpful. Victor, the office manager, was able to arrange visits for us to places I had been unable to access from Canada. The breakfast each morning was delicious, and happy hour each evening was fun and gave us a chance to meet other guests and exchange ideas about the city-don’t miss it. We recommend the RTH without reservation and only hope our next visit will be soon (and longer). In
