This hotel is only 400 pesos per night & you will get everything you pay for. Its not new in any way. It's just a bed to sleep on. The wifi only worked in the lobby. The hot water took 5 minutes (we were on the 3rd floor). It gets every loud on Friday nights as the many restaurants on the ally shut & turn into a night club. Very little English was spoken an the reception so bring someone who speaks or cache Google translate to your phone if you need anything besides a room, towels, etc. I would absolutely stay here again just for the location in Centro & price. However, I'm not picky.

The Juarez is a back-packer sort of hotel; the prices are low, the accommodations rather plain, but the location is excellent, the hotel is generally clean, and the staff are always friendly. Rooms with windows can be noisy, but they have a few windowless interior rooms that make wonderful sleeping-caves! I recall the price as less than twenty bucks American -- and you are in the historic center of town with lots of sights and good eats nearby. Did I mention that two metro stations are within easy walking distance as well? This was always a place I could A) afford and B) feel really safe, when traveling with kids.

I first stayed here in 1990 and stayed again in August 2015, and many times in-between. In a budget hotel, I want (1) a safe place, (2) clean rooms, and (3) hot water. Hotel Juarez has all three! The price is fantastic and the location is even better----right by the metro stop Allende on the blue line. There are lots of places to eat nearby. You can walk to the Alameda or Zocalo. I have stayed in many other hotels in the downtown area, but with the price and location, the Hotel Juarez can not be beat. Do bring ear plugs because the music rocks until 2 or 3 outside on Friday and Saturday nights.

For the litlte price, I think it was alright, it's the very center and it gets quite noisy so just ask for a dorm with no windows. The rooms with windows aren't very well isolated so in december it can get really cold. There's hot water, the wifi works, it isn't that effective but there are many restaurants and cafés nearby where you can get online. There is an elevator. Old but working. In general, it's simple and clean, great location. The staff may or may not be that friendly, depending who is in turn, but w/e. For me and my french fellas it was pretty good (except for the ones who got the noisy and cold room :P). I'm actually looking forward to stay there again this summer, asking for the rooms with no windows of course...

Very good for this price .... 340mx for room 2-4 prs. Wifi, hot water, LCD TV, close to Zocalo and metro station Zocalo or Alende (blue line). Cleaning service everyday. Many restaurantas, bars, shopping malls around the hotel. Very good choice for this price.
