A decent stay with a safe and comfortable room but for the price, there are better hotels in the area. We've stayed here before and found the room to be slightly more run-down than before. The shower made an awful noise everytime we ran it and others had the same issue and we could hear the noise from our suite. The rooms are very clean and the free mini bar drinks are a real plus. The staff is SUPER friendly and lovely and the morning breakfast terrace is delicious! A great place to relax before starting your day. Overall a good stay but I think slightly overpriced.
Our 8-night stay was OK overall. The location was very good. The shower pressure was great. Toiletries weren't restocked often enough. Mattress was too firm. We were located on floor 4, and the breakfast noise from floor 5 made it difficult to sleep late in the morning. I would not recommend the 4th floor if you want to sleep in at all.
We recently spent 10 days at this lovely boutique hotel. The staff are kind and helped get us a reservation at a much sought after restaurant. Breakfast is included (hot - whatever you like) and the neighbourhood is just full of wonderful places to explore. And there is a new cool mezcal bar in the lobby/next door!! I can highly recommend it and we have plans to return. Special thx to Adriana for all the special attention: you made us feel so welcomed.
We stayed here for 3 nights on our arrival in Mexico. Friendly and efficient staff, speaking enough english to ease me into practising my spanish! Amazing value for a great location from which to explore restaurants and bars in Condesa, as well as the large park and quick access by Uber or taxi to the rest of the city. Would highly recommend and will return next time we are in CDMX.
Maria Condesa was the perfect spot for my week in CDMX. The hotel is cozy and quiet but perfectly located to plenty of action in one of the most charming neighborhoods in the world, La Condesa. The staff is wonderful and extremely helpful, Elizabeth was especially wonderful helping me schedule my COVID test and providing anything else I needed. Would recommend staying here for a quiet, affordable, and clean stay 5/5!
We stayed at Maria Condesa for four nights in early October. I am so glad that a friend recommended staying in the Condesa neighborhood! Very safe, beautiful (many parks and trees!), and lots of great places to eat. We walked to Chipultupec Park and museum from our hotel. Maria Condesa was very clean and roomy. The staff was helpful and immediately addressed all of our needs, including by arranging for a nurse to come to our room the following morning to give us the Covid test so that we would have it later in the week for our re-entry to the US. The full breakfast included in our stay was delivered every morning and was very hearty. We really couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Mexico City. Maria Condesa is a great deal and perfect location for exploring!
My wife and I stayed at Maria Condesa from 09/15-09/20. Immediately we were greeted by the most helpful and friendly staff, specifically Elizabeth at reception and Lalo at the hotel bar. We had a few last-minute changes and needed to extend the duration of our stay. Elizabeth was very accomodating and made our entire stay extremely pleasant. The rooms are modern, quiet and comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance to countless cafes, restaurants and bars. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit Mexico City again!
Maria Condesa is a lovely smaller boutique hotel in La Condesa located at Atlixco132 between Avenida Michoacán and Campeche. I was absolutely delighted to spend 8 days with the friendly, warm and accommodating staff at Maria Condesa. On street level, the hotel has the reception as well as a comfortable inviting lobby and bar that become open-air onto the street. There is seating with tables outside on both streets with service all day. Tables are adorned with cut flowers and candles at night, and has an enjoyable street atmosphere at all hours. The top floor of the hotel has an equally lovely outdoor, covered, open-air terrace, also with plants and cut flowers, and providing breakfast service and a separate smoking area. My room accommodation was comfortable and pleasing in every possible way. The bed and linens were comfortable and superior quality. The bathroom was ultra-modern, with various lighting options, and had an enormous tiled shower with a remarkable waterfall shower that surpasses those I’ve found at Hyatt or Sofitel. The room includes a large television, safe, clock radio alarm, refrigerator, espresso machine, and remote-controlled heating and cooling. The large windows may also be opened. Amenities include a complimentary full breakfast with hot and cold offerings and full wait service, and the food is fresh and delicious. Service hours are 7-11AM, one hour later on Sundays. Items provided in the room refrigerator are entirely complimentary and include sodas, waters, juices, cervezas, and Mexican snacks. Ample bottled water is provided throughout the room. Bicycles are available for guest use, and the staff is ready to assist with arranging rides or other needs. The surrounding La Condesa neighborhood is both inviting and safe. It’s lively day and night, and offers a wide variety of Mexican and ethnic foods within a block in every direction. La Condesa neighborhood offers a far more authentic CDMX experience than staying in Polanco, and nearby are Parque Mexico and Parque Espana lush with trees and greenery. I can offer only the highest recommendation for Maria Condesa accommodations and staff. Warmest thanks to Gabriela and Pablo in reception; to Lalo and Jeremy in the lobby bar; and to Adan and Joel in the terrace. Kudos Maria Condesa!…
Had 3 unexpected days here. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Staff really friendly and extremely helpful. Excellent breakfast and free soft drinks and beer from the mini bar. Very attractive area in Mexico City. Would stay again.
So my wife and I just stayed this past week at the Maria Condesa in Mexico City. We were very happy with many aspects of the hotel. First off, it's in a very safe neighborhood with a lot of great restaurants nearby. This is extremely important if you have a female with you (wife/daughter/girlfriend/mother, etc.) It's easy to catch an Uber anywhere in the town from this hotel, every Uber driver is aware of the hotel. In over 20 rides with Uber, every single one was within one minute to five, so there's a lot of Uber drivers nearby. Within two blocks is one of the best taco places in town (with great pastor con pina), and great Japanese food too. With the situation with the virus, we had to leave the country early. The hotel was understanding, and we have a future credit to return for the unused days, which we really appreciate. The only negative I can think of, is the room walls are thin. You might occasionally get a neighbor who accidently slams a door due to wind and it will wake you up. But this doesn't happen often…
