Overall nice place. Front desk was very friendly and welcoming. The only negative thing was the airconditioning was not working but they gave us fan . There is no fridge in the room. The bathroom entrance one should mindful when entering there is bump that might cause for you to slip or to trip. The room is clean the only thing is the restaurant is not top notch there is not much to select although the price is affordable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking for a place to stay during their travels. all the staffs are friendly but they need to speak more english.

This hotel is truly a diamond in the rough. The hotel is not in a posh area of the city but once you enter the lobby you will feel like you are in a posh area. It appears that everything has been updated recently and the housekeeping staff keep everything clean inside and out. I reserved the jr. suite and it was very specious, about the size of a New York flat. Because of the size it would have been nice to have a TV in the living/dinning area. The bed was super soft and comfortable. There are independent ac/heat units in the living/dining area and the bedroom. The bedroom has a sofa that i believe converts into a full size bed. The bathroom was very contemporary and double sinks really came in handy. My favorite part was the gym. Hotel gyms tend to depress me, but not this one. It is spread out over two floors with all updated equipment. Both floors have floor to ceiling windows which over looks the pool and two in-ground hot tubs. I believe the locals can buy memberships to the gym, but it was never more than 10 people there at a time so it was never a problem. I was not happy with the door man treated my friends that came to visit me; they were staying in another hotel. They said the staff in the lobby treated them as if they did not belong in the hotel and below him. When they got into the elevator with me the staff stood in the door way and yelled at them in Spanish to the point my friends did not want to stay. The wine selection is not impressive and the bar tender did not know anything about two bottles they had. Lastly the towels in the bathroom need to be replaced. Mine were worn out. Overall the positives and price helped me stay there longer. I would return if I ever went to Mexico City again. Uber is inexpensive way to get around the city and the safest. Make sure you see the pyramids (wear “gym clothes”, a hydration pack, hat and sunblock there is NO shade) and the Castle wear comfortable shoes (it is an uphill walk). Lastly, if you don’t want to stick out as a tourist dont wear shorts, tank tops or flip flops. Cheers

The Hotel is situated close to shopping. Big Shopping mall with a train station, restaurants and bars. Local neighborhood has flavor with dance studios, small shops, and local food stands. I my self been taking salsa lessons. If you like the city feel with authentic neighborhood mix, then Holiday Inn Buenavista is for you. The hotel has a tbree level state of art gym roof top and a hot pool also located roof top. Very chic styling. Its like beeing in Nes York city a little. I am back here again.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this hotel. Great location & quiet! We ate at the breakfast buffet the 1st day, mostly traditional Mexican breakfast, but they also had a station for made to order eggs & pancakes. The 2nd day we checked out the pool. Nice area with a jacuzzi. There was no on button, so we had to go find someone to turn it on. Staff was nice, spoke some English but I tried to speak with them mostly in Spanish They also offer free valet parking & free WiFi The taxis at the hotel are expensive, if you want to the corner, you can hail a cab for less than 1/2 the price
