The restaurant and the staff in general are of a good standard. But staying somewhere where electronic music was played full volume from morning (11am) to night (into the early hours), loud enough to be loud inside my room, was horrible. There was a party organized for the saturday I stayed there with no warning given to guests, so that the whole centre of the hotel was full of random people, with more loud music blaring. Bathrooms do not have a bath. Overall, the experience was not at all relaxing and bad value for money.
Since i arrive at your hotel i felt in my second home, i was with a group our my friend with 6 more rooms, one of my friend was in 001 and Erick at front made a change of a better room in 3 floor because 001 is too noise, i eas in 104 and service at the restaurant is good too, but specially Erick in our whole stay made us felt like a luxury hotel i will definitely recoment to more friends your hotel. Just as i feedback the girl at the front desk always looks in a bad mood and has a terrible service.. And also housekeeping sometimes is late because one of the cleaning girls told me they are just 3 chabermaids
We stumbled upon this hotel thanks to hotel tonight, we extended our stay 3 times since we loved everything about this hotel. It is a boutique hotel in the Reforma district, we highly recommend it as it has an amazing restaurant and bar in the restaurant, and in the morning there are a group of about 3-5 cars that sell food on the corner. Each one of the cars has better food than the next in whichever direction you care to start. The front desk recommended the food trucks and we literally had breakfast there almost every morning. The hotel has literally, no joke or exaggeration, some of the friendliest staff We’ve ever encountered una hotel. Great teamwork, as a business owner I admire it immensely! The hotel is situated in an area that allows you to easily commute by walking to the center of Reforma where the famous symbol of Mexico City the Angel de la Libertad is located. The hotel is also pet friendly, very pet friendly actually, and there is a park for dogs literally two blocks away. We couldn’t have found a better hotel for what we needed.…
This hotel is very unique with a great boutique feel. The staff was great and the little restaurant on site was quite good. We stayed during the Formula 1 race that our team was working and all the reviews were great! Highly recommend this hotel!
I had a really good experience at Hotel Carlota CDMX. This was my second time staying here. The price is great and the hotel is just what you need. Good (central) location and walking distance to some of the more bobo streets. The rooms are stylish, especially if you can request one of the rooms on the third floor with the roof terraces (my favorite). This also brings more natural light into the room. I like that it's an indoor/outdoor open air floor-plan, especially good during covid. Restaurant is just what you need. It's just what you need. some furnishing a little simple, but for the price, no problem. Professional. Last time I stayed here I actually made friends with some Aussies who I remain friends with! Something about the floor plan promotes a friendly environment. Recommend, Cheers.…
I chose this hotel as I wanted a quiet and safe place where to stay during my trip to Mexico, but the result has been tragic. After having left for one day my luggage in the storage room, I realized that an Apple Watch was missing from the luggage. It was a brand new Apple Watch that I appositely left in the storage room in order for it to be safe. I called three times the hotel and each time they told me that they would have checked and called me back. I never received any call back, it was me, all the time, to call and ask for any news. I have been told that the camera tapes have been checked and nobody touched my luggage. After asking a couple of time for the possibility to watch myself at the tapes - always been denied - I have been told that there were no cameras. I honestly doubt that there are no camera in such a “fancy” hotel. Moreover, it sounded very weird to me that on the first place I was told that the tapes have been checked, and then that there were no cameras. It really sounds as a bad excuse. I was also very much surprised from the lack of collaboration, I felt cheated all the time. I even wrote emails to the general manager / owner of the hotel, who only answered after I informed him that I filed a report with the police and that I would have shared my experience. I have been simply told that they were all trying to help me and would have contacted me in case they would find anything - I wonder how, given that more than 10 days were passed at that time. I wouldn’t have never expected such a bad experience with a hotel which is supposed to be above average, by looking at the prices and accounting for what i have spent for my stay. I am very deceived and disappointed.…
We had made a booking via booking.com and due to the coronavirus situation we couldn’t stay at there place.. We called them and explained them the situation that we were stuck in Mexico and had a last minute flight to Europe that we couldn’t miss if we wanted to come back home! We asked them kindly just not to pay the cancellation fees (45$usd) that we would have to pay above the rate night (55$usd) that we would definitely pay. They told us that it was booking.com that wouldn’t want to refund us but when we called booking.com they told us that they called the hotel for us and it was the hotel manager who was clear that he absolutely don’t want to offer us the free cancelation fees and that he want us to be charged for full not event half refund!! So the hotel manager is firstly rude and above that the receptionist was a liar! I can’t believe that in such situation like that a hotel doesn’t make a small gesture... really shocked Just avoid this place you will be better in an other hotel trust me 🙏🏻…
One of the best kept secret of Mexico City! First, the place is really beautiful: you're in the heart of CDMX, yet Carlota feels like a safe heaven. It's very peaceful during the day: you get a view over the inside court with its cute decorative swimming pool. After chatting with the friendly waiters, we learned that the food is organic and locally sourced --and the care for their ingredients shows in the well-though-out dishes. Carlota serves real Mexican food with a modern twist...and everything we tried tasted absolutely DELICIOUS. We couldn't catch who the chef is, but he's really really talented. The service is top notch: attentive, respectful and refined. The manager is also one of their best assets: He gives you a warm sincere welcome: you only want to come back again and again. Definitely one of our top 5 restaurants in the city!…
We arrived in the early hours of Christmas morning and once we had sorted out the confusion over the extortionate cost of a car pick up from the airport ( TAKE UBERS EVERYWHERE IN MEXICO CITY) we were happily settled in our simple, boutique style room Staff helpful and friendly ( remember to tip or they will remind you) Breakfasts were good. We were very happy with our three nights here.
