I was more than pleasantly surprised with this one. For once, my hotel room looked better than the pictures advertised. The bed was very comfortable, hot shower with great water pressure, room service from the restaurant downstairs, and free parking. My room was cleaned well every day. One block from the Metro Revolution station, lots of great eats nearby. The only minus would be it is not on a street that you should be walking about after midnight, but in the daytime it's an extremely busy commercial area. More

Simple but clean rooms for a very fair price. Easy access to metro and city centre but even so the area leaves much to be desired (women of the night outside from 4pm onwards).

No English-speaking staff but very accommodating to our requests when we spoke Spanish. Breakfast is included but consists only of sweet bread and a drink. Evening food was poor.

There is a huge television in the lobby which is left at a high volume until quite late, particularly when the owner isn't there. Also, it seemed that there were always a few youths hanging around in the lobby when the owner wasn't there. There wasn't any trouble, and it seemed fairly typical of central Mexico City, but it may put off some travellers.

All in all, if you're looking for a budget hotel near the city centre then this is a reasonably good option for you.

Staying in Azcapotzalco

Neighborhood Profile
Azcapotzalco
Home of the Tepeneca people, Azcapotzalco has remained faithful to its roots even as time has passed. Beautiful details abound throughout its gardens, houses and other historical buildings such as the Casa de la Cultural. The works of Siqueiros, Diego Rivera and O'Gorman are in abundance and should not be missed while exploring the area. Walk through the streets and have a taste of the neighborhood, which can be found at the bottom of a good cup of coffee or a scoop of an artisanal ice cream to cool down. Once the sun goes down, there’s nothing better than going out to visit classic cantinas to grab a drink where the nostalgia of the beautiful atmosphere comes to life.
